This article is about addresses specific features of the literary presentation of a Holy Virgin type woman as one of the key characters in Valentin Rasputin's creative work. Main character of The Last Term, old Anna, is depicted with the recognizable elements of hagiographic tradition such as humble acceptance of death, asceticism and the miracle of imperishability inherent to reverend-like life.
