The article investigates the types of characters of Russian and European political history in terms of their private life in Aldanov’s essays. The investigated aspect is semantics of parental home, family and other types of interpersonal relations. The article deals with three Aldanov’s essays – “Uritsky’s Murder”, “Azef” and “Number 14”.
