| 1 | The article considers additional education in the specialty “Translator in professional communications”. Further intensification of the world integration processes in the sphere of science and business increases the urgency of this area and the need for professional translators. The article identifies the professional competences; the formation of these competences is the aim of a successful educational process, notably communicative, cross-cultural, technological. Currently the main important feature of the education of future translators is the increasing importance of their technological competence. Technical progress and reforms in the Russian education system are the cause for the more active use of technical means, first of all Internet resources and Translation Memory in the learning process.
