The purpose of the article is to define the reading strategy with the help of which the development of skills in foreign language reading on the basis of independent educational-cognitive activities of the the technical University students will be most effective. Therefore, it is proposed to classify reading strategies from the point of view of development of the relevant skills. The results of the study allow us to conclude, that teaching reading on the basis of independent educational-cognitive activity using reading strategies, determines the behavior in the learning process of both a teacher and a student: increases activity of a student, enhances educational, stimulating role of a teacher. Mastering the strategies has a significant influence on the formation of students’ abilities to independently acquire knowledge from different sources of information. The practical significance lies in the fact that the results can be used in teaching reading in different languages for teaching students of non-linguistic specialties. The classification of reading strategies will help the teacher in rational planning of the process of foreign language reading, organize learning strategies in the form of progression, according to the didactic principle of availability, move «from simple to complex», which contributes to the most efficient achieving the purpose of reading and learning a foreign language.

This article represents pun as a part of non-equivalent vocabulary and possible ways of its translation. Pun is a concept that cannot be translated directly between languages that is why it often becomes the reason why translators struggle so much while finding the right solution when dealing with puns. Puns represent British culture and British humour. Puns are the reason why British humour is often called dry and why other people like Russians often find it unfunny. Such assumptions can happen due to the poor Russian translation where the pun doesn’t obtain the original comicality it previously had. To avoid this a translator needs to transfer the English pun into the Russian language without losing its comicality. The main objective for a translator is to understand the pun and keep its comicality along with author’s intention. To achieve this he can use the right translation transformations. The right choice of the translation transformation is necessary for a good translation. Having met this condition the translation can be considered as equivalent to the original text. In the present article we compared the original English text containing puns and its 6 translations in order to find those translation transformations which are the most suitable and which keep the comicality of the original text.

The article demonstrates application of relative analysis by example of solving a problem about the origin of antique personality. The article covers the problem of development of philosophy of Russian education and the role of Leo N. Tolsloy, great Russian writer and philosopher, in this process. Under his influence a new religious and philosophic trend appeared at the turn of the 19th and the 20th centuries. According to this trend, spiritual formation of personality could be achieved without religion and moral values are consciousness and conscience. The writer differentiated the terms «upbringing», «education», «learning», «teaching». He determined to each of them certain position in the life of a person. The initial positions of educational philosophy of L. N. Tolstoy, called «free pedagogics», were intellect, labor, freedom of spiritual search of one’s own way of life.

The paper deals with the analysis of opioid receptors, their endogenous and synthetic agonists in the formation of resistance to acute hypoxia. The article proves that stimulation of opioid receptors is normally accompanied by a neuroprotective effect in acute hypoxia. It also studies the role of different types of opioid receptors in the implementation of the adaptation protective effect to hypoxia. Mechanisms opioids activity, the role of cAMP, cGMP, nitric oxide, inositol triphosphate, K+ - and Ca2 + -channels in implementation of agonists effects of opioid receptors are analysed. Opioidergic mechanisms of the reactions that increase the resistance to hypoxia are described.
