1951 | The purpose of philosophical comparative analysis is cultural synthesis; it attempts to engage a reflective meta-position. The main methodological question is the extent to which it is expedient to use the achievements of foreign experience in educational theory and practice in another country. Comparative study makes it possible to pass from descriptions to the answer of more fundamental questions: to explanation and development of reasons. The basic methods are the comparative-confront method, the historical-typological comparison and the historical-genetic comparison. It is important to combine these methods to achieve an objective result. 1960 | The paper describes a theoretical study on the introduction of electronic educational resources in the learning process. The article deals with long-term tendencies in the development of world education. A key focus of development prospects is the implementation of new technologies emerging in global educational community. 1961 | The article discusses pragmalinguistic peculiarities of interrogatives. These characteristics are analyzed at comparing interrogatives to other speech acts. Interrogatives as speech acts have an illocutionary force and a perlocutionary effect similar to those of directive speech acts. The illocutionary force of interrogatives is connected with communicative manipulation when asking for or checking information by referring to another person. The perlocutionary effect of interrogatives is either this person agrees or does not agree to share information. Directive speech acts are also connected with communicative manipulation and the perlocutionary effect of directive speech acts is either the other person agrees or does not agree to fulfill the action. However, interrogatives differ from other speech acts (directive speech acts including) by their locutionary and propositional characteristics. Interrogatives are constructed in a special way and do not contain reference to the answer. At least these locutionary and propositional characteristics of interrogatives makes it possible to consider interrogatives as a separate group of speech acts. Analysis of interrogative speech acts in contemporary American films show that 70 % of interrogatives are used as direct speech acts, i.e. to ask for information or to check information. One fourth of interrogatives contains second illocutions, in most cases these are reproach, indignation and pleading. Interrogatives as indirect speech acts are used in 20 % of utterances mainly to express suggestions. Rhetorical (false) questions are used only in 10 % of interrogative utterances. 1962 | Introduction. This paper investigates the features of intertextuality and intermediality in the artistic narrative for children. Material and research methods. The material of the study is the works of fiction intended for children, published in Russia from 2003 to 2018. Aim and objectives. The aim of the research is to reveal the peculiarities of realization of the most important cultural categories of intertextuality and intermediality in the texts of children’s artistic narrative. The leading method is the method of narrative analysis. Thematic, structural, definitional and discourse analysis methods were used as auxiliary ones. In the course of the study some conclusions of theoretical importance and practical significance were made. Results and discussion. Modern artistic narrative for children is an important element of artistic culture which is characterized by the phenomena of intertextuality and intermediality. The analysis of the works establishes close ties of the modern Russian narrative for children with Russian and foreign classical and modern fiction and culture in general. The enrichment of works with such relations allows their authors to achieve cultural and historical continuity, give a semantic dimension and educational meanings to the text, include modern linguocultural national and foreign knowledge in it. Intertextual and intermedia techniques allow authors of artistic narrative for children to most fully and accurately reveal the main ideas of their works, describe images of their characters, express the features of perception and understanding of modern children’s world, turn their works into a genuine artistic and pedagogical discourse. The categories of intertextuality and intermediality are expressed mainly through citations, allusions, reminiscences, proverbs and sayings. Conclusion. Thus, the narrative as the main strategy of creating a literary text for children allows to realize its most important linguistic and didactic potential, on the one hand, and its categories of intertextuality and intermediality permit to fully reveal the specifics of children’s consciousness, their perception of the world, value preferences and, ultimately, contribute to the implementation of the basic – educational – function, on the other. The results of the study can be used in the narrative analysis of literary texts. Keywords: modern children’s prose, artistic narrative, intertextuality, intermediality | 1270 | |||||

1973 | This article is devoted to investigating the images of grain and bread, which happen to be universally shared among agricultural-based cultures, as they are metaphorized by means of verbalized forms in Russian, English and Italian languages. We will present the common cross-cultural substantial context that lies at the basis of figurative reelaboration of source concepts and describe lexico-phraseological units embodying the images of grain and bread as part of motivational-figurative paradigms. An analysis of metaphoric models reflecting projections of these images in various conceptual spheres pertaining the material and non-material world is provided. The linguistic representation of cognitive metaphoric models is realized by means of figurative words and expressions. They include: metaphors (grain ‘very small and round shaped particle’), metaphoric derivatives (breadwinner ‘a person supporting a family with his or her earnings’), phraseological combinations (take the bread out of the mouths ‘deprive someone of his or her livelihood’), proverbs, sayings, and catchphrases (bread and circuses!). Our analysis will show a shared process of metaphorization in the languages under examination. On the one hand, the image of grain serves as a mean of metaphoric representation for 1) small and round shaped objects, 2) small parts of a whole (a structure or a surface), 3) a little or insignificant amount of something; 4) the source or the central part of something. On the other hand, the image of bread is used metaphorically to indicate 1) means of subsistence, 2) work or its results, 3) prosperity, 4) misery, 5) food in general, 6) positive moral characteristics of an individual. We can observe that in Russian, English, and Italian the figurative and symbolic semantics of grain and bread correspond. Such consistency is due, firstly, to similarities in food preferences among agricultural-based cultures, and, secondly, to the influence of pre-Christian and Christian traditions.
