The article analyses the state of the Russian language in American education in the XXI century. As Russian is critically important for the USA, its teaching is closely connected with the issues of national defense and national security. The article shows that the present cooling of the relationship between Russia and the USA should not be regarded as the key factor in teaching Russian in American system of education and does not predetermine to a great extent the interest of Americans in learning it. The author focuses on the factors that may stimulate the interest in the Russian language in the USA, such as the activity of Russian communities, appearance of working places for Russian language specialists, spread of student and academic exchange programs, and the existence of the policy of the government which will aim at promoting foreign language teaching in the country in general. The article gives examples of the present day interest in Russian in the USA such as Russian dual programs, Russian-American exchange programs, student Olympiads, academic cooperation. The article looks at statistical data of the spread of the Russian language in American educational system nowadays and discusses the future perspective of the Russian language learning and teaching in the country.

The article considers mental dialogue as a methodological basis for engineering applied designees The author makes a supposition of an invariant structure of the dialogue thinking and suggests the conditions under which the dialogue takes place. The conclusion of the article is as following: a traditional linear scheme of design stages (technical task - technical offer - draft design - technical specifications and test samples) should be considered in terms of hermeneutic circle. We regard the Wheeier-De Witt equation as a Sturm-Liouville problem with the cosmologicai constant considered as the associated eigenvalue. The used method to study such a problem is a variational approach with Gaussian trial wave functionate. We approximate the equation to one loop in a Schwarzschild background. A zeta function reguiarization is involved to handle with divergences. The reguiarization is closely related to the subtraction procedure appearing in the computation of Casimir energy in a curved background. A renormallzation procedure is introduced to remove the infinities together with a renormalization group equation.

The article describes the experience of the informatization of foreign language education at the university. Five stages of this process resulted in the generated information and communication competence of teachers, development of e-learning courses based on different technologies and e-learning formats. The author shows that the computerization of education is a long-term, continuous and consistent process that requires systemic and stakeholder actions both on the part of the administration of the university and its faculty. In practice, it was verified that in a weak material and technical base the informatization of education can and should begin with professional development of teachers in ICT. In the course of this study it was also proved that hybrid or blended learning technology, combining traditional face-to-face classes with remote access to electronic educational resources, is preferable in teaching foreign languages.

Perspective direction in common range of insufficiently explored problem of Russian history is the study of Russian soviet everyday life history. This statement fully applies to its regional component - the history of the Stavropol Territory. The article is devoted to daily routine leisure of the people of our country in the 1930ies. The author analyzes such types of leisure as reading, sport, movies, self-education, groups culture in the background of economic, political and demographic processes of the country and the region in the 1930ies. As noted in the article all these forms of spending free time were politicized and ideologized. Through the development of mass culture, sport, organization of recreational facilities and rural clubs, the government established total control over the private life of its citizens. Various methods were used for this purpose such as censorship in press and movies, control over the activity of libraries, unification of citizens in all kind of organizations and clubs, and the orientation of young people to “right” leisure with the the help of propaganda, press and cinema. As a result leisure and leisure time turned into not free, regulated by the government. Leisure time was replaced by alcohol consumption (drinking of alcohol) and drunken behavior which became a norm of life, especially in nomenclature 1930ies.

The main source-spheres of the precedent phenomena are singled out in the article because they serve as a nationally marked coordinate system which is reflected in the language of mass media discourse. The author suggests that the conventionalization of the etiquette has led to the appearance of hidden communication strategies, which functioning is interactional communication. Obviously, interactional communication requires the following certain communicative rules. Thus, verbal behavior as a certain series of interrelated speech acts is a model based on a strategic approach. While a communicant is creating a communicative strategy he implements complex thought processes that require consistency, clarity of vision and prediction of the communication process. The author suggests that the strategy is a behavior line that a speaker creates consciously and follows a certain goal. The characteristics of the strategy of evading a direct answer are given. It is considered that the communication strategy of evading a direct answer is realized through individual tactics. In particular, the examples of one of the tactics in this strategy – down-toning tactics – are quoted. The results of the analysis of the linguistic repertoire of communicative means of the tactics are represented. It is revealed that this strategy makes it possible to reduce the overall speaking annoyed conversation background, to distract an interlocutor’s attention, and gain them. Down-toning tactics can be represented by such lexical and grammatical means of the language as modal words, proper names; syntactic language means: introductory phrases and sentences, addressing.

The article deals with creolized texts consisting of verbal and nonverbal (paragraphemic) elements. With a change of the scientific paradigm studying of a language with its links with other semiotic systems, including non-verbal code becomes very topical. The main method of creolization of a text is to combine a verbal means and an image into a coherent whole linguo-visual formation. A fashion catalogue is a typical creolized text created by the model of: a verbal text is equal to an image. That means that it is primarily created as a creolized text where the verbal and the visual components are specially selected for their interaction. A photographic image for fashion catalogue clients (readers) has a greater degree of significance, than a verbal (written) text. Here colour plays a special role, its psychological language creates a mood, evokes emotions and has symbolic meanings.

The article considers the problem of games as a means of education and teaching technics. The first part refers to the concept of a game itself and different approaches are reviewed. Then the experience of preparing and holding a game with senior school pupils is described. The game was called «Awareness of probiematisation technology (on the example of activity of a translator))). Schoolchildren translated limericks from English into Russian and pointed out basic schemes of their own activity. Translations were presented and analyzed as derivatives of certain lines of approach to translation - word for word and sense for sense. The norm of translation activity was practiced.

As a result of the realized researches from 2006 to 2009 and on the basis of the literary data in the pool Chulym river dwelling of 225 kinds of zooplankton is established. From this structure for the pool of the river Chulym (Tomsk region) 109 kinds is given for the first time, including for fauna of Russia – 7 kinds, and for Western Siberia – 11 kinds. Distribution and generality of specific structure of zooplankton in different types of reservoirs is considered.

Today’s school objectives to teach students to learn suppose developing of internal motivation among students. The priority motives of students of juvenile age are as follows: interest in the new; aspiration to fulfill one’s potential; necessity to understand the training material; significance of the studied material for improvement of personal experience. The content of mathematics education plays an important role in the search for the means of internal motivation of training activity. At the same time not only training skills but also ways of cognitive activity should act as the content of education. The unit of the content of education is a teaching text. It is the teaching text that can initiate active motivated intellectual activity of students. But not every teaching text can act as the factor of motivation of training activity. It should be a teaching text based on a psychodactical approach which would allow to identify the types of teaching texts that create the conditions for motivating training activities at its different stages. The study showed that the texts for students of grades 5 to 9, aimed at enriching the various forms of students’ mental experience (cognitive, conceptual, metacognitive, emotional-evaluative), make it possible to motivate students’ training activities at different stages. For example, such types of texts as «text as an encoding of information», «text as motivation», «text as an assessment and choice of features of the concept», «text as establishing links between concepts», «text as a programme», «text as means of self-monitoring», «text as a choice of mode of operation», «text as a choice of cognitive position», etc. guide students in their cognitive activities at the current stage of the development of school mathematical education.

Unuchek Ekaterina Sergeyevna, Sheveleva Alla Ivanovna VERBLESS IMPERATIVE SENTENCES IN CONCEPTUAL GRAMMAR (ON THE MATERIAL OF ENGLISH-SPEAKING ADVERTISING DISCOURSE) // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2018. Issue 7 (196). P. 25-32

The paper is focused on the cognitive peculiarities of the verbless (or nominal) imperative sentences in the modern English-speaking advertising discourse. It is reported in the text that the analyzed imperative constructions are reviewed in the field of conceptual grammar which researches grammatical concepts (or cognitive images) that lie behind the linguistic signs and are reflected in grammatical forms, categories and syntactic structures. The article deals with the syntactic concepts which are represented in the language by the means of the very syntactic structures. The study is aimed at identifying and describing the mental constructs of knowledge that are verbalized in verbless one-member sentences in the English-speaking advertising slogans. They help to summarise the main idea of the advertisement to the fullest extent possible. The use of verbless constructions in the advertising texts is connected with linguistic economy and with a special effect of a nominal structures on a reader. The relevance is determined not only by the growing interest in the study of advertising discourse but by the use of the methodology of the new research paradigms. In conclusion it is noted that the factual material allowed to set up five basic syntactic concepts, verbalized in verbless one-member sentences in advertising discourse, taking into account morphological characteristic of the head element of the sentence.
