5401 | In modern society, the social value and role of special libraries that fulfill information, cultural, educational and rehabilitation functions is increasing. The library organizes, stores, and provides users with the Fund, including electronic materials, tactile-audio-visual plan, and other documents intended for the blind and visually impaired. In addition, it provides easy access to information for people with disabilities through the use of adaptive technology and heat engineering funds, provides support for vocational training, socio-cultural, recreational activities of persons with disabilities, promoting their rehabilitation and socialization through books and reading. The article makes an attempt not just to consider the activities and role of special libraries in providing people with various forms of disabilities with free and equal access to information resources and services, but also to determine the model of the development of institutions of this type. The above mentioned aspects of the mission of the special libraries are aimed at providing easy access to library information and cultural services. A model for the development of special libraries has been developed, which is aimed at improving the conditions for creating an independent life of the disabled and the disabled population of the Russian Federation through unhindered access to information and library and socio-cultural resources and services. In addition, the main goals, objectives and content of the vectors of development of these libraries are formulated, which will allow them to become a regional multifunctional cultural and educational complex for people with disabilities. 5402 | The article deals with the question of representation of the interdiscourse category in the scientific medical discourse. It provides the differentiation of the notions “intertextuality” and “interdiscursivity” and gives parameters of their differentiation. In case of intertextuality the sings are linguistic units that indicate the interaction between texts, in case of interdiscursivity the indications are the elements of conceptual and linguistic plan of the discourse. The article shows the interaction between intertextuality and interdiscursivity in the scientific medical discourse. Intertextuality depends on interdiscursivity and marks it with the help of different linguistic means. In the scientific medical discourse marked and unmarked forms represent interdiscursive connections. The article presents the examples of realization of interdiscursive connections in the scientific medical discourse. It concludes that interdiscursivity in the scientific medical discourse is a cognitive and a discursive phenomenon. The cognitive side of interdiscursivity reflects the possibility to gain and organize medical knowledge; the discursive one is connected with the extension of knowledge in the text that allows considering the acquired knowledge and experience. The category of interdiscourse is actualized by the inclusion of fragments of knowledge in this type of text that have textual and nontextual etymology and which relate to other discourses. 5403 | The creative works of the Tomsk rock leader of the late 1980s – early 1990s V. Shestakov are considered in the given article in order to describe the lingvo-cultural originality of the regional infosfer. The poet’s discourse is seen in the aspect of the reflection of Siberian punk subculture in it. Born in the years of perestroika, the Siberian punk embodied in poetic texts own tragic vision of the social reality of the USSR in transition and clearly outlined protest not only against the official ideology, but also against the absurdity of the world order as a whole. A striking example of Tomsk Siberian punk version was the creation of the group “Children of Obrub” and its leader Viktor Shestakov, in whose poetry such traits as hypertrophic nihilism, pessimism, nonconformism, and acute social orientation are embodied. These features are characteristic of Siberian punk subculture as a whole, they originally refracted in a peculiar system of symbols and images inherent idiostile of creative language personality of Tomsk rock poet. 5404 | The purpose of the article is to identify the features of scientific linguistic habitus. The author proceeds from the interpretation of science as a form of social practice and understanding of its subjective basis as a set of dispositions (scientific habitus). The linguistic habitus of science is defined as one of the sets of dispositions of the subject of scientific practice, acquired in a particular socio-historical context by taking into account the peculiarities of its carrier, and reflected the linguistic identity of a scientist to a particular tradition (educational, disciplinal, national, cultural). Responding to the question of how linguistic habitus is associated with an actual scientific practice, what specific nature it has and what the mechanisms of formation are, – the author, firstly, asserts the existence of a gap between the linguistic habitus of science and scientific practice itself. Secondly, the analysis of works of local researchers allows to refer intertextuality, expressivity and dialogueness identifying to the features of scientific linguistic habitus. Thirdly, the dynamics mechanism of scientific linguistic habitus is described on the basis of theories of P. Bourdieu and W. Labov. 5405 | The article deals with peculiarities of discursive practice of informational and media language personalities of spectators (witnesses). Spectators (witnesses) are communicated persons who deal in network according to their subjective reasons and become witnesses or participants of events, which can be the informational reason for Internet communication. This type of language personality is free in choice of style, genre, means of communication, which are defined by its causes, common level of culture (it can be different) and thesaurus. Correlation of this type of language personality with the other closed types of Internet communication are examined. Some peculiarities of media discourse of the type of informational and media language personalities subject to subset are revealed. Comments on television broadcast “Perceptibly” and media texts of blog and interview from the site of radio station “Echo of Moscow” are the material of the research. 5406 | The article deals with detection and description of linguistic and extra linguistic regularities of informational waves forming in media communication. An informational wave is interpreted as a connected with informational echo stream of media texts-reactions to one informational reason with detection of peak and recession of social interest and media citations. Establishes the connection of media waves with different types of media texts: primary, secondary and tertiary (texts of the third turn, which are an echo of primary and secondary, are dedicated to topical informational reasons). Reveals linguistic and extra linguistic factors, influencing the appearance and existence of different types of informational waves. As the linguistic factors of the emergence and development of informational waves were examined the following: 1) repeated key words and phrases, and means of their actualization (attributes and predicates, which attend the key words); 2) means of argumentation (logical, rhetorical, stylistic), which were used by the authors of primary media texts according to typical social value; 3) common citations including precedent phenomena, which connect different media texts in the network of informational waves. Extra linguistic factors, that are of great importance for informational waves formation and development, are typical of the following: topical informational reasons for society (events and personalities); realizing in media discourse strategies of provocation, conflict, advertising, connected with psychology of events perception of mass addressee and pragmatics of media communication; informational field of newsmaker and informational field of platform where communication is realized. As an empirical material were analysed primary, secondary and tertiary media texts, forming dynamics of informational waves, which is stimulated by program “Special opinion” with participation of Maxim Shevchenko as a guest and an anchorman Sergey Buntman on radio “Echo of Moscow” on 6-th of July 2017. The results are of interest for theory of speech influence, media linguistics, communicative stylistics of text. Considering the problems with graphical training and formation of graphical culture of secondary school students is timely and relevant due to reducing the number of teaching hours devoted to the study of graphic disciplines. In this regard, to search for new opportunities and develop educational-methodical support for improving the quality of graphics education of students in high school is of high interest now. The aim of this study is to identify the general level of students’ graphical culture, importance of the graphical training course in the secondary school, as well as to identify ways and means to enhance the graphic education of the students. Material and methods. Research materials, used in this study, are the data collected from the literature on graphic culture and graphical preparation of students, and education process in secondary school. In this study we used general scientific analysis methods: synthesis, comparison, surveillance and questioning, interrogating and performing graphic assignments by the students. Results and discussion. We defined the term “graphic culture” in the context of this study, determined the structural components of graphic culture, the stages of graphic education of high school students, examined the ways and means of improving the quality of graphic preparation, in particular, by studying the “Technology” course. We have provided detailed information on pedagogical and psychological counseling and the implementation of graphic assignments by students. Conclusion. We have proposed the following strategies for better accumulation of graphic knowledge and skills during secondary school studying. First, to use the structural-logical schema when studying different subjects. Second, to include the graphic disciplines to the list of complementary courses, elective courses, and as additional education of secondary school students. Third, to pay a special attention to graphic education at the classes on technology, purposefully forming students’ knowledge and skills in reading and making of drawings, sketches, diagrams, as well as of a general aesthetic perception of the objects of surrounding world. Analyzed dynamic processes in the language and style of contemporary works of epistolary journalism, such as the evolution of the epistolary genre, its transformation in the epistolary visual genre, desacralization when you get the opportunity in social networks and anonymization of self-presentation of the participants of communication, the tendency to brevity of content, lower level information, as well as extensive use of graphic symbols and abbreviations. The author developed a typology of information dissemination channels, describes their modern types that are actively used in journalistic discourse, which largely determine the socio-psychological, information and linguistic and cultural situation in society. 5416 | The paper is devoted to the analysis of the conflict and congruous discourses’ components which are relevant to the genre of intercultural political prognosis. The latter is viewed not as a form of the analytical article but as an independent genre with appropriate characteristic features. In the framework of the prognosis functioning in the media landscape the following genre forms are singled out: article-prognosis and interview-prognosis. The above-mentioned genre varieties correlate to the genre and stylistic unit of the conflict and congruous discourses’ models. Within the scope of the functional and axilological unit of the discourses under study the prognostic, evaluative and preventive functions of the prognosis are described. The speech means which mark the prognostic utterance in the text are analyzed. The definition of conflict and congruous types of discourse, of the intercultural political area are given. The author comes to the conclusion the intercultural political prognosis is more likely to be described as belonging to the conflict type of discourse as the genre under study doesn’t represent the facts but determines the tendencies and perspectives of this or that phenomenon’s development. And only time and the real development of the events can show whether the prognosis was true-to-fact or not. 5426 | The article concentrates on the research of the processes of metaphorical term formation in Chinese on the basis of the terminology system of the oil and gas industry. 5427 | At the present stage of linguistic research the keen interest of linguists in studying of semantics and functioning of separate language units in the literary text, in particular, of units of lexical-semantic group of verbs of sounding is noted. In this article the lexical-semantic group of verbs of sounding on the material of poetic texts of Robert Rozhdestvensky is considered. On the basis of the vast body of procedural units, containing in this sense “sound”, an attempt is made to reveal the features of the use and functioning of sound verbs in R. Rozhdestvensky’s poetry, since the verbs of this group are the specific markers of the original manner of writing of Robert Rozhdestvensky, his poetic handwriting. Special attention is paid to the description of a semantic class of verbs of sounding, namely group of the verbs designating the sounds of inanimate nature made by inanimate objects and the person defining the place and a role of verbs of this lexico-semantic group in the poetic texts of Robert Rozhdestvensky. The material for the observations were the poetry of Robert Rozhdestvensky, poems of the different years of the poet, collected in a three parts collection of works, including the period of the poet’s creative activity from 1951 till 1985. The novelty of the work lies in the fact that the poetic language of Robert Rozhdestvensky has not yet been the subject of a special study. And the study of the lexical case of verbs of sound semantics will allow to establish the creative originality of Robert Rozhdestvensky, a feature of the manifestation of the language identity of the poet. 5429 | The topicality of this research is determined by anthropocentrism of modern humanities knowledge, compliance with the new cognitive-discursive paradigm, insufficient knowledge on poetic worldview of O. E. Mandelstam in the course of his creativity. Conceptual analysis makes it possible to make out subtle details in the author’s works that have not been studied before. Also, the analysis allows us to describe peculiarities of the poet’s perception of the world in this or that period of his work; to reveal features and means of representation of the key concepts in his poetic worldview. The aim of the article is to examine one of the key concepts of the works of O. E. Mandelstam – the concept “music”. Based upon M. L. Gasparov’s periodization of the poet’s creative work, the poetic texts of the early period of the author’s creative work (collection “The Stone” (1913)) are analysed. The choice of this concept is determined by its significance and a major role in the poet’s life. Results. As a result of the conducted research it was revealed that verbalization of the concept of “music” in Mandelstam’s early creative work has an individual author’s character. This statement has been proved thanks to the following procedures: – comparison of the usual meaning of the lexeme “music” that is shown in dictionaries (definition and associative ones) with that of the author. As a result, it has been revealed that there is a broadening of the basic, usual meaning in the author’s worldview by means of building-up of new senses (music not only has the sound incarnation; the absence of sound or silence is also a kind of music that can only be heard by a person with a special mindset); – highlighting several directions of associating (music – silence – sleep; music – the fundamental principle; music – hope for salvation) and their detailed analysis based on the most typical poems of the early period Mandelstam’s creative work and included in the poet’s first collection of works “The Stone”. – the analysis of the lexical structure of the author’s poetic texts in which the concept is reflected (highlighting of the main means of representation of the concept “music” and the text paradigms that are part of the association area of the analysed unit of the author’s sphere of concepts). Conclusion. The conducted research is significant in terms of concretization of the author’s individual style and his poetic worldview. 5439 | The meteorological vocabulary of the Russian and Selkup dialects reflects practical aspects of the spiritual and applicative learning of the world around by these ethnoses. The atmospheric phenomena and atmospheric precipitation are named differently in the dialects depending on a way and duration of their fall, the size of drops/flakes, force and direction, presence or absence of other atmospheric phenomena. A large number of names are received by those atmospheric phenomena or weather conditions which negatively influence economic activity: long incessant rain; snow with the wind, blizzard; cold weather. The considerable part of the Russian meteorological vocabulary consists of the names of long incessant rain while the Selkup language is characterized by a large number of the names of snow and cold weather. This article deals with the French hotel discourse as one type of institutional discourse, which is a multicomponent complex organized hybrid discursive formation, born as a result of intertwining of the following discourses: legislative discourse (in the sphere of hotel business), French insurance discourse (in the sphere of hotel business), French administrative and managerial hotel (hotel proper) discourse, French scientific hotel discourse, French Academic (educational) hotel discourse, the French hotel media discourse, French hotel Internet discourse. The leading role here belongs to the hotel discourse proper in the sphere of professional communication. Whereas, within each subtype of the hotel discourse, it is possible to discover polyphonic inclusions of historical, art historical, culinary, social, tourist, design, architectural and other discourses. The French hotel discourse as a kind of institutional communication is a complex socio-cultural phenomenon that includes many life spheres of the modern society. In professional communication it is a speech implemented in institutional communication situations, i. e. it is the activity product of a group of people in the hotel service industry. 5441 | There is a speculation on the relationship of communicative competence of foster parents and socialization of children in substitute (foster) families. Comparative analysis of indicators of communicative competence of foster parents and socialization of children of preschool age allowed to determine their direct relationship. Identified in foster family high level of communication in different spheres (life, cognition, social world, inner world of a child) corresponds to the high level of socialization of preschool children enrolled in a family. The results of diagnosis of foster parents, demonstrating the restriction of communication on the topics of social orientation or the lack of it on any of the scales correspond to the results of characterizing the low level of formation of the structural components of socialization of children. Foster parents who have restricted the content of communication on the topics of social orientation, will not be able to give children complete, specific knowledge and skills of social orientation. The conducted diagnostic study confirms the crucial importance for the socialization of children in foster family communicative competence of parents. It is also an important condition for the correction of existing shortcomings of the communicative activities of children in a foster family. The obtained results of the diagnostic study suggest the need for correction of the behaviour of many parents in relation to their foster children. 5444 | In the historiography the process of formation and development of Russian national organizations, as well as their participation in the restructuring and the dismantling of the Soviet system is poorly studied. Studies show that during this period they participated in the struggle against the CPSU and leftist movements, providing support for the “right” for liberals and democrats, advocating in their programs the need to abandon the planned economy and the multinational state. The analysis of works of nationwide historiography allows us to conclude that the use of Western Siberia materials and involving them in the context of Russian national research organizations is not enough. The authors studying the problem at the national level used primarily governing body documents and materials on the activities of Russian nationalists in the European part of Russia. Researchers from Western Siberia in relation to 1980's examine the activities of “Memorial” and “Memory” to 1990's, in fragments studied activity of the Russian National Union (ROS), the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR), the Russian Public Movement (ROD), the Congress of Russian Communities (KRO) and Russian National Unity (RNE). 5445 | The object of research in this article is the means of self-presentation of the artist’s professional language personality. Professional language personality is a complex of linguistic competences which permits the effective operating with professional sub-discourses «in different situations of professional-communicative interaction» (S. V. Myskin). The material of research is interviews of different years with Rada Anchevskaya – a leader of the rock-group «Rada & Ternovnik». Rada Anchevskaya positions herself as a musical «shaman», likens a concert to a ritual, trance and likens a stage to a sacral place. In her opinion music has mystical and timeless origin. Ideally, musicians do not compose but perceive it if they have enough delicacy of feelings. Music animates the word in a song. Particularity of self-presentation of Rada Anchevskaya’s professional language personality is in plenty of factual information (names of musical instruments, albums and songs of the group «Rada & Ternovnik»; denominations of musical equipment, styles and genres; surnames of musicians, specialists in mythology, philosophy, titles of the books on different themes, names of folklore and mythological characters etc.) and in frequent use of tropes and stylistic figures (mainly the metaphors). It shows great erudition of the artist, seriousness and profundity of her works and figurative nature of her language picture of the world. The relevance of the problem is justified by the requirements of federal state educational standards for general education, the educational component of which presupposes the design of its own personal development program, taking into account the characteristics of the socio-cultural environment, the needs of the subjects of education. The article shows how to involve children in the process of creating and developing a personal development program, to form a space for self-realization of children on the basis of social design techniques. It is shown that the principle of subjectivity presupposes the organization of educational content, which would be inherently the space of children’s self-determination, would provide children with the opportunity to choose topics for projects, content and activities, roles and social positions in collective activities, forms, methods, time frame, cooperation partners , etc. The article contains approaches to developing a variable personal development program as a system of children’s projects - collective, group, individual. The content of personal development is reflected in the program in the form of thematic cycles of the project activity, which are a set of various types, subjects, duration and composition of project participants with gaming instrumentation, suggest the integration of various types of children’s activities in accordance with the main directions and values of the personal development of students in primary school. On the basis of FSES HVE (Federal State Education Standards for Higher Vocational Education) and curricula there was made a conclusion that all blocks of professional pedagogical training of physical culture teachers are insufficiently represented by remedial and preventive training. Also there are no integrated academic disciplines covering theory and methods of remedial and preventive solutions applied in sports, physical education, academic and work activity. Reasoning the content of the discipline, the author relies on the methodological approaches, principles of professional remedial and preventive training of physical culture teachers, principles of remedial and preventive training of sportsmen in the structure of athletic training, requirements of qualification profiles, systemically important characteristics of the professional activity sphere of the Departments of Physical Culture and Sports: types of educational, athletic, recreational institutions; specialization; type of professional activity of physical culture teachers. A characteristic feature of modern linguistics is the study of language as a means of not only communication, but also the expression of human mental activity, giving access to his consciousness. Cognitive linguistics postulates the idea that language forms reflect all cognitive processes, one of which is the human perception of the world. The aim of the article is to identify the reflection of the peculiarities of perception in phraseological units of the modern English language. Material and methods. The work is carried out within the framework of cognitive linguistics based on a single cognitive methodology for the study of language structures. General and particular methods of cognition are used in the research, such as inductive-deductive method, the method of quantitative calculation and classification, the method of structural and semantic analysis of phraseological units and the method of conceptual analysis. The complex use of these methods allows to look at the theoretical aspects of phraseology from the point of view of the cognitive paradigm of knowledge. Results and discussion. The concept of perception as a cognitive process is defined. It is noted that different types of perception (vision, hearing, touch, smell, taste) are indicated in the English stable expressions by the verbs of sensory perception and the names of the corresponding senses. The article describes the reflection in phraseological units of the English language of such properties of perception as integrity, objectivity, meaningfulness, dependence on the personality of the perceiver, etc. It is confirmed that the perceived is subjected to further cognitive processing, manifested both in the language as a whole and in its phraseological system, in particular. The analysis of phraseological units formed on the basis of metaphorical and / or metonymic transference confirms the associative nature of human thinking. It is proved that the necessary intermediate link between perception and phraseological meaning is human experience. The study allows to understand better the nature of the relationship between cognition and the phraseological system of language, which can serve as a prerequisite for the creation of a separate branch in the science of language – cognitive phraseology, integrating the achievements of cognitive science and phraseology. Conclusion. The presented language material can be used in the practice of teaching English, and also included in the theoretical and practical courses in general linguistics, cognitive linguistics, lexicology and phraseology of the English language. A brief history of the Italian literary tale is given, the main features of its poetics are highlighted, the most important features of its reception in Russian literature of the 19th-20th centuries are characterized. The goal - is to present a comparative analysis of the translation of the fairy tale by C. Collodi “The Adventures of Pinocchio”, made by E. Kazakevich, and its translation-alteration, carried out by A. Tolstoy under the title “The Golden Key, or The Adventures of Buratio”. Material and methods. The material of the study was the translation of C. Collodi’s fairy tale “The Adventures of Pinocchio” into Russian, made partially by A. Tolstoy (the first four chapters) and completely by E. Kazakevich. When writing the article, historical-cultural and comparative-historical methods were used, allowing to consider the original and translated text within the framework of intercultural dialogue. An important place is given to translational receptive approaches and the imagological method. Results and discussion. The story of the creation of C. Collody’s fairy tale “The Adventures of Pinocchio” and its translations into Russian at the turn of the 19th - 20th centuries is revealed. Particular attention is paid to the Berlin translation of “The Adventures of Pinocchio” (1924) into Russian, made by N. Petrovskaya and edited by A. Tolstoy. This translation is perceived as an intermediary text between the C. Collody fairy tale and A. Tolstoy’s “Golden Key”. It is proved that the action in the work of C. Collodi is built according to the laws of commedia dell’arte, and by A. Tolstoy - in accordance with the traditions of the Russian puppet theater and an adventure story. The author analyzes the initial plot underlying the Italian fairy tale and the structural elements of the fairy tale, which the Russian author focuses on. The equivalent translation by E. Kazakevich of the fairy tale by K. Collodi is compared with the translation-remake of A. Tolstoy, which is characterized by plot and compositional contraction compared to the original, narrative dynamics and stylistic laconicism. Comparison of the C. Collody fairy tale with its translation by E. Kazakevich and the remake translation by A. Tolstoy suggests that a complex semantic and aesthetic connection is established between the original, E. Kazakevich’s translation and the fairy tale “Golden Key”, a text that has come from one culture to another directly affects this latter, enriching it with new meanings, encouraging the creation of independent works based on the borrowing of images, individual plot schemes and motifs. Conclusion. Thus, one of the characteristic features of Russian-Italian literary relations in the field of children’s literature of the 19th-20th centuries was the activation of the translation process. It can be argued that the “inclusion” of Italian literature in the development of their own literature and in the spiritual life of the nation during these years in Russia was more intense than in other countries. Russian literature, perceiving Italian plots and images, gave them their own interpretation. The works of Italian writers opened up a new world and new ideas about Italy. The story of “The Adventures of Pinocchio” is unique, numerous translations became a twist in its fate, they gave the fairy tale a new life in a different language environment. Translations that exist along with the original in various cultural contexts, regardless of space and time, gave the literary fairy tale the opportunity to live an infinite number of lives. In the XIX-XX centuries the fairy-tale by K. Collodi translated into Russian by various translators entered the treasury of children’s literature and took forever its place in it, and each subsequent translation of “The Adventures of Pinocchio” only confirmed the invariable relevance and relevance of the tale to young readers. The work of C. Collodi is a thread connecting and bringing together the culture of Italy with the culture of Russia. The Italian fairy tale, thanks to the efforts of, first of all, A. Tolstoy and E. 5450 | Introduction. The linguistic research analyzes paremiological transformations in the film text and stud-ies the possibilities of their equivalent translation in the host culture. The relevance of the study is due to the wide use of proverbial units in the artistic language and namely in film discourse. Embedded in the matrix of the film dialogue, they become a basis for subsequent transformations in characters’ speech, creating a significant expressive potential because of their occasional character. Aim and objectives. Since the recognition of the original proverb in the modified version is the proof of an effective transformation, the aim of the study is to identify the linguistic means that contribute to recognition, decoding and adequate perception of the transform in the language of the host culture. Material and methods. The research is based on the proverbial transforms in the characters’ utterances of the animated film “The Lion King. Hakuna Matata”. Being of a theoretical-empirical nature, the lingua-stylistic study required the use of the structural and descriptive methods, which made it possible to pinpoint certain linguistic regularities of paremiological transformations. Results and discussion. The analyzed author’s transform is actually an epigram – an anaphoristic statement, concise and instructive. It reproduces the typical features of a proverb: didacticity, transfig-uration, implication. Renewing the traditional form of the paremiological unit, the epigram retains the semantic-stylistic identity with the precedent text. Alongside the semantic identity with the proverbial prototype, the transform also demonstrates the syntactic similarity, while seamlessly integrating into the context of the dialogue. The stated manifestations of the transformation process are explicable, since the transform is created according to proverbial algorithms, which ensure its correlation with the original proverb. The implicit mutuality predetermines and limits, to a certan extent, the variability of the lexical content and the syn-tactic pattern of a transform. This deductive reasoning can be a scientific contribution to the lingua-stylistic research in the sphere of paremiological transformation. It works efficiently in the artistic lan-guage, where, ensuring an adequate perception, the logical framework of a traditional proverb pro-duces derivatives, various and expressive in form. The lingua-stylistic research explores the game art resources of polysemy used in the transformation unit, and analyzes the exploited possibilities of translating a pun. The introduction of a modified proverbial unit — an epigram, for example – into the structure of a film dialogue is viewed as a stylistic citation technique, the functional value of which is confirmed by the appropriateness of its use in a certain situation of communication. The status of an intertextual unit, acquired by a transform in a character’s utterance, endows it with special significance and promotes the emergence of directed associations, serves as a means of strengthening argumentation and assess-ment. Conclusion. The transformation of paremias is the outcome of an artistically processed precedent text, where the structural and semantic fixity is revived by an expression, identical in content, but peculiar in form. Thus modified paremias are not perceived as lifeless folklore cliches, but real live compo-nents of speech use. Since brevity is one of the main components in the concept of «a proverb», its derivative is also char-acterized by semantic capacity and syntactic conciseness. Such models contribute to the creation of language compression required in subtitling, the most popular kind of film translation. This factor con-firms both the practical significance of the study and its relevance for the film industry.
