5307 | This article refers to the analysis of derivatives of anthroponyms that are a part of naming of writers in German newspaper and magazine texts. During the study there were found and analyzed two types of word-building of proper names: compounding and suffixation, resulting in the formation of new nouns and adjectives. The derivatives of proper nouns are being discussed in connection to the newspaper functional style with its specials goals and aims. 5309 | Introduction. The aim of the article is to identify and describe the main characteristics and variants of the linguistic and cultural transfer of nominations of social diseases. Material and methods. The study material includes nominations related to the sphere of social diseases in the amount of 700 units selected by targeted sampling from bilingual and multilingual medical dictionaries, dictionaries of foreign words, scientific and popular scientific literature and texts of social advertising. For the semantic and etymological analysis of nominations that have undergone linguistic and cultural transfer, the study used the method of comparative typology, to determine the value of the nomination of socially significant diseases the study used the method of historical interpretation. Results and discussion. In this study, linguistic and cultural transfer is considered as transferring or borrowing units of one linguistic culture to another. The transfer may affect not only similar linguistic cultures that have historically conditioned connections, but also cultures belonging to completely different types, which is quite characteristic of the sphere of social diseases. At the same time, units of one linguistic culture undergo a process of not only borrowing, but also penetrating into the host culture, go through all the stages of adaptation in it. Thus, there are 3 main characteristics of the linguistic and cultural transfer of social diseases: the extensiveness of the process of the linguistic and cultural transfer reflecting the quantitative increase in the number of loanwords in the linguistic culture; the intensity of the process of linguistic and cultural transfer, in which there is a qualitative borrowing of units of another linguistic culture; the prevalence of linguistic and cultural transfer, when loanwords are transferred in several linguistic cultures. Conclusion. The main variants of the linguistic and cultural transfer are the transition of lexical units from everyday vocabulary into terminology, eponimization, polysemy and synonymy of nominations in the sphere of social diseases. In addition, the problem of the disorder of nominations in the field of social diseases in different linguistic cultures is quite acute, which can lead to disruptions in the exchange of information at the international level and difficulties in translation. The purpose of the paper is to analyze the term “competency” in relation to primary or secondary school teachers, present the competencies model for the 21st century teacher identifying four crucial pedagogical competencies such as subject, methodology, psycho-pedagogical, communication and six key skills for any personality that determine his/her successful life as well. Aim and objectives. The aim of the paper is to clarify and formulate, in accordance with the related educational documents of Russian Federation, the composition of those competencies that determine the ability of school teachers to successfully solve not only familiar, but new professional tasks that confront them in connection with the acceleration of the pace of development of society. An attempt has been made to present the matrix of 21st century teacher competencies in relation to the skills of a modern person, ensuring successful future for him/her. Material and methods. The research materials provided are the Teacher Professional Standard establishing requirements needed at present for the personality type and professional competencies for school teachers and the Model of Teacher Certification based on the use of Unified Federal Assessment Materials. The detailed analysis of the above materials demonstrates that, on the one hand, they all declare the application of the competency-based approach in educational activities. On the other hand, the list of competencies identified in them differ in both quantity and definitions. Thus, in the education community there is still no unified understanding of competencies for school teachers. The research methods used are the analytical survey for analyzing pedagogical texts, guidelines and regulations in the field of education and the modeling method as the model of the 21st century teacher competencies has been developed. Results and discussion. The economic future of our planet requires the design and implementation of a new educational system already in the 21st century. Students’ learning outcomes in the latest educational standards are associated not only with the development of subject knowledge and skills, but also with the formation of their personality mastering them by universal methods of educational activity, which ensure the successful solution of individual cognitive and other tasks both in the learning process and in other practices. In this regard, today the demand for a highly qualified, creatively working, socially active and competitive teacher who is able to educate a socialized personality in a rapidly changing world has increased. Teachers working with students should have a set of certain professional competencies that meet urgent needs of modern life. Conclusion. Based on the results of educational environment research, the idea of 6 (six) key skills meeting the following needs of modern society has been configured: cooperation, communication, critical thinking, content, creativity, self-confidence. The range of educational services has expanded significantly; the number of educational organizations and institutions involved in this form of education has increased; a huge number of students use the Internet, gadgets and knowledge-based services. Distance education allows, if necessary, using the Internet to obtain “remote” education. This need today has become the epidemiological situation in the world with the spread of infection caused by coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (2019-nCoV). The aim of the study was to analyze and characterize the main effective forms of organizing education in higher education in the new conditions of organizing the educational process. Material and methods. The material for the study was the work of domestic and foreign researchers, considering the problems and advantages of distance education: A. A. Andreeva, I. A. Kuznetsova, A. G. Slomchinskaya, E. A. Taushkanova, J. S. Brown, Y. B. Kolikant, M. Miah & A. Omar, as well as materials obtained during practical work under the conditions of “distance” in Bunin Yelets State University. Theoretical and methodological analysis, comparison, method of pedagogical interpretation of data, generalization, concretization were used as methods in the work. The methodological basis of the study was the main modern psychological, sociological and philosophical provisions of the theory of personality and its development. Results and discussion. Distance education has a number of characteristic features: flexibility, modularity, innovative control of the quality of education, role repertoire of the teacher, economic benefit, etc., as well as specific principles: the principle of free access, the principle of distance, the principle of interactivity, the principle of identification, the principle of adequacy and expediency of using digital technologies in distance education. The introduction of distance education contributes to the emergence of new, more effective educational forms, the development of which is based on the listed characteristics. As effective forms of distance education, one can consider the development and implementation of the necessary for mastering the discipline of the list of basic and additional literature, educational and methodological sets of literature and tasks; sending educational materials to both students and teachers from students, using e-mail (in e-mail).; organization and conduct of discussions and consultations in online format using cloud platforms ZOOM, Jitsi, etc., free application WhatsApp for personal smartphones, social network VKontakte, application Telegram, etc.; development and implementation of computer databases, electronic textbooks, etc.; videoconferences similar to live TV shows with the opportunity for viewers to call the “hotline” and ask their questions, etc. Video lecture is also an effective form of distance education, allowing to reach a large number of students, activating the mental delicacy of students and motivating for independent search within the framework of the studied discipline. Conclusion. In modern conditions, the use of remote educational technologies has a large number of advantages. Since distance education has a wide range of multimedia, interactive, communicative and technical capabilities, contributes to the formation and development of ICT competence, expands the range of opportunities for the use of various information tools, it can organically weave into the full-time learning system, or become a significant alternative to traditional learning. 5317 | The article concerns the legal status of refugee children in the interwar period in the limitrophe states. It reflects material and legal status and is based on the data kept in the so called Prague Archive (the Russian Foreign Historical Archive), which is the part of the State Archive of the Russian Federation (SARF). The article includes the analytical data concerning the quantity of refugee children. The article considers not only social and legal status, but also moral condition of refugee children in the limitrophe states and includes common and particular cases of this. The research concerns also living conditions of adults and children in emigration, their complicated material and moral conditions, difficulties which children had to face (either the necessity to work at an early age and, as a result, the inability to attend school, or the employment of parents at work and the inability to educate a child, which ultimately led to disobedience and permissiveness), identifies the factors, which affected this and means of providing assistance to refugee children. The author pays attention to the difficulties, which children faced in emigration: hunger, need, mental and physical violence and denationalization. The author also points out the means of struggle against such a regime and means of providing support from the government and emigration organizations (material support, organization of various children “settlements”, summer children camps and refuges) and problems, which they faced while organizing all this work. The author also gives the comparative analyses of refugee children’s position in recipient countries and points out that children conditions were different according to the policy of the government towards Russian emigrants and economical situation inside every country. Moreover the direct dependence of legal and material status on economical situation inside the country is also pointed out in the research. Material and methods. The results of interdisciplinary studies of the problem of open education are presented. The structural-functional model of open humanitarian education is characterized. The methods of modeling, pedagogical design, focus groups, interviewing, questionnaires, conversations and various diagnostic methods (Career Anchors, Value Orientations, Meaningful Life Orientations) were used. Results and discussion. The concept of cultural and leisure competence is interpreted as an integrative quality of an individual, manifested in its positive motivational value attitude to cultural and leisure activities, in the communicative and design skills of organizing cultural and leisure practices. The structure of the working concept is presented in the form of three components: value motivational, communicative and design. The content of the three stages of cultural and leisure competence formation is described: analytical (stage of immersion and meeting with cultural and leisure reality), technological-mastering various technologies of cultural and leisure activities with a predominance of communication samples in the framework of current actions and events; transformative stage is focused on gaining experience in transforming urban cultural and leisure reality. Conclusion. The final test to identify the dynamics in the levels of formation of cultural and leisure competence of humanitarian students showed that the greatest positive changes occurred in the communicative and design components. If correct, it provides means of determining the mass of CSM along the line of sight. We study the distribution of mass in accretion disk, a natural candidate for the needed CSM. Accurate equation of state and Rosseland-mean opacities are used; several models for the latter are compared. Some comic scenes are a cascade of tricks performed in accordance with the tradition of “clownish actions”. The concept volya (will) has often become the object of the linguists’ scientific research being one of the most important notions which characterize both the Russian character and the national mentality. The purpose of the article is to explore the peculiarity of the concept volya (will) in K. D. Balmont’s (1867–1942) artistic picture of the world on the basis of the poetry collections “Burning Buildings” (1900), “Only Love” (1903). Material and methods. The research is carried out from the point of view of the communicative stylistics of the text which studies the text both as the form of communication and the individual style. While discussing the peculiarities of the concept volya (will) in K. D. Balmont’s artistic picture of the world the position of V. I. Karasik was taken into account who differentiates the figurative, notional and evaluative components in the structure of such multidimensional body as concept. Results and discussion. It was stated that the concept volya (will) is explicitly represented by such lexical items as will and free and by the lexical item captivity which foregrounds the similarly-named concept under study. The dynamics of the notional component of the concept volya (will) was revealed. Whereas in the poetry collection “Burning Buildings” (1900) the lexical unit volya (will) which nominates the similarly-named concept has the frequent meaning ‘freedom’, in the poetry collection “Only Love” (1903) the lexical unit volya (will) has the frequent meaning ‘wish/volition’. According to O. I. Mitrophanova, in A. S. Pushkin’s poetry the lexical unit volya (will) apart from other meanings is used in the meaning of ‘free state’. This fact lets us come to the conclusion about partial similarity of the notional component of the concept volya (will) in the poetry writing of A. S. Pushkin and K. D. Balmont. It was shown that the regulative units of different types (lexical regulative chains of various kinds, the regulative frame with the syntactic parallelism as an instance of repetition at the basis) play a great role in the formation of the concept volya (will). The participation of these lexical regulative units in the formation of the concepts «life» and «solitude» lets us presuppose that they realize not only regulative but also concept-building function. The connection of the concept volya (will) with the concepts «creativity» and «beauty» was mentioned. Conclusion. The analysis which was carried out lets us make a conclusion that the concept «volya» (will) bears value for K. D. 5329 | Introduction. English literary language is a historically heterogeneous structure, which includes various borrowed adstrata, more or less adapted by its system. Borrowings of Chinese origin as part of this recipient language have their own deep historical traditions and are the subject of this study. The synchronously functioning layer of borrowed Sinisms seems to be very heterogeneous in terms of assimilation, its levels and stages. Because the contacting languages – English and Chinese – are not related or even homologous, the process of assimilation by the system of elements of the Chinese adstratum is non-linear and has a number of characteristic features. This article is an attempt to fragment the process of assimilation/adaptation of Chinese borrowings in the system of English literary language by levels of assimilation and its stages. The aim of the paper is to distinguish the levels and stages of adaptation of borrowed lexical units of Chinese origin by the English literary system. Material and methods. As a general methodological foundation, a system-functional approach was used, which allows us to describe the functioning of a system or its individual part in the dynamics of linguistic evolution, an integral part of which is the phenomenon of borrowing. In the course of the study, a corpus of general and particular scientific (linguistic) methods was used, including: methods of logic (analysis, synthesis, deduction, comparison, generalization and modeling), statistics (grouping method, dialectic method), a comparative historical method with the step of internal reconstruction, component analysis method and the opposition method. Results and discussion. In linguistics, the terms “assimilation” and “adaptation” are traditionally contrasted: borrowings “assimilate” in the system of the recipient language, and the system itself adopts borrowed units. There are two approaches to the description of the process of assimilation/adaptation of these units: the first recognizes a borrowing adapted when it corresponds to the phonetic and grammatical appearance of the original words of the recipient language system. The second approach takes into account the influence of the lexical environment of the new foreign language unit. Thus, the approaches implicitly repeat the above opposition and differ in object-subjective position in relation to the borrowed unit and the system of the recipient language. Five three levels of assimilation of Chinese borrowings in the system of English literary language are distinguished: phonetic, morphological (grammatical) and spelling. The latter seems to be the most significant for the adapting Sinisms due to their highly heterogeneous graphic appearance. There are five stages in the adaptation of these units by the English literary language system: 1) the use of the unit in the form that it possesses in its donor language; 2) adaptation of borrowing to the laws to which the lexical means of the recipient language obey at the above levels; 3) loss by a unit of accompanying comments as applied to lemmatical corpuses of dictionaries and reference publications of the recipient language; 4) loss by borrowing of the previous stylistic differentiation; 5) consolidation of the borrowed lexical unit in the explanatory dictionary. Conclusion. The proposed stages and extrapolated approaches can find application in the practice of studying the Chinese adstratum in a number of other idioms that have historically been in contact with the Chinese language, as well as adstrata of a different origin in systems of unrelated languages. The empirical material of the study has high theoretical and practical value and can be used in reading university courses and teaching such disciplines as intercultural communication, history, lexicology, grammar and functional stylistics of the English language, contact and social linguistics, as well as in teaching the theory and practice of translation. The research is carried out with the communicative stylistics, oriented at the analysis of the dialogue between the author and the reader of newspaper and journalistic texts, which is possible owing to their particular organization and selection of language means. Different texts on the same topic analysis allowed defining some features of the journalists’ texts on the level of their regulatory tools, structures and regulatory strategies. The article focuses on the development of social experience in students, which is regarded as one of the goals and results of the educational process. The specificity of the Cadet schools is conditioned by the fact that the rules of life and the daily routine of the pupils are based on the All- Military Charters, are strictly regulated and are constantly monitored by the teachers and the administration of the institution. At the same time, the need to create conditions for the development of pupils as free personalities capable of self-development, to make decisions, to realize their own abilities, plans and projects is emphasized. The developed model of the education of students in the cadet school is oriented towards the formation of such social experience among the cadets. The model will ensure the formation of cadets’ experience of self-determination in choice situations, development of leadership qualities, an active creative position, readiness for self-realization in social practice. The article presents the relevance of forming a meta-subject matter that is implemented on an intersubject content in the system of basic General education and is currently necessary for society in high-tech industries of any profile. The article shows the need for a modern school teacher of mathematics, physics and technology to develop competencies related to the basics of engineering, which are mandatory for graphic culture and graphic literacy. The purpose of research is to identify intersubject lines between mathematical, natural science and technical academic disciplines that contribute to the formation of students‘ competencies related to engineering, such as graphic culture and graphic literacy. Material and methods. The article is based on the authors generalization of the experience of teaching a number of engineering courses for future technology teachers directly related to their future professional activities. The analysis of normative documents on the research problem is carried out. Results and discussion. The analysis of normative documents regulating the educational process of future teachers of technology has shown that the content of the theoretical material, as well as the practical part of such fundamental disciplines as physics and mathematics, does not take into account the applied aspects of this direction of training students of pedagogical universities. In modern conditions of the introduction of specialized engineering classes in schools, in addition to the professional competence of the teacher, the teacher of mathematical, natural science and technological cycles of disciplines must have competencies related to engineering, such as graphic culture and graphic literacy. To form competencies related to graphic literacy, the module «Graphics / Engineering design» was introduced into the process of training technology teachers within the professional cycle as a discipline of choice, which included a block of such disciplines as drawing, engineering graphics, elements of analytical geometry, computer graphics. Thus, it became possible to create inter-subject lines between the academic disciplines of mathematical, natural science and technological cycles of disciplines, which in turn will further form the meta-subject of the entire educational process of future technology teachers. Conclusion. The formed meta-subject of the educational environment for students of pedagogical University studying in the direction of training 44.03.01 Pedagogical education, directions (profiles) of mathematics, physics, technology will allow teachers to consistently form and develop spatial thinking, imagination, creative abilities, observation of students necessary in their further professional activities. Destiny is thought of as contradictory, ambivalent beginning. It is able to help or hinder. Carriers of the Polish language are ambivalent in their relation to the destiny. Presence of the destiny may either be approved or denied. Poles have different views on the nature of destiny. On the one hand, destiny is presented as unchangeable and predefined from above. On the other, there is a view that it is created during the life (existence), and, for example, a person can have a significant influence on it. The urgency of the proposed problem is to intensify the process of teaching the Korean language at school and at a university. One of the ways to solve the problem of preparing graduates for speaking in a foreign language in the Korean language is the formation of strategic speech competence among students in the process of mastering the Korean language. The content component reflects the specifics of the Korean language, namely knowledge of cultural traditions, knowledge of social situations and social functions of communication, non-verbal features of oral-speech communication in the Korean language. The pragmatic component is represented by a complex of compensatory, perceptual and discursive skills. Particular attention is paid to the definition of a “discursive skill”, a “discursive marker”. The discursive skills include 1) the ability to accurately formulate your thoughts, 2) the ability to accurately use a variety of language tools, 3) the ability to defend your point of view, 4) the ability to introduce yourself; 5) the ability to put forth possible variants “For” and “Against”; 6) the ability to conclude, 7) the ability to end the conversation. The discursive markers include introductory sentences, prepositional constructions, introductory words, particles, functioning primarily in oral speech and orienting it on the listener. Discursive markers in Korean are distinguished. Methodical techniques aimed at forming strategic speech competence and teaching oral-speech communication in the Korean language are proposed. 5346 | The modern specificity of the sports game “volleyball” is considered, which is based on the technical and tactical abilities of players used by them in the high-speed game, where it is necessary to solve quickly technical and tactical tasks. All this is directly connected with a game environment in which fight on the volleyball court is conducted. In the game of volleyball, each player has to monitor a game situation, not allow the opponent to impose his game plan, otherwise there will be a game defeat. In higher educational organizations, volleyball is included in the work program “Elective disciplines in physical culture and sports”, so the trainees study the features of this game with interest, not only in training classes, but also in training extra-curricular activities. Therefore, playing volleyball, students practice skills to quickly respond to changing situations, make the right decisions in various circumstances, choose the most appropriate actions. In this regard, as practice shows, interest in training classes in volleyball has increased, it also has defined the relevance of our pedagogical research, in selection of the most effective complexes of special exercises developing speed of reaction to a moving object among students engaged in the volleyball sports section. 5347 | The article examines the influence of the city newspaper’s discourse on the system of the evaluative means having the specificity determined by the memorial and local historical function of the regional edition. Semantic and stylistic analysis of the materials of the newspaper “Kuznetskiy rabochiy” (Novokuznetsk) linked to the local historical dominant “F. M. Dostoevsky in Kuznetsk” shows that the meliorative contexts prevail. Due to the semantic and stylistic analysis of the evaluative contexts participating in the representation of the examined local historical dominant, it is possible to identify two connected components of the value content: the Kuznetsk events in the writer’s life as the cultural heritage of the city and F. M. Dostoevsky’s contribution to the culture. The first component is more concretized, while the second component, which is the base of the first one from the logical point of view, is presented by the repeated periphrases and appendices characterizing F. M. Dostoevsky as an artist in the general meliorative (normative) aspect. The materials not linked to the local historical dominant “F. M. Dostoevsky in Kuznetsk” present the great writer’s contribution to the Russian and world culture in a more multidimensional way. The memorial and local historical function of the regional edition determines, primarily, the ethical evaluation actualization; however, it interacts with other types of the evaluation as well – teleological, normative, and aesthetic ones. During the realization of such topics as the importance of F. M. Dostoevsky’s stay for Kuznetsk, the preservation of the memory of this stay, the value of the contact with the spiritual space of the memory, the emotional and expressive means are constantly used in the evaluative contexts. The emotional and expressive intensity of the contexts increases together with the role of the ethical evaluation. In the examined newspaper materials, the topic of the preservation of cultural memory is the central one among the topics representing the hyper-topic of Dostoevsky’s stay in Kuznetsk as the cultural heritage of the city. Particularly, it is presented not only by the meliorative pole but also by the pejorative one actualizing the topic of cultural oblivion. Pejorative contexts are not isolated; they are used in correlation with the meliorative ones, which, due to such means as contrast, increases the pragmatic effect. Prevailing of the meliorative contexts in the representation of the local historical dominant “F. M. Dostoevsky in Kuznetsk” confirms the sustainable ideals of the regional community and the stable range of the materially embodied values discussed in the city newspaper.
