Pak Leonid Evgenyevich SPEECH GENRES SPECIFICITY OF AMERICAN AND RUSSIAN SPORTS COMMENTARIES // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 6 (183). P. 117-122

The article gives the results of comparison of illocutionary speech acts in sports commentaries in the USA and Russia under linguocultural paradigm. Sports commentary has made the system of its genres complicated over years. Description of discursive personality in the framework of sports commentary requires knowledge of basic speech genres and speech acts. We can see the tendency of individualization in sports commentary because it incorporates certain emotionally-estimated units (lexical and grammatical). Thus the analysis of speech genres specificity in sport commentary is of particular interest to scholars. Speech genres structure the communicative space of native speakers. Sports commentators, as bearers of different languages and cultures prefer different speech genres. Study of this specificity is of the interest of both foreign and domestic linguists. This is the first comparative analysis of the system of speech genres of sports commentators, as bearers of different cultures. That determines the scientific novelty of this study. Sports commentaries in artistic gymnastics (Russian and English) are the material of this study. The article describes the results of the analysis of illocutionary speech acts in sports commentary that determines the nature of functioning of the language personality.

Tal’tsev Aleksandr Nikolaevich LABOR MOBILIZATION IN THE EVERYDAY LIFE OF STAVROPOL RESIDENTS DURING THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2018. Issue 5 (194). P. 157-165

Everyday life of wartime, or military daily life is one of the new research fields of modern historical science. The study of the events of the war “from the trench”, from the position of the combatant, or – through the eyes of a resident of the rear, who finds himself in harsh conditions of survival – helps to reconstruct the everyday labor and leisure practices, the behavioral motives of people, to more fully and deeper explore the reflection of war in the life of the population, and a separate region. The study of published and unpublished archival documents, including memoirs, letters from the inhabitants of Stavropol Territory during the Great Patriotic War, make it possible to present the scope and scale of such a phenomenon as labor mobilization. The population of the province, as well as the whole country, from the first days of the war was involved in the fulfillment of labor obligations – the construction of defense facilities, fortifications, agricultural work. Heavy physical labor, according to the memories of the participants, was beyond the strength of many women, children, adolescents. For the mobilized there were no life and nutritive conditions created, insanitary conditions prevailed. The schoolchildren, who were called to the factory schools, did not have enough clothes and shoes, poor nutrition was combined with hard work instead of training. Numerous “letters to the authorities” of wartime, including from the front line, are filled with pain and despair about the plight of their families, mobilized for work and being at the limit of survival. In general, labor mobilization, accumulating for the needs of defense the free work of a huge number of people, radically changed the daily life of the population. The hardest, in harsh conditions, shock work became the norm of life, allowing, in the end, to win the war.

Keywords: labor mobilization, the Great Patriotic War, the inhabitants of the rear, everyday life, the people of Stavropol

Kolomiyets T. I. Globalization and Regionalization as Trends of Modern World Development // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2003. Issue 5 (37). P. 25-27

The article concludes that the factor of globaliza¬tion has an important meaning in the disclosure of cau¬ses and models of reginalization. It shows that the trend of globalization intensifies the transfer to the acknow¬ledgment of the principle of people sovereignity and security of nation and a citizen. States are trying to compensate negative conse¬quences of national economics openness and forming internal regional education. In western countries the search of combined solution of problems and forma¬tion of institutes that are adequate to the tendencies of globalization and regionalization is carried out. Regio¬nalism becomes a motive force in power institute ref¬ormation and the basic factor of federalization. For Rus¬sia where real federalism has not been formed yet, it is very important not to allow the transfer of regionaliza¬tion into regionalism that causes the phenomenon of separatism. The role of local government should be increased and equal social guarantees for people should be created.
