Maksimova Sofya Aleksandrovna NEWS MEME AS INTERNET GENRE // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2019. Issue 5 (202). P. 95-101

Introduction. Virtual discourse is in constant motion and development, the discursive parameters have undergone significant changes over the past 10 years. The composition of internet genres is also unstable: the functions of genres change, the process of integration of different genres takes place, as well as differentiation – it is when we highlight many subtypes in the limits of one genre. In this article we are going to explore the genre of news meme, which is one of the varieties of Internet memes. The aim of this article is to describe the specifics of news meme as an Internet genre in comparison to the news genre. Materials and methods. During the analysis of material we used general scientific and proper linguistic methods of research, such as: descriptive method, comparative method, methods of interpretation and classification, method of continuous and differentiated sampling. The material for the study was the publications posted on the social network VKontakte (61 news memes). Results and discussion. The news meme was analyzed according to the model proposed by T. V. Shmeleva, a comparative analysis was conducted with the “news” genre: 1. The communicative aim of news meme is, as a rule, of negative kind, while the news genre is usually of informative kind. 2. The author of the news is a journalist and a professional. The author of the news meme is stylized as an ordinary person and a public opinion holder. There is no distance between the author of the news meme and the addressee. 3. The factor of the past for news is an event, which we have to report to the addressee. For a meme, the factor of the past is the text of the news. 4. The factor of the future is an optional element for news. News is an all-sufficient text. For a news meme, the future factor is a required element, presented in the form of comments. 5. Dictum for news genre is an event which happened in real world. Dictum for a news meme is social, economic and other problems associated with this event. As a rule, this connection is formal. 6. Formal organization. The structure of news meme has four parts: announcement of main news, link to the source, illustration and comments. The carnival beginning of the meme is realized in the illustration, where in an unexpected way it reveals what was stated in the announcement. Conclusion. After systemazing and generalizing the described parameters we can give the definition to the genre. News meme is a secondary Internet genre, which we base on the news text and which raises the acute social, political, ethical problems in an ironical form and which we stylize to the opinion of the masses of people.

The relevance of the theme is due to the increasing internationalization and academic mobility, on the one hand and the need to solve the problems of adaptation of foreign students in the new intercultural academic environment, on the other hand. At the same time, the provisions of the «National Doctrine of Education in the Russian Federation» emphasize the intensity of the international activities of the country’s leading universities. It includes the project of increasing the international competitiveness of the best Russian universities among the world’s leading research and education centers «5-100-2020» and its main aims. Consequently, optimizing these processes, it is necessary to take into account the individual features of adaptation of students for their successful integration in the intercultural environment. However, this aspect is not sufficiently studied in the current research. Therefore, it is necessary to study the specific problems of intercultural adaptation and to develop proposals for its implementation. The purpose of the given article is to present results of the study at the Ural Federal University to specify certain academic migration problems of adaptation. Nowadays it is difficult to overestimate the importance of the English language for the students of nonlinguistic specialties because only if they know English they can communicate with foreign colleagues and share their best practice. The authors stress that it is necessary to use discursive analysis while teaching students of nonlinguistic specialties because it helps to receive the information about nonlinguistic factors. Moreover, teachers have to apply individual and differentiated approach because students of nonlinguistic specialties usually have different level of knowledge. And in this case the entry test can be useful but it is important to remember that entry test is not the best means of estimating students’ English level and it has some deficiencies. Mastepak Tatyana Gennadyevna THE MOTIF OF MOVEMENT AND SEMANTICS OF CULTURAL AND GEOGRAPHICAL TOPOS IN V. NABOKOV’S NOVEL “DESPAIR” // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2018. Issue 6 (195). P. 112-119

The article gives an analysis of the poetic structure of space in Nabokov’s novel “Despair”. Close attention is paid to the motif of homelessness, not related to the external circumstances of life (the main character in the novel, Herman has an apartment), but to his inner sense about the meaning of existence. This key feature of the character determines his position – in motion. The temporary destinations of the character (the semantics of temporality, non-permanence: hotels, taverns, post offices), and the direction of Herman’s travel (closer to Russia or South-West Europe) are also important in understanding the concept of the novel. The spatial choice reflects also the inner turmoil of the character, his national belonging to two cultures (Russian and German). The character’s choices fluctuate, and this is reflected in his movements: he approaches Russia, then moves away. It is important to note that the specificity of the novel’s poetics of space is revealed in the comparison of forced and desired, real and imaginary moves of the character. Key scenes of the story are correlated with different countries: Herman discovers his twin in the Czech Republic, he commits murder in Germany, writes the text about the idea of murder and substitution (designed to prove his genius) in France, but he plans to transfer the manuscript to writer-emigrant from Russia and dreams that his novel will be known to carriers of Russian culture, including those in Soviet Russia. Tyryshkina Kseniya Valeryevna ATTITUDES TO LOVE AS A METHOD OF CHARACTERISTICS OF CHARACTERS IN THE STORY OF G. SHCHERBAKOVA «YOU WOULD NOT EVEN DREAM» // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2018. Issue 2 (191). P. 211-217

The theme of love is analyzed in G. Shcherbakova’s school narrative «You would not even dream». The peculiarity of the author’s interpretation of love is revealed through the analysis of the organization of the plot, the system and images of characters, narration, allusions. The analysis of the personnosphere of the story allowed to distinguish the types of characters, depending on their understanding and attitude to love: pragmatists and romantics who sacrifice and selfishly demand reciprocity; disappointed and believing in the life-giving power of love. The semantics of love is revealed in character dialogs and includes such meanings as a disease that causes pain, destroying belief in reciprocity and into yourself, the fire that attracts and destroys people (Kostya, Zoya); epidemic / madness / natural disaster, the triumph of the natural-biological over the social (the school director), the manifestation of the socio-biological needs of people not to be lonely (Vera, Misha); exalted feeling, gift, meaning of existence (Tatiana, Romka, Julia). The plot lines of the characters demonstrate that the choice of the model of relationships and understanding of love is due to various factors, among which the presence / absence of experience (positive or traumatic), personal values. An essential role in revealing the theme of love is played by references to classical world literature: to William Shakespeare’s play «Romeo and Juliet», to Pushkin’s novel «Eugene Onegin» and Leo Tolstoy’s «Anna Karenina», and to Chekhov’s works. Correlating yourself or others with the characters of literature, and your life - with the plots of works becomes a way of self-reflection and self-determination. G. Shcherbakova avoids edification, but invites readers to dialogue and self-determination. But, ultimately, as the most appropriate to the concept of happiness described by mutual love, which is not reduced to sexual attraction and social need in the family. The author proves the unproductiveness of both pragmatic and idealistic understanding of love: the first deprives the life of the spiritual dimension, the second - does not allow reconciling dreams with reality, realizing themselves. Finally, G. Shcherbakova, making the final of the story open (we do not know whether the hero survived or not), rejects the identification of love and life peculiar to people at a young age (as modern Romeo and Juliet show). To find mutual love is a great success, but to keep it is everyday work, a greater feat than death (like Shakespearian lovers or Anna Karenina).

Graduates of technical universities should be able to become staff members of organizations working together as a system, where specialization matters, but where the ability to communicate across professional and national “discourses” is ever more important to professionals of all types. The importance of good communication skills has been emphasized in survey by survey; they show that technical skills can be unnoticed or not used if engineers cannot convince their peers, co-workers, superiors, or clients. Now it is time for Russian universities to reconsider the correlation of disciplines in favour of programmes and courses ensuring the development of future engineers’ intercultural competence and technical communication skills.

We studied the influence of UV radiations of low intensity on the morphogenesis, accumulation of photosynthetic pigments and synthesis of ascorbic acid Arabidopsis thaliana (L.) Heynh. Wild type Ler and a mutant hy4, having infringement in synthesis cry1. Light adaptation of plants to their irradiation UV light is shown at the initial stage of the ontogenesis through synthesis and accumulation of ascorbic acid, change of dynamics of level of photosynthetic pigments. It is reflected in inhibition reactions of grows, in the slowed down development of reproductive bodies of plants and in lengthening of terms of vegetation. Among plants Ler these processes lead to decrease in real seed efficiency, among plants hy4, having infringements in synthesis cry1, changes is not revealed. The assumption is made, that the basic role in the course of adaptation to action of UV radiation of low intensity carry out not only photosynthetic pigments, but photoregulation pigments.
