The Study of the Social Activity of Students of Teachers Training Institute: Theory and Practice. // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2008. Issue 2 (76). P. 15-19

The present article deals with correlation of the concepts «public activity» and «social activity». The main attention is paid to the essence and the structure of the concept «social activity». The results of the stating experiment are analyzed and the ways of the forming of the social activity of teachers training institute students are offered.

The article is devoted to the problem of educational space organization within the framework of competence approach in education. The characteristics of educational space are suggested. The emphasis is made on the technology of such space creation in a higher educational institution.
