1 | Teaching programming in secondary comprehensive school issues that cause the lowering of students’ knowledge level are considered. The authors suggest a method to raise the quality of learning the material. The method is based on the use of computer tutors in classroom instruction, namely web-visualizers (which are web applications demonstrating the way algorithms work). Thematic filling of the algorithmization and programming line is examined; a set of web- visualizers which meets the requirements of the basic level of secondary education is formed; a set of web visualizers for computer science as a profile course aimed at advanced study of the theory and practice of programming is proposed.
