PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF A HIGHER TECHNICAL EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION GRADUATE SPECIALISING IN PHYSICS // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2012. Issue 5 (120). P. 82-86

The article regards issues of building competences of a specialist with higher technical education majoring in physics (professional field 011200 “Physics”, specialisation “Condensed state physics”). Problems of forming competences and their solutions are considered for all stages of training for the bachelor’s and master’s degrees. The work presents examples of structuring lecture material and the scheme of models succession and links between separate units within the course of physics, as well as some ideas for assessing the university graduates’ competences.

There is traced the connection of physics with disciplines in the technical directions, the need for the introduction of new courses on the innovation directions of scientific studies. It is indicated that the weak training of school students in physics and mathematics does not make it possible to master the learning material of university courses. For formation of the competences of the graduates of technical institute of higher education in accordance with the needs of the labor market for technical universities it is necessary to attract different methods to raise the level of knowledge on these disciplines.
