The paper is devoted to elaborating an inventory of methods for the source study and analysis of periodicals, covering an ethnopolitical conflict, as a historical source. The current study focuses on the Nagorny Karabakh Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict of the perestroika period. The paper reveals the stages and the methods of a historical study that involves periodicals as a major set of sources on the Nagorny Karabakh conflict.
