The article contains analysis of the problem “positioning of Tomsk as one of the most important Innovative center in Siberia, which has high scientific, educational potential and creativity”. The studies of publications and audiovisual mass media were performed to recognize themes in the content which are connected with innovative potential. Also some official social sites were monitored in order to find mentions about Tomsk as a center of innovations and technologies.

REGIONAL DISCOURSE OF MODERNIZATION AND INNOVATION: FROM IMAGE OF EXTRACTING TERRITORY TO INNOVATIVE IMAGE OF THE REGIONAL CENTRE // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2015. Issue 11 (164). P. 123-130

The article contains analysis of the problem of broadcasting in both traditional and new media of the image of “Innovative Tomsk” substantial aspects, themes and sources of regional discourse of modernization, innovation and new industrialization as an example of the Tomsk region, as one of the most important innovation centers in Siberia with a high scientific, educational and creative potential. The authors carried out an information audit of regional print and audiovisual media, regional thematic portals and sites, as well as Tomsk groups and accounts in social networks for the presence in their content and broadcast of the stories with an emphasis on the innovative development of the city of Tomsk and the region.

NEOINDUSTRIAL MODERNIZATION IN RUSSIA: FACTORS AND CONDITIONS // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2015. Issue 11 (164). P. 135-137

The article presents the analysis of the major factors and conditions providing the neoindustrial growth of economy in Russia. The authors conclude that the main factor influencing neoindustrialization is the inclusion of Russia in the global trends described on the basis of the concept “technoscience”. The condition for neoindustrialization serves the expansion of borders of network community the elements of which are already available in Russia and in its regions and within which economical and strictly scientific activity will be able to come to full agreement.

EDUCATIONAL EXPORT IN HIGHER EDUCATION SYSTEM: CASE OF TOMSK UNIVERSITIES // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2018. Issue 7 (196). P. 142-148

The article considers the tasks and targets of the priority project “Development of the export potential of the Russian education system”. It analyzes the characteristics of the dynamics and world trends of higher education, the background and features of educational export in the USSR. Presents statistical data and a description of the most important statistical parameters of the development of educational exports in the new Russia. Describes features of attracting foreign students to Tomsk universities, educational and marketing tools that are used. Reveals the structural and organizational and social problems of adaptation of foreign students, analyses the proposed package of measures aimed at supporting and strengthening the streams of export of education to the system of higher education in Russia. Analyses positive experience of adaptation of foreign students in the large universities of Tomsk. It was concluded that the prospects for the development of Russian educational exports are high, the market itself is quite capacious, especially on the basis of the relatively low costs of foreign students for higher education in Russia; Siberia, despite its remoteness from the capitals, harsh climatic conditions and fame, remains one of the most attractive regions for foreign education, especially from Central and Southeast Asia.

Digital literacy of schoolchildren: profiles and evolution // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2023. Issue 2 (226). P. 101-110

The article points to the research deficit in the content decomposition of the heterogeneous structure of schoolchildren’s digital literacy profiles and a specific analysis of the process of schoolchildren’s digital literacy formation in an ecosystem educational perspective. In the described study of digital literacy of schoolchildren, the use of qualitative methods prevailed: a number of interviews were conducted with students from the Tomsk region of secondary and high school. The interviews were supplemented by a pilot standardized survey of respondents from grades 2 to 11 and a mirror assessment of the digital literacy of schoolchildren by expert teachers. The study showed that, in addition to school, digital literacy training is implemented within the framework of an informal digital educational ecosystem, which includes communication and gaming practices in social networks, various online platforms and blogs, and information exchange with peers. “Academic” digital literacy is brought up at school and includes searching for information on the Internet and fact-checking, creating presentations, using spreadsheet editors, web-conferencing services for distance learning; extracurricular activities contribute to the development of communicative, content-generating and, in part, security-related components of digital literacy (communication in social networks, blogging, anti-hacking practices and recognition of fake accounts, participation in streams and gaming). In the process of the evolution of digital literacy of schoolchildren, three key stages are distinguished, characterized by the predominance of various profiles of digital literacy, depending on priority tasks. The study allows us to state a clear imbalance in the development of key digital competencies of schoolchildren: while possessing the skills to use general user digital services to solve everyday problems and ensure cybersecurity, students show low skills in searching and critically evaluating information, creating new digital products/content, active broadcasting and self-presentation in within network communication. The role of general education institutions in the formation of digital literacy, in comparison with informal distribution channels, is contradictory, various competencies develop unevenly in it, and the learning practices themselves are often clearly delayed.

Socio-professional Challenges and Methodological Aspects of AI Implementation in the School Educational Environment // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2025. Issue 5 (241). P. 110-121

The article states that the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into school education faces a contradiction between its transformative potential and social barriers linked to digital competence, the professional identity of teachers, and ethical risks. Despite growing interest in AI tools, their implementation is constrained by the inertia of traditional pedagogical practices and the disconnect between technological determinism and the social construction of innovation. The study aims to identify patterns in the perception of AI by students and teachers, assess the impact of digital literacy, age, and professional experience on readiness to adopt AI technologies. The empirical basis includes data from online surveys of 169 9th–11th grade students and 40 teachers from schools in the Tomsk region. The theoretical framework integrates and evaluates the SCOT, SAMR, TPACK, and Human-AI Collaboration Theory models to analyze social and technological factors influencing AI adoption. Survey results indicate that 57 % of students support AI education, while 27.2 % exhibit technophobia, associated with low algorithmic literacy and fears of AI errors. Among teachers, 65% use digital technologies, but only 37 % employ AI daily. Key risks identified by respondents include the diminishing role of teachers (38.5%), privacy threats (75 % of girls), and passive learning due to automation (33.7 %). Correlations were found between teachers’ age (younger educators more enthusiastically adopt AI), students’ technical orientation (STEM interests enhance AI acceptance), and school digitalization levels. The study confirms that successful AI integration requires a combination of technological infrastructure, ethical standards, and targeted professional development programs. Recommendations include phased AI adoption (from automation to personalization), project-based formats for technically oriented students, and dialogue among all educational stakeholders. The findings contribute to developing strategies for harmonizing AI solutions while preserving human agency in pedagogy.
