THE IMAGE OF THE “NEW” WOMAN IN THE NOVEL “GODWI” BY CLEMENS BRENTANO // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2013. Issue 2 (130). P. 96-100

The article covers the poetics of female images in the novel “Godwi” by Clemens Brentano and the different tragic fates of the characters. Anthropocentrism and the representation of the inner world of characters are also important for the novel. The characters of lady Hodefield, countess von G. and Violetta presented in the novel show type of the free, “new” woman, but in different variations. The image of Violetta who has been for Godvi some kind of unattainable “blue flower” is the closest to the author.
