Social Conditions Development in the Areas of Oil-Gas Resources Assimilation of Large Regions // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2005. Issue 5 (49). P. 42-47

Ethnic-social problems on opening up of oil and gas resources in large-scale regions are considered in Western Siberia. The above stated problems are connected with the evolution of indigenous peoples of the North living in this territory. The analysis of this evolution has been made. The work adduces recommendations on setting up "social enterprises" to which deposits at a loss are being handed over. Another problem relating to different social standard of life between the inhabitants of oil and gas regions and adjoining territories are considered. Some measures are proposed to increase social protection of the population.
