| 1 | This scientific article is devoted to a comprehensive analysis of modern formats for teaching foreign languages and describes the practical experience of integrating the EnglishProUni educational platform into the educational process. This platform was developed by Tomsk State University. In the context of the rapid transformation of modern education and the automation of many professions, students today expect not only the assimilation of new knowledge but also an understanding of how to apply it effectively in the context of personal and professional development. Therefore, effective learning within a hybrid model requires a rethinking of traditional methods and technologies, as well as the active involvement of students in every educational case. The article details modern methods for teaching foreign languages, including audio-linguistic, audiovisual, communicative, and lexical approaches, as well as innovative formats such as inverted learning and the use of authentic materials. Particular attention is paid to the integration of digital technologies and online platforms that create an interactive and adaptive learning environment, contributing to student independence and motivation. The EnglishProUni platform implements an audio-linguistic approach using information modules and training exercises, allowing for effective combination of classroom activities with independent work. Furthermore, the article analyzes modern trends in learning, including the use of artificial intelligence to personalize the educational process, the “study buddy” format (training pairs), and the capabilities of online platforms to increase engagement and effectiveness in language acquisition. A comparative analysis of traditional and hybrid learning models is presented, identifying the advantages and challenges of introducing innovative technologies into the educational process. The study demonstrates that using the EnglishProUni platform contributes to developing practical communication skills and meets the modern requirements of both the labor market and educational standards. This opens up new possibilities for teaching foreign languages in universities.
