1 | Autopoiesis of Thought // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2008. Issue 1 (75). P. 46-55 Prospects of application of the nonlinear dynamical approach to the understanding of consciousness and its cognitive functions are under discussion in the article. A whole number of notions of nonlinear dynamics are involved in the epistemological analysis, such as the fast hyperbolic, avalanche-like growth, multitude of alternative paths of development, change of a tempo of development, cycles of activity, thresholds of excitement, heightened sensibility in states of instability or an ability for growth of small disturbances into macrostructures, cascades of bifurcations, phase transitions, poising at the edge of chaos. It is shown that consciousness is emergent, holistic, embodied, situated, and enactive by its nature. 2 | Some peculiarities of transdisciplinarity, its differences from interdisciplinarity and multidisciplinarity, are under consideration in the article. The theory of complexity (synergetics), futures studies and cognitive science are regarded as intensively developing fields of modern transdisciplinary researches. It is shown that transdisciplinary research will, by all appearances, define the character of science in the medium-term future. 3 | The article deals with the phenomenon of communication as a manifestation of complexity of interacting creatures. Communication is considered not as a privilege of a human being; it is shown that it is in the root of the world of living nature, it has evolutionary origins. The communicative complexity is exposed by such concepts as flexibility, constructing, intersubjectivity, participatory sense-making, empathy, synergy, mutual incorporation and co-emergence of creatures, which enter the process of communication. Understanding of communication from the viewpoint of the conception of enactivism allows disclosing some substantial aspects of the constructivist character of communicative interaction.
