AGE AND GENDER SPECIALTIES OF STRESS-COPING BEHAVIOR BY THE EXAMPLE OF RUSSIAN POPULATION. PART I // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2009. Issue 6 (84). P. 86-90

This article presents the review of contemporary theoretical submission and ways to researching of coping behavior. Basic functions, structure and types of coping are described, the most adaptive and desadaptive coping strategies are pointed. Foreign methods of coping behavior research are presented. In the end of article the author begins to introduce the reader with the results of wide domestic research of coping behavior repertory in sample, included 1627 Russians. Research was led in frames of adaptation and standardization of R. Lazarus original methodic.

This article presents the results of empiric research of coping behavior of men and women of different age groups. Specialties of coping with stress of people on different stage of age development are analyzed there. It shows that coping- behavior is not a permanent quantity, but it changes on different levels of life track. Style of coping form actively in youthful period and widens during the aging. Ability to anticipation of problems, adequacy of esteems, observing relation to life appears the model of «energy economy» forms in coping with stress

The question of the cognitive deficits in schizophrenia was considered as a third group of symptoms, different approaches to the study of national and international scientists, medical psychologists were examined in regard to neurocognitive deficits, there were discussed attempts to define the differential criteria in the evaluation of cognitive deficits in various neuropsychiatric disorders, there were noted no coherent thesaurus in the description of the phenomenon of national medical psychologists and psychiatrists.
