The Main Research Paradigms in the Sphere of Communication: Social-Philosophic Aspect. // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2006. Issue 7 (58). P. 106-117

The purpose of the publication: the review analysis of the works of Russian authors for the last ten years from the point of view of typology (classification) of the research paradigms, existing in social communications. This kind of analysis promotes making different connections between paradigms, their mutual enrichment, beginning of “synthetic” directions in communication research and finding out new, earlier not used resources in studying of the given phenomenon and its derivatives. It is recommended as a basis for making a variant of essay for exam of “Philosophy and history of science”: history of science “Theory of communication”.

The present article is based on the materials of PR-education committee report “Port of Entry”. British-American origin of PR, tendency towards globalization and fusion in educational sphere, appearance of PR-specialty almost in 200 universities of Russia make it important to introduce the basic issues of the report to the native lecturers. This article reproduces the opinion of American colleagues on PR-education in the USA at the end of the 20th Century and on it’s development in the 21st Century
