SYMMETRY AND ASYMMETRY OF SPEECH ACTS IN TRANSLATION OF JURIDICAL TEXTS // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2014. Issue 4 (145). P. 101-105

The article is devoted to the perspectives for the application of speech act theory in the sphere of translation studies. The material of analysis comprises the authentic juridical texts and their Russian translations. The equivalent translation of the juridical texts is based upon the principle which presupposes saving the illocutionary force of the original speech act. The illocutionary force is treated as the legal force of a document, producing the the equivalent target perlocutionary effect both on the primary text recipient and on the secondary text recipient (who is not a native speaker).
