Formation of the Social and Psychological Portrait of a Modern Young Woman During the Reproductive Activity Period // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2002. Issue 3 (31). P. 25-37

The article presents results of the complex research of the modern conditions of socialization, formation of reproductive behaviour, personal peculiarities and psychic sphere state of women belonging to the optimal reproductive age group. 208 women aged between 18 and 35, among them 158 in the state of pregnancy, took part in the survey and psycho-diagnostic investigations. Out of the total number 100 women planned to give birth to a child and 58 planned to have a therapeutic abortion. It was established that the social status characteristics and the parent family composition allowed to prognosticate the character of interpersonal relations within a young woman's family, her personality state, the reproductive activity level and the so-called «corridor of opportunities* for professional seif-realization. The application of MMPI and other test and non-test psycho-diagnostic methods showed the peculiarities of formation of a number of personal characteristics and the structure of emotional relations as refers to women affected by desired pregnancy.

During the last ten years the development of demographic processes in Russia have been characterized by such tendencies as wide spreading of sexually transmitted diseases among teenagers, increasing adolescent pregnancy, out-of-wedlock chiidbirths and abortions. In this connection the investigation of the psychological mechanisms of adolescent reproductive behavior formation is actual and timely Present-day research methods, such as questionnaires and surveys, need to be reviewed. The obtained data will help in identifying directions of preventive and rehabilitative measures on the state level. In this article the importance of developing a genderrearing educational program for adolescents with the regard for ethnocultural traditions of our society is emphasized and possible trends of further investigation are marked.

In article is discussed very actual at present problem of the reproductive behaviour among the modern russian women. They are considered its different forms, which splitting into two categories conditionally: with set on conservation of pregnancy and on its aborting. It is discussed role chosen by empirical study social-demographic and emotional factors, influencing on shaping various reproductive sets of pregnants. The data of the study are interpreted by comparing with control group of non-pregnants.
