17 | Developing the methodology adapted for studying museum audience is quite a vital issue for the progress of museology in modern Russia. 19 | The article is relevant for planning the Museum of science and technology in Tomsk. It is being created by Tomsk scientific community – higher education institutions, academic institutes, research-and-production enterprises and the museum staff. The existing in Russia network of museums of the space profile is characterized by the insufficiency of authentic samples of space technology, low visitors' activity, lack of an interactive space. This article proposes a new classification of museums of the space profile in Russia, based on the criteria of historicism, objectivity and memoriality: 1) astronautics Museum; 2 museums of the special space objects, such as space launch sites and courts of space communications; 3) museums of space industry enterprises; 4) museums of higher education institutions conducting space scientific research and training of future cosmonauts; 5) memorial museums. 21 | The article is devoted to the analysis of Biographical essays, presented in the Book of memory of students, teachers and employees of Tomsk State Pedagogical University-participants of the great patriotic war (1941–1945). Containing the first volume of 450 historical biographies constitute a significant database to store personal information, and for the reconstruction of the social group of students of the Siberian Pedagogical University. Students TGPI in 1930–1950 (on the example of the great patriotic war) was a social group characterized by the following features: 1) proportion of natives of the European part of the USSR, with the predominance of the Siberian contingent; 2) great predominance of peasant component in the social structure of students; 3) in the national composition of the student body was dominated by the Russians; 4) average age of students for admission to the University was 24 years; 5) 40% of the students have teaching experience; 6) mixed structure of preliminary education; 7) proportion of invalids of the great patriotic war; 8) influence of psychological factors on learning motivation. Memory book as a database has a large research capacity for reconstruction of individual, group, institution of higher learning, the Russian system of education, the history of intellectuals. 22 | The article is devoted to the analysis of the experience of the cultural project “Preservation of architectural gene pool of Siberia: Tomsk directory of platbands (Tatarskaya Sloboda)” in September-November of 2015. The article reflects the following aspects of project activities: organizational, teamwork, research, as well as testing of full-scale survey method of 223 wooden architectural objects. The results of the project were the following: creation of Internet presentations of Tatar settlement platbands as the primary database for further research, assessment of natural wood preservation, scientific publications on conservation of wooden architecture in Tomsk. However, was revealed the quantitative and species diversity of Tatar settlement platbands, their spatial distribution. Highlights the richest with unique architraves streets as a promising route area for education of patriotism and urban tourism development. The implementation of such projects is not only social and cultural sphere of socialization of youth, but also a necessary condition for their professionalisation. 23 | The article is dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the publication of the first edition of A. M. Volkov’s fairy tale “The Wizard of the Emerald City” (1939). The work uses for the first time the handwritten collection of the children’s writer A.M. Volkov, stored at Tomsk State Pedagogical University. Manuscripts allow one to penetrate into the writer’s workshop, to trace the formation and development of an idea and the course of the creative process. A comparison of the structure of chapters in the 1936 manuscript and the 1939 edition made it possible to identify changes made to the composition (deletion, introduction of new ones, merging chapters). In addition, the article provides fragments of manuscripts from 1936, with which A. Volkov planned to supplement the text, but did not include them in the printed version of 1939. Analysis of the drafts gave an idea of A. Volkov’s work with character names. It was important for the writer to find equivalents to the names in F. Baum’s fairy tale, so that they would be understandable to the Russian-speaking reader and optimally reveal the character’s image. The writer worked on the largest number of name options for Scarecrow. Of particular interest is the manuscript of fragments of A. M. Volkov’s play “Flight to Fairyland” based on “The Wizard of the Emerald City”. The manuscript is introduced into scientific circulation for the first time and commented on. The diary entries of A. Volkov and the unusual image of Goodwin in fragments of the play (a black slave Uncle Joe who escaped from an exploiter) indicate that the writer tried to submit to circumstances, adapt to the requirements of censorship, inscribing a fairy tale plot into the traditions of social literature of the late 19th – first half XX century. However, the incompleteness of the play’s concept can be explained by both external (the onset of the “thaw”) and internal (unwillingness to obey the political situation) reasons.
