As a result of stationary investigations is established that the peat deposits of mire ecosystems in Siberia of different genesis are biochemically active in the whole profile. Preliminary data reflecting the particular dynamics of biochemical processes, depending on hydrothermal and redox regimes. Is established that, in comparison with Western Siberia, in the gorno-altai mires the processes of anaerobic destruction of cellulose are more expressed.
