The paper outlines the endangered Siberian language documentation and description program undertaken by the department of Siberian indigenous languages of Tomsk State Pedagogical University. The project is aimed at developing the database of the endangered languages of Ob-Yenissei linguistic area and exemplifies theoretical, methodological and empirical aspects of the areal typological study of these languages, their culture and ethnography, and hypotheses of their contact interaction and mutual evolution.
