INSTRUCTION AND GENERAL SETTING AS MEANS OF STUDENTS’ INDEPENDENT WORK MANAGEMENT WHILE TEACHING FOREIGN HYPERTEXT READING

Perlova I.V.

Information About Author:

There is an urgent demand to teach students to read electronic resources efficiently, especially in foreign languages, due to the increasing amount of their independent work based on the Internet reading. To create educational-speech situation accompanied with an instruction and general setting for independent reading does not only mean making an effective instrument to form reading motivation but also making a means of its management. The article discusses different types of instructions with the gradual reduction of their components number which presumes the development of fundamental skills of independent work – self-planning, self-control and self-correction. Eventual transformation of instruction into general setting – to find and use information in the further communication, gradually converts training reading into specialist real professional activity based on hypertext reading.

Keywords: educational-speech situation, instruction, general setting, hypertext, independent work, instruction components, aim-goal, aim-result
