PSYCHO-PEDAGOGICAL ASPECTS OF PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT IN THE HISTORICAL CONTEXT
Modern society needs responsible persons who have developed intelligence, spiritual and moral qualities, which are able to make their own decisions. For this reason the teacher should pay much attention to the development of pupils at each level of education. The author refers to the history of education and psychology in order to find answers to fundamental questions in understanding the problems of personality development: 1. What is the process of personality development? 2. What factors affect it? 3. What is meant by the word «person» at the present stage? The article traces how the teachers formulated the problem of personality development in the various educational systems, identifies the similarities and differences of these systems, the characteristic features of learning in each of them.
