Denisova М.А., Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor, Voronezh State Technical University (ul. 20-letiya Oktyabrya, 84, Voronezh, Russian Federation, 394006). Е-mail: deni–mar@list.ru; ORCID ID: 0009-0008-9977-8467; SPIN-c: 4722-0767.

Тhe article is devoted to one of the relevant areas of philological science – the study of the onomasticon of an artistic work and its role in the semantic organization of the text. The work is based on the novel "The Violin of an Unknown Master" by N.S. Dashevskaya, a famous modern novelist working for children and teenagers. Her texts have repeatedly become winners of well-known literary competitions, including "Kniguru" (2013, 2014, 2015), "A New Children's Book" (2014), the Marshak Literary Award (2018), and others. The relevance of the research is due to the low level of study of N.S. Dashevskaya's work and, in particular, her approach to choosing proper names in her works. The purpose of the work is to analyze the onomastic space of a literary text as a means of embodying the author's idea. To achieve this goal, the descriptive-functional method, the hermeneutic approach based on the principles of dialogicity and integrity, as well as the method of specific literary criticism based on the works of D.S. Likhachev are used. Toponyms are identified and studied: astronyms, godonyms, ergonyms, homonyms, paronyms, anthroponyms and patronyms, biblionyms and poetonyms are considered, their place and functions in the text of the story are revealed. It is concluded that the onyms chosen by the author play a fundamental role in the realization of the author's idea, which is to connect the present with the past, embodied through music. With the help of biblionyms and poetonyms, the author reveals the inner world of the characters, their character and ideas about life, while toponyms make the world in which the characters live as realistic as possible, thereby fulfilling a world-modeling function.

Keywords: literary onomastics, modern children's literature, hero, plot, composition, author's idea
