Preventive work with disadvantaged families: current state and possibilities (based on an expert survey in Krasnodar)

This paper examines the role of the family institution in the human value system and provides statistical data characterizing the state of modern families living in Krasnodar in terms of their level of well-being/unwell-being. The paper also addresses the issue of forming traditional family values in disadvantaged families from the perspective of the prevention system and interagency cooperation in Krasnodar. The paper explores the work with disadvantaged families to promote traditional family values, the technologies used, and their effectiveness through an expert survey conducted among employees of the Krasnodar prevention system. The study examined possible options for modernizing the existing prevention system. As part of the survey, the social and socio-pedagogical conditions of modern disadvantaged families (registered with the prevention system in the categories of “difficult life situation” and “socially dangerous situation”) were clarified, as well as their possible prospects for achieving “sustainable wellbeing.” The experts also proposed technologies that could improve the quality of social, psychological, pedagogical, and legal work with disadvantaged families. As part of the study, it was found that Krasnodar is actively working with disadvantaged families aimed at their social rehabilitation. However, experts noted that this work may be ineffective due to problems from interdepartmental interaction, pedagogical impact, opportunities for social rehabilitation and requires qualitative changes. According to experts, this situation needs to be changed, but for this it is necessary to apply a set of measures that will involve all organizations and institutions of the prevention system, as well as dysfunctional families themselves: mutual cooperation is necessary. In this regard, experts have identified technologies that could modernize preventive work and the prevention system, such as the use of innovative social work technologies using digital methods, and conducting classes aimed at sex education for both children and adolescents, as well as their parents.
