The author considers the history of 2 types of schools in the North of Siberia. Since the beginning of the XX century: parish and literacy schools. During the first years of the Soviet Power the development of national schools was widely prac-ticed, but later the needs of Northern peoples were of no importance. And nowadays there is only one national school in the village Ivankino.
