THE THEME OF LITERARY CREATIVE WORK IN A BLOG AND INTERVIEW OF LANGUAGE PERSONALITY OF SYNCRETIC TYPE AS ITS IDIOSTYLE REFLECTION (BASED ON THE MEDIA DISCOURSE BY B. AKUNIN) // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2021. Issue 6 (218). P. 17-26

Introduction. Media discourse of public informational and media language personalities is one of topic object of research in up-to-date Russian studies in connection with the active role of information and communication technologies in modern society and the new cognitive and discursive paradigm of linguistic knowledge. Of particular interest are linguistic personalities of the syncretic type, combining several types of activities at once, performing different roles (social, professional, communicative, etc.). Boris Akunin (Grigory Chkhartishvili) belongs to this type of person. The aim of the article is to research the reflection of literary creative work the theme in media discourse of a famous writer and blogger Boris Akunin as a person of the syncretic type, to examine and describe his conception of literary creation’s specificity in the aspect of the author’s idiostyle. Material and methods. The author’s blogs of 2020 and interviews with his participation in 2015–2021 were taken as the research material. To study the idiostyle features of an information and media language personality and its ideas about literary creation, a complex methodology for analyzing the general idiostyle was used, developed in communicative stylistics, including consideration of 3 personality styles: cultural speech, cognitive and communicative. The methods of discursive, semantic-stylistic and contextual analysis were used. Results and discussion. The study showed that the theme of literary creation, which is a key theme for the writer and blogger Boris Akunin, has received a special embodiment, taking into account his creative personality. In blogs and interviews, both general ideas about creativity and a special author’s view of the literary process are reflected. For Boris Akunin, creativity presupposes: the continuity of the literary process, in which the author is included; freedom in choosing genres, themes, style; play as an element of creativity; intrigue as a stimulus for interest in life and creativity; development, lack of routine and monotony. Creativity is viewed by the writer as something that helps to understand modern life. The cultural and speech style of a language personality, reflected in the media discourse, allows us to speak of Akunin as a bearer of an elite type of speech culture, judging by the use of various stylistic techniques and expressive means, along with the use of both literary and (less often) colloquial vocabulary. Analysis of the reflection of literary creativity’s theme in the media discourse of personality demonstrates the combination of rationalistic and metaphorical substyles of cognitive style typical for a writer and blogger. This can be judged by the author’s admissions in his blogs, and by the answers to questions regarding creativity in an interview with his participation. The communicative style of Boris Akunin as a person of the syncretic type is characterized by the skillful use of communicative strategies to attract attention, cooperation, and encouragement to dialogue. Taking into account the addressee’s factor and changes in the dialogue with him in connection with new information technologies characterizes the writer and blogger as a modern person, who is constantly ready for changes. Conclusion. The study of the specificity of literary creativity theme in the media discourse of the famous writer and blogger Boris Akunin as a person of the syncretic type showed not only a certain variation in his idiostyle, but also the commonality of his speech, communicative and cognitive manifestations in the genres of blog and interview. The analysis of the author’s media discourse allowed to reveal some of the features of his creative laboratory, to identify the goals and motives of literary activity. Obtained observations are of interest for the theory of speech communication and stylistics.

Review of the Monograph by E. A. Bazhenova, V. I. Shenkman “The Concept of School and Its Discursive Realization”. // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2023. Issue 1 (225). P. 143-146

The dominant role of the school in the life of modern society, its significance for the education and upbringing of the younger generation, the importance of analyzing ideas about the up-to-date school, the need to develop a methodology for conceptualizing the concept of school in the mass consciousness determined the relevance of the monograph by E. A. Bazhenova and V. I. Shenkman. A descriptive method and methods of analysis, synthesis, comparison and generalization were used in the monograph. The scientific novelty of the monograph is due to a comprehensive description of the content of the school concept based on the existing stereotypes of native speakers of the Russian language with use of various sources, including song discourse and Internet discourse. The study by E. A. Bazhenova and V. I. Shenkman was carried out in line with the modern cognitive-discursive paradigm of linguistic knowledge based on the analysis of the school concept at the present stage of its comprehension by Russian native speakers and in the aspect of diachrony. The integrated approach with lexico-semantic, functional, discursive analysis of the lexical representatives of this concept, the use of a comparative analysis of their actual meanings in the context of various discursive practices with the usual semantics of these units based on numerous lexicographic sources, allowed the authors of the monograph to identify and deeply and systematically describe the content of the concept of school. The monograph identifies the main trends in the interpretation of the concept and the dynamics of ideas about the school in the collective consciousness of Russians. The main factors that are associated with these changes were determined in the monograph. The extensive empirical and lexicographic material used in the monograph (52 dictionaries), reliance on modern achievements in linguistics and its methodology determine the reliability and validity of the results obtained in the study. The monograph by E. A. Bazhenova and V. I. Shenkman, due to its relevance, theoretical and practical significance, will be in demand by specialists in cognitive linguistics, discourse studies, functional stylistics, in the university practice of teaching these disciplines, as well as by everyone who is interested in the problems of modern education. The material of the monograph is of interest to teachers, psychologists, and sociologists.

Peculiarities of a media project as a linguo-communication phenomenon and its use in educational activities // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2023. Issue 3 (227). P. 86-94

The role of media education and the need of forming media culture of users are incresing in the presence of intensive development of informational and communication technologies and growing of the Internet influence in the life of a modern person. One of the brightest demonstrations of the media culture of a language personality is the ability to create and adequately perceive media projects as a reflection of a person’s creative facilities in various fields: cultural, communicative, textual, technological. Insufficient knowledge of this issue determines the need for its development. The aim of the article – working out of the problem of organizing media project activities, elaboration of information about the features of a media project as a linguo-communicative phenomenon with relation to its form, content, function, determination of the methods for its creation and analysis. The article uses an expert description of the available sources on the history and theory of the issue, examination, analysis and generalization. In organizing media project activities, it is necessary to rely on a set of methods, including sociological methods, methods of analytical and critical thinking, discursive analysis, methods of effective teamwork; it is necessary to have the skills of text formation and stylistic editing of media texts, the skills of using computer technology. The media project as a form of communication between the creator and the addressee is defined in the article in terms of form, content and functions as a text product based on a combination of various audiovisual technologies, the author’s skills to create new relevant and original content, uniting people as a result of joint communicative activity for the sake of a common cause. Communicative activity involves the creation of media texts and their perception, interpretation and understanding. Media project as a linguo-communicative phenomenon solves problems connected with critical thinking, analysis and synthesis of multifold information and presentation of author’s ideas to the addressee. In the transmission of information, various means are important, including linguistic and non-linguistic ones (indices, symbols, icons). Their competent use determines the effectiveness of media project activities and characterizes its linguo-didactic potential in the field of education. The article describes the types of media projects identified by the author: by structure, genre features and related activities, as well as by the number of participants in educational activities. It is significant that the preparation of a media project includes the definition of its topic, goals and tasks, the factor of the addressee. To do this, according to a set of methods and existing competencies, it is necessary to identify a void; take into account the factor of integration into the general media context; write a script; prepare a presentation, video; determine the site for placement; to carry out cooperation within the framework of team and expert activities; to adapt and adjust the product; consider the distribution of the media project. The parameters of a comprehensive analysis of a media project as a linguo-communicative phenomenon include evaluation criteria 1) publisher; founder; owner; editor 2) goals and tasks of the project; 3) accounting for the reader / viewer audience (target / targeted, general, random); 4) staff of authors, team, directing; 5) internal structure (themes, problems, script, plot, composition, details); 6) genre and stylistic features (genre, type of speech culture of the author, style, vocabulary, syntactic constructions); 7) design (image, verbal/non-verbal, advertising, infographics, effects); 8) frequency of release (day/week/month/year); 9) volume, timing, plan; circulation, number of subscribers, likes/dislikes, comments, views (day/week/month/year); 10) assessment of placement on a particular resource / site / hosting (surveys and data). Linguistic and extralinguistic features of representation of subtextual information in poetic texts of I. F. Annensky // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2023. Issue 6 (230). P. 94-102

The study of subtext information refers to important problems of modern text theory. Along with factual and conceptual information, it is important for the recipient who perceives the text to understand the subtext, which has various means of representation. The analysis of various types of subtext and the means of its explicit or indirect expression is relevant for modern linguistics, because it is connected with the problem of text interpretation. The purpose of the article is to identify the idiosyncratic specifics of the expression of subtext information in the early poems of the symbolist poet I. Annensky. The subtext in the work of the existentialist poet I. F. Annensky is insufficiently researched. Related to this is the relevance of the study of the author’s philosophical lyrics. The article used such research methods as contextual and conceptual analysis, as well as semantic-stylistic, biographical. The analysis of the poems from the first of the author’s first collection “Quiet Songs” (1904) made it possible to identify the subtext information in the author’s works and determine the means of its representation based on the theory of regularity of the communicative stylistics of the text. Some idiosyncratic features of the symbolist poet are established, reflecting the specifics of this literary direction. Various linguistic and extralinguistic regulatory means and structures have been studied as markers of subtext in I. Annensky’s poems, regulatory dominants have been identified. As the analysis showed, the linguistic means and structures include the names of the collection and poetic texts, the choice of a pseudonym by the author, the use of tropes and figures, of which the author’s individual metaphors, epithets, unusual textual syntagmatics, symbol words, the dominance of antithesis were especially significant for I. Annensky. The extralinguistic means of representing the subtext in the poet’s lyrics include the choice of genre, rhythmic-sound and frame elements of the work. Collection “Quiet songs” by I. Annensky is an excellent example of philosophical lyrics. The rich conceptual sphere of the symbolist poet includes elements of the ancient worldview and existential philosophy. The means of representation of the subtext reveal themselves in the poet’s lyrics in minimal units (italics, lexical regulatives, etc.) and large elements within the general structure of the text, actualizing concepts, chronotope, allusions.

Actual problems of stylistics in modern and historical coverage // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2024. Issue 3 (233). P. 56-64

The relevance of the study is determined by the importance of analyzing the main stages in the development of stylistics as one of the dominant areas of modern speech science. This area reflects a change in the scientific linguistic paradigm and a shift in emphasis from the study of language to the study of speech and speech activity. Although some stages of the development of stylistics have already been covered to one degree or another, it is important to summarize the existing observations and the dynamics of the formation of this field of knowledge as a whole. The purpose of the article is to analyze the problems and brief history of Russian stylistics in modern scientific interpretation, review various stylistic trends developing at different stages of its formation, and identify the prospects of stylistics. The material for the study is the works of famous linguists written in different years, including recent publications. Based on observation, analysis and generalization, the main features of individual stages and trends in stylistics development in Russia were identified, and the prospects for modern stylistic research in line with the new scientific cognitive-discursive paradigm in linguistics were outlined. The article points out stylistics as an important part of speech science and communicative theory of text, which is important for the formation of human speech culture. The dynamics of the development of Russian stylistics in the XX–XXI centuries are presented, the contribution of individual scientists to the formation of its various directions at different stages of stylistic development is characterized. The article notes the connection between stylistics and the theory of discourse and the prospects for the development of this field of knowledge, taking into account the change in scientific paradigms. The future of stylistics is connected with the communicative theory of text and related areas of knowledge in communicative, cognitive, anthropocentric, psycholinguistic, discursive and other scientific areas of modern Russian studies. The tendency towards integration with other fields of knowledge is decisive for modern stylistics, which has a strong theoretical basis, formed on the anthropocentrism and textocentrism of the humanities, and is strong in its scientific schools. The diversity of spheres of communication and speech practices of linguistic personalities of different types, the emergence of new information technologies and communication channels determine new horizons for stylistic research in the 21st century.

Communicative stylistics: model of the concept structure and its reflection in the text // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2025. Issue 3 (239). P. 80-88

The conceptual and terminological apparatus of modern cognitive linguistics requires clarification in terms of its relationship with textual (discursive) activity, in which the content and structure of the key concepts of cognitive linguistics are manifested. This is especially relevant in connection with the modern cognitive-discursive scientific paradigm, which is characterized by tendencies towards integration with related fields of knowledge, including psycholinguistics, text and discourse theory. The purpose of the article is to develop a model of the structure of the concept in terms of its connection with textual activity, and it based on the theory of archetypes by K.G. Jung and the theoretical basis of communicative stylistics of the text. The research material included scientific articles and monographs devoted to the history of the issue. The article uses the general scientific descriptive method and techniques of analysis, synthesis, comparison, generalization, classification and modeling. In considering the connection between the concept and textual activity, the theory and methodology of communicative stylistics of the text is used. Complex multi-layered and multi-level structure, cultural essence and field nature is common in the interpretation of the concept by researchers is the recognition of its mental nature. At the same time, modeling the structure of the concept requires clarification in terms of reflecting the universal and unique in it. Studying the concept model is especially important for primary and secondary textual activity, which reflects the concept and its components. Reliance on the theory of archetypes by K.G. Jung allows deeper understanding of the nature of the concept with an emphasis on the sphere of the collective unconscious and the theory of individualization, important for communication based on textual activity. The model of the structure of the concept from the point of view of the reflection of the universal and individual in it can be conditionally presented as a system of layers with the identification of the archetypal layer as the nuclear one. The concept model proposed by the author includes the nuclear zone, the near-nuclear, pre-nuclear and peripheral zones. The core zone of the concept is made up of an archetype, which is universal for most people; it is associated with the sphere of the unconscious, with “generational memory” and determines the remaining zones of the concept thanks to various associations assigned to the archetype. The adjacent zone includes associative, figurative and symbolic layers, stimulated by the corresponding nominee of the concept – the sign (signs) used in the discursive (textual) activity of the community. The pre-nuclear zone includes the subject and conceptual layers of the concept, associated with the process of awareness by the community and the individual of the features of the reality of the surrounding world or consciousness corresponding to the nominated concept. The value-evaluative layer (interpretative) is assigned to the peripheral zone of the concept, which reflects not only the connection with collective memory, but also the process of individualization based on a person’s personal linguistic and social experience. The use of the concept model proposed within the framework of communicative stylistics of the text allows us to specify the methodology of conceptual analysis from the point of view of differentiating the universal and the individual in the content and structure of the concept. This is important for the semantic interpretation of the content of both individual concepts verbalized in texts and for the conceptual structure of the text as a whole. Modeling a concept and studying its implementation in a text is of interest for cognitive linguistics, text theory and communicative stylistics.

Regulatory means and ways of implementing the mega-concept "woman" in the lyrics of M.I. Tsvetaeva as a reflection of the linguocultural trend of the epoch // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2025. Issue 4 (240). P. 69-77

The poetic word is unique because it performs not only an informative function, but also an aesthetic one, associated with the impact on the personality of the addressee. According to philosophers and linguists, the language of culture and art is a tool for transmitting social, religious and political changes in society. This must be taken into account when analyzing the poetic picture of the world of famous masters of artistic words. Insufficient development of megaconcept notion in the conceptual and terminological apparatus of cognitive linguistics, poetics, stylistics determines the need to develop it taking into account not only the scientific, but also the general literary and historical context of the era. The purpose of the article is to analyze the regulatory means used by M.I. Tsvetaeva to implement the mega-concept "woman", associated with the images of the author’s lyrical heroines, acting in certain role models of behavior, relevant for the end of the 19th – beginning of the 20th century in Russia. The article analyzes poetic texts by M.I. Tsvetaeva of different years, which present role models of behavior of lyrical heroines, reflecting different facets of the mega-concept "woman". The work is based on the theory of regulatory communicative stylistics of the text, the use of methods of semantic-stylistic, motivational, contextual analysis and the "word-image" method. The mega-concept "woman" is presented in the study as a complex multifaceted cognitive structure and a reflection of the linguacultural trend in the general context of the late 19th – early 20th century in Russia. This stage in the country's history is characterized by changes in public consciousness: collectivism gives way to individualism, there is a rethinking of ideas about man and his role in the world, which has generated interest in gender differences, and new role models of women's behavior appear, causing public resonance. These tendencies received artistic realization in the poetic picture of the world of M.I. Tsvetaeva. The images of M. Tsvetaeva's lyrical heroines are considered as a reflection of different models of women's behavior that are relevant for this period in Russian history: 1) the role model of a woman who does not have the right to vote; 2) the model of a woman-creator; 3) the model of a loving woman; 4) the model of a mother. A wide range of various regulatory means and structures of different levels used by the author to influence the addressee and reveal the multifaceted essence of the mega-concept "woman" has been identified. The most common among them are: epithets, metaphors, rhetorical questions, exclamations, addresses, graphic means; stylistic devices of repetition, contrast, gradation, syntactic parallelism, etc. The interpretation of the mega-concept as a multifaceted cognitive structure and reflection of the linguacultural trend in the world view of society in a certain period of its development allows us to take a new look at the image of a woman in the broad literary and historical context of the era, based on different role models of behavior of M.I. Tsvetaeva’s lyrical heroines. The obtained results may be of interest for linguapersonology, cognitive linguistics, and communicative text stylistics.

Means of influence in the media discourse of the leading Telegram channel // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2025. Issue 6 (242). P. 114-125

The study of means and methods of speech influence remains a pressing issue for various areas of communication, since at all times it is important for a person to have an effect on interlocutors and be understood. Lexical means have special pragmatics, given their various nature and basic character for transmitting information and influencing the addressee. The modern digital age is no exception, although the range of communication tools used has expanded significantly due to new information and computer technologies. The anthropocentrism of the modern scientific linguistic paradigm, the insufficient study of the information and influence potential of new media genres, new communication channels and communication formats that are implemented in the Telegram channel, determines the need to study the media discourse of the leading Telegram channel that has an impact on the mass audience. Despite the existing studies devoted to media discourse and the means of exposure on it, the issue of means of influence in the media discourse of leading Telegram channels remains insufficiently studied. These factors determine the novelty of the platform and its specificity, which requires separate analysis. The purpose of the article is to identify and analyze the main means of influence used in the media discourse of the leading Telegram channel, as well as to determine their effectiveness and impact on the mass addressee. The article examines two public open Telegram channels – “I am in chalk” and the Telegram channel – “Button”. The study is based on the use of speech influence theory, methods of content analysis, discourse analysis, semiotic and comparative analysis of channels. An algorithm for analyzing Telegram channels has been developed, which is relevant for studying the pragmatics of the speech influence tools used by the presenter. It includes the following parameters: 1) content and structure: a) channel purpose and choice of strategy; b) publication format; c) sections/headings; d) key topics; 2) sociology of the channel, the relationship between publication formats; 3) analysis of means of influence: a) stylistic features and type of speech; b) vocabulary in terms of usage, active/passive vocabulary, expressive-stylistic marking; c) visual accents of the text; d) interactive elements; 4) analysis of the audience’s reaction to publications (comments, reposts). The study found that using a variety of media, such as emotionally marked text, visual elements and interactive formats, significantly increased audience interest. The most effective approaches were those that combined text with visuals and interactive elements. Visual elements, including images, videos and infographics, are of consequence in attracting attention and improving the perception of information. It has been established that posts with visual content receive more views and audience reactions compared to text publications. Posts that have, in addition to text messages, various visual content, enjoy greater attention and interest from users, and have more views. Audience activity increases if the author uses dialogue and appeals, expressive-emotional vocabulary, rhetorical questions, and exclamatory sentences. Effective use of linguistic and visual means of influence, dialogic forms of communication in the media discourse of the leading Telegram channel attracts the audience, increases its interest in the Telegram channel. It is necessary to take into account the addressee factor and the characteristics of the target audience in the use of means of influence. The results of the study are of interest for functional lexicology, communicative theory of text, and media stylistics.
