Based on the comparative analysis of the U.S. innova¬tive practice in the field of training of the youth for employ¬ment the article reveals new educational initiatives: organi¬zational and pedagogical models of multilevel vocational and professional education, forms of transition from school to work etc. The author makes the conclusion on the existence of the adaptation potential of the international experience in question that can be borrowed under conditions of the Rus¬sian educational system modernization.
