Rusanova O.N. THE MOTIVE “LEARNER-TEACHER” IN THE PLAY BY E.L. SHVARTS“A STORY OF A YOUNG COUPLE”. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2014. Issue 11 (152). P. 78-82

The article is devoted to the one of the last plays by E. L. Shvarts “A Story of a Young Couple”). It is devoted to the problem of mutual understanding of loving people, their readiness to build relationship in a family and accept a compromise. The motive “learner-teacher” plays an essential role in the logic of the play. This motive is developing during the act of the play and is linking plotlines of different characters. This motive is shown on several levels: verbal, situational and on the level of the system of characters. The author of the article has tried to analyse the semantic spectrum of the motive. In the post-war time the loss of kin relations is filled up with family creation that is with clan creation. It distinguishes the work of E. L. Shvarts from the Soviet literature representing a family as the state. An important psychological, social and ontological role is played in this case by “teachers” who are keepers and propagators of life values. The followers are represented by people of young generation who have already created families or who are on the way toward it. The teachers are people of older generation (tutors, fellow workers, casual acquaintances and also come to life toys, the appearance of which attaches fabulousness to the play.

Sviridova E.E. PASTICHE AS ONE OF THE LANGUAGE PLAY FEATURES IN STEFANO BENNI’S NOVELS AND COLLECTED STORIES. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2016. Issue 6 (171). P. 39-45

The paper deals with the specific features of using “pastiche” technique in Stefano Benni’s works such as “Achille pie’ veloce” and “Baol” novels and collected stories “Il bar sotto il mare”, “Bar-sport”. Stefano Benni is one of the most famous Italian contemporary writers, mostly known for his language play: due to a great amount of neologisms it has been called “bennilingua” (the language of Benni). Pastiche is an essential part of language play and linguistic experiment, which illustrates stylistic possibilities and the potential of the language and enlarges its limits. The patchiness of Stefano Benni’s language makes it possible to view his works as a part of postmodernism.

In recent decades, the internationalization of higher education has become one of the main trends influenced by the development of globalization processes. Market environment in Russia sets a new goal for Russian higher education – training of highly qualified specialists in engineering and technology which are able to change the economic situation, to design and operate modern products and engineering systems. In this context, the internationalization is becoming one of the key components for the development of higher education, which is essential to hold leading positions in world university rankings. The article is focused on the influence of internationalization on the modern higher school, defines the relevant competencies of university research and teaching staff, connected with the ability to collaborate with other universities in international context, to develop and conduct joint research and educational projects, to design and implement unique educational programs. The experience of Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) in the field of faculty professional development focused on the development of this set of competencies is presented. The connection between the competencies and the indicators of TPU “road map” is stated. Research relevance is explained by the need of educational institutions to engage high-skilled faculty members, which are able to collaborate effectively in international context, to make research projects with international partners, to contribute to university higher positions in world rankings.

In this article the duality of mentality of a man of traditional cultures of Siberia and the North is characterized by a combination of empirical and pre-ioglcal elements of mentality. Empirical element of mentality of a man of traditional culture embodies individual practical experience of formal-logical order. But being indifferent to the objective cause and effect relationships of the phenomena, he reveals particular attentiveness to manifested and hidden mystical links between phenomena, the basis of which is the law of mystical contiguity of cause and effect. As a result of domination of such law a man of traditional society makes his behavior in the culture. This explains the duality of mentality of a man of traditional culture of Siberia and the North, whose empirical intuition is subjected to the «supreme collective notions*.

The various types of water basins, i. e. river, accessory, marsh and continental ones, are considered as biotopes for fresh-water mollusks of North-Siberia. For each of the above basin types the qualitative and qualitative composition of mollusks is reported and the most widely spread species are indicated. Regarding the biotopes and environmental factors involved, rheo-, stagno- and eurybionts are found to predominate among the fresh-water mollusks of Northern Siberia. The adaptation of mollusks to certain environmental factors of the water basins and their distribution in the biotopes because of these factors are considered.

The results of the research of English outdoor advertisements show that all the resources of verbal manipulation are closely connected with each other in advertising discourse. A combined model where the vertical impurity dis¬persal was calculated by means of a set of differential equations, such as equations of motion, turbulent dif¬fusion and heat conduction, while the horizontal dis¬persal was computed by a Gaussian model was used. The proposed model is complemented with as¬signed semi-empirical dependences for altitude varia¬tions of wind velocity, turbulent exchange coefficient, atmospheric temperature and turbulence statistics. The paper touches upon the new problems in theory and practice of teaching the foreign languages in conformity with modern vital conditions. In such a context it is a matter of introducing a psychological component to the educational process to be aimed at optimization of foreign training at any stage of continuous education system as well as the improvement of communication teaching level. Application of up-to-date psychotechnologies in the process of foreign training seems to be within the capacity of the foreign lan¬guage teacher, as it does not require special psychothera-peutic knowledge. The present paper appears to be an ef¬fort to observe the opportunities of using neurolinguistics programming (NLP) strategics in practice of teaching the foreign languages at a non-linguistic higher educational in¬stitution which allow the teacher to reveal the students' style and apply the methods to be the most suitable for the present student or the given group. In this interpretation the NLP approach should be consid¬ered as one of the innovatory forms of educational and out-of-lecture teacher's activities within the bounds of possible spending of time, as a stimulus to the creative potential devel¬opment of students and, first of all, not as a principal method of teaching the foreign languages but as an additional technology to improve the foreign language educational process and make it more effective, easy and pleasurable for mastering.

The author analyzes the sociocultural factors, which determine the formation of scientific knowledge, such as values, traditions, rules and regulations established by society; considers the change of outlook with the change of historical periods; gives examples of some scientific activity modifications. In the last decades the science becomes more than only the scope. It is also the ideology, the way of knowledge systematization. This process increases the level of mutual influence of science and culture. Consequently the science is a unique social institution, which sets trends to develop the main component of culture.

The dynamics of a charged relativistic particle in electromagnetic field of a rotating magnetized celestial body with the magnetic axis inclined to the axis of rotation is studied. The covariant Lagrangian function in the rotating reference frame is found. Effective potential energy is defined on the base of the first integral of motion. The structure of the equipotential surfaces for a relativistic charged particle moving in strong magnetic field is studied and depicted. Behavior of the stationary points of the effective potential energy near the light cylinder is discussed.

The author considers the results of typological analysis of terminological units of scientific style of American variant of English in lexical-semantic field ‘renewable energy sources’ in the present article. Types of terminological units of scientific style in lexical-semantic field ‘renewable energy sources’ of American variant of English were defined. Among terminological units single component terminological units and multi-component terminological units, acronyms and acronymous compounds, nomenclature units, preterminological units, and occasionalisms were found in the texts of scientific style of American variant of English in the sphere of ‘renewable energy sources’. Linguistic characteristics of terminological units of scientific style in lexical-semantic field ‘renewable energy sources’ of American variant of English were given.

Simonenko E.S. THE ATTITUDE OF QUEBEC ON THE PROBLEM OF CANADA’S ENTRY INTO THE FIRST WORLD WAR. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2018. Issue 5 (194). P. 81-86

Within the new direction of social history, the subject field of which is the study of the social processes that accompanied the global conflicts of the 20th century, forms an objective idea about the attitude of the French-Canadian population on the problem of Canada‘s participation in the collective defense of the British Empire during the First World War. The paper examines the views of various groups of French-Canadian society (provincial government of Quebec, Roman Catholic Church’s representatives, French Canadian nationalists, provincial press of different social and political orientation) on the question of sending French-Canadian battalions to Europe. The chronology of the described events includes the first five months of the First World War (August – December 1914). As a result of the research, it estimates the level of imperial loyalty of the population of Quebec on the question of Canada‘s participation in the imperial wars. It studies the objective and subjective factors of the passivity of voluntary recruitment in Quebec (lack of military experience of the French-Canadian population, insufficient number of provincial police forces, traditionalism of the the rural population, anti-militarism propaganda of French-Canadian pacifists and nationalists, imperial policy of Department of Militia in Federal Government). It determines the role of the social movement for the creation of separate French-Canadian battalions in the process of activating recruitment and sending volunteers to the front.

A mathematical model of the institute of higher education activities is presented in the article. On the basis of this model a program system, so-called institute administration simulator, is built. The simulator is designed to be applied in education and management training. Great attention is paid to the model of infrastructure development of Russian institute of higher education, where basic business processes associated with infrastructure development (such as building and taking areas on lease, library stock institute informatization) are shown.
