Boronenko T.S. THE USE OF MODIFIED HILL’S VARIABLES IN THE METHOD OF AVERAGING // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2011. Issue 8 (110). P. 53-56

In this paper the modified Hill’s canonical variables are introduced. They are v, G, H; r, g, h, where r is the distance to the primary for Keplerian orbit ; v = dr / dt; G= aј(1e2) and H = G cos i are Delaunay’s variables; g = Й is the argument of the periapsis; h = © is the longitude of the ascending node. We show that the modified Hill’s canonical variables are useful in some analytical theories of motion where it is need to avoid expansion of the perturbations in powers of eccentricity and where it is advantageous to use the eccentric anomaly as independent variable. As an example, we consider the single-averaged analytical model in the frame of the restricted three-body problem for satellite case.

Konysheva A.V., Kachalov N.A. TO THE QUESTION OF THE LANGUAGE AND CULTURE INTERRELATION IN THE FOREIGN LANGUAGE TRAINING AT A TECHNICAL COLLEGE // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2014. Issue 8 (149). P. 56-61

Expansion of professional communication, business talks with foreign partners, work with the technical documentation in a foreign language, the importance of the traineeships abroad require more use of foreign language in the training of future engineers. Therefore, the subject “Foreign Language” has a special place, because it should provide not only the language itself, but the country’s culture and language, and by comparison it may overshadow the peculiarities of national culture and acquaint with universal values. In other words, foreign language should contribute to the education of students enrolled in non-language majors, in the context of intercultural dialogue. This, in its turn requires knowledge of norms and traditions of communication of people-native speakers, that is all that is meant by communication behavior as part of the national culture. Knowledge of the rules and traditions of communication allows the participants of the speech act, belonging to different national cultures, adequately perceive and understand each other, which contributes to intercultural communication.

Balkova S. THE FIRST FAIRY TALE (“PRINCESS AT THE BALL”) BY FRANTISEK HRUBIN AS INTERPRETATION OF MIKHAIL LANDMAN: ABOUT THE SPECIFICS OF TRANSLATING CZECH CHILDREN POETRY TO THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 2 (179). P. 97-101

The aim of this work is to discuss some specifics of translating Czech children poetry to the Russian language. For the analysis were chosen the poem called “První pohádka (Princeznička na bále)” (The First Fairy Tale; Princess at the Ball), written by well-known Czech poet Frantisek Hrubin, and its translation “Принцесса кораллы свои потеряла” (The Princess Who Lost Her Beads) by Mikhail Landman. The analysis exposed the specifics of the translation such as: more phraseological and idiomatic expressions than in the original poem and more developed and concrete description of the places and characters. More specific descriptions of the places could lead to activation of imagination in child mind. The increase of phraseological and idiomatic expressions is justified by the adaptation of the Czech poem into the structure of traditional Russian national literature. The name of the Czech protagonist “Honzik” corresponding to the Russian Ivanushka-Durachok and the basic ironic modality of the poem were not altered in the translation. The translator may have left the original names for one of two reasons: either to avoid the necessity of changing the names of other characters, leading to a monolingual structure of the translation, or to create an opportunity for the Czech names to obtain new associations of their own in the Russian language. The ironic undertone of the poem’s finale is kept in the translation but it is presented by different means.

Surnina L.E. I. A. KURATOV’S POETICS: TO THE QUESTION OF POLYSUBJECTIVITY OF THE POET’S LYRICS // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 7 (184). P. 140-143

The article presents the results of I. A. Kuratov’s lyrics analysis through the prism of its subject structure. The analysis found that the lyric poet is multy subject system containing various subjective forms of the author’s consciousness expressions: the actual author, lyrical hero, the author-narrator, the hero «role» of the lyrics. Kuratov’s lyrical system is oriented towards the samples of realistic Russian and world lyricism, which has already mastered polysubject forms by the 19th century. Development by the poet of different forms of expression of author’s consciousness is connected with extension of the thematic contents of poetry. An analysis of poetic material made it possible to reveal the unconditional connection between the choice of the forms of expression of the author’s consciousness and the semantic aspect of Kuratov’s works. However polysubjectivity is characteristic of certain verses by Kuratov, which creates a poetic polyphony, and expand the functions of direct speech. Studying poetic works of Komi poet through the prism of their subjective system makes it possible to reveal not only the immanent features of Kuratov’s lyricism, but also to present the place and role of I. Kuratov in the development of the subject sphere and the poetic system of the lyrics of komi of the 1850s-1870s.

Santotskaya K.E. SOCIO-EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM “LEGAL BASES OF TOURIST ACTIVITY” AS A WAY OF DEVELOPMENT OF LEGAL CULTURE OF SCHOOLCHILDREN IN THE CONTEXT OF ADDITIONAL EDUCATION // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 9 (186). P. 173-177

Intellectual, emotional-psychological and behavioral-communicative components of the legal culture have been analyzed and a contradiction between the need to form these components since the school age and the lack of appropriate social and educational programs in the education system have been determined. The conclusions are drawn that additional education has certain peculiarities in comparison with other types of formal education and it is determined that it is the system of additional education of children that is the space providing effective formation of schoolchildren as subjects of life activity and contributing to the successful implementation of programs aimed at shaping the legal culture of schoolchildren. The relationship between the high level of legal culture, civil legal relations and their manifestation in the tourist activity is defined. The contradiction between the requirement for a high level of legal culture among participants of legal relations in the sphere of tourist activity and the lack of the system of work aimed at satisfying this requirement and the contradiction between the need to form the components of a legal culture, starting from school age, and the lack of appropriate social and educational programs in the educational system. The main provisions of the supplementary education program “Legal foundations of tourist activities” developed by the Center for Children and Youth Tourism of the TSPU are described.

Kudryavtseva I.P. PERSONAL PERCEPTION OF TIME EXPRESSED BY ENGLISH SET EXPRESSIONS IN MODERN LITERARY TEXTS // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 10 (187). P. 96-102

The article considers individual aspect of time perception. Firstly, a brief theoretical review of problem studies goes. Depending on mood and activity, personal time proceeds either quickly or slowly and it can be either pleasant or not. Positive emotions bring a deceptive impression of a fast flow of time. Negative emotions, on the contrary, subjectively lengthen the time intervals. The practical part examines around 30 modern English set expressions denoting time as perceived by a person. The conclusion says that the perception of time as short/long or pleasant/unpleasant is expressed in speech through fixed collocations used by authors of modern fiction. Short time is described in dictionary English set expressions as “fun” and “it flies”. Long time “hangs heavily on one’s hands.” Unpleasant time is “bad, hard, dark, evil, rough, thin, lean and it is not one’s own. Pleasant time is “good, easy, the best of one’s life, the time of one’s life, high and there’s a lot of it”. Pleasant time “has its moments, it is one’s finest hour and it makes one’s day”. Fiction authors’ creative thinking depicts bad time as “poor, awful, dreadful, horrible, terrible, very uncomfortable, devil of a time and hell of a bloody time”. Pleasant time is “nice, lovely, great, excellent, delightful, smashing, terrific, fantastic, marvelous, riotous, and dead good”. The considered aspect of a writer’s individual style of personal, timerelated vocabulary is worth further research.

Skripnik A.V. POETICS OF GOGOL’S “THE FAIR OF SOROTCHNETZ”: NATIONAL COLOR AND PROBLEMS OF TRANSLATION OF THE NON-EQUIVALENT LEXIS AS MARKERS OF THE EPOCH // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2018. Issue 4 (193). P. 154-158

Adequate reproduction of the national-cultural color of the text is always at the center of the translation and accentuates the problem of the interrelation between language and culture. The translation of the works of the XIX century with the specific style and a large number of obsolete words and realities is complicated because of the need to preserve the historical color. The national coloring of the work is manifested in such elements of the text as the plot, characters, individual realities, which are the most “nationally” painted vocabulary, situations that at first glance do not have a pronounced national character. When translating, there is often a situation where cultural information, understandable to the native speaker, does not correspond to information contained in the target language. The analysis showed that in the English version of the story, the denotative meaning of the original language units is preserved in most cases. However, the connotative significance of realities is often lost, which damages the reproduction of the national color of the story. During the transfer, a significant part of the stylistic specificity of Gogol disappeared. The title of the cycle “Evenings in Little Russia”, which led to the change of the name of the stories (“An evening in May”, “Mid-summer evening”), removes the accent on the national color of Dikanka made by Gogol. Successful reception of preservation of national color can be considered transcription of realities and transfer of its content as a descriptive expression. In some parts of the text, in particular where appropriate equivalents are used, interpreters manage to convey the national flavor of the story, but in most cases the national color is lost.

The research concerns also living conditions of adults and children in emigration, their complicated material and moral conditions, difficulties which children had to face (either the necessity to work at an early age and, as a result, the inability to attend school, or the employment of parents at work and the inability to educate a child, which ultimately led to disobedience and permissiveness), identifies the factors, which affected this and means of providing assistance to refugee children. The author pays attention to the difficulties, which children faced in emigration: hunger, need, mental and physical violence and denationalization. The author also points out the means of struggle against such a regime and means of providing support from the government and emigration organizations (material support, organization of various children “settlements”, summer children camps and refuges) and problems, which they faced while organizing all this work. The author also gives the comparative analyses of refugee children’s position in recipient countries and points out that children conditions were different according to the policy of the government towards Russian emigrants and economical situation inside every country. Moreover the direct dependence of legal and material status on economical situation inside the country is also pointed out in the research.

Borisova T.S. ON THE FEATURES OF THE TRANSLATION OF GREEK COMPLEX WORDS IN THE INITIAL STAGES OF THE CHURCH SLAVONIC LITERATURE // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2019. Issue 7 (204). P. 40-47

Introduction. Though the Church Slavonic composites have been thoroughly studied, many problems concerning the origin of this linguistic phenomenon in the early stages of Church Slavonic literature still remain open. Aim and Objectives. The purpose of this study is to analyze the methods of translating of Greek composites to the Church Slavonic language in the early stages of the history of Slavic literature (the end of the 9th - the beginning of the 10th centuries). Material and Methods. The investigation was performed on the base of the Slavonic translations of the Byzantine hymnography of the Triodion cycle. We studied comparatively with their Greek texts four Slavonic translated hymns: the Akathistos Hymn, the Great Canon of Repentance by St. Andrew of Crete, the Alphabetical Shichera from the Great Canon service and the Antiphons of the Great and Holy Friday by the Church Slavonic manuscripts (Lenten Triodion and Pentecostarion) of the 12th - 13th centuries. Results and discussion. In the Greek texts of these hymns we found 147 composites and analyzed the options for their translation by Slavic scribes in terms of their morphemic and syntactic structure and semantics. Based on the structure, Slavic correspondences to Greek composites were divided into untranslated borrowings, phrases, single-root semantic correspondences, original composites and calque-composites. Most of these categories were further divided into structural and semantic subcategories, with the different ways of reproducing of the semantics of the Greek composites. In percentage terms, the most insignificant category was borrowings. The calque technique actively used by Slavic scribes, however, covers less than a half of the total number of Slavic correspondences. We observed a considerable variation in the Slavic translations of Greek lexemes and root morphemes, while the same morpheme as a part of different composites could be translated as a single word, root or affix. Conclusion. The status of the calque in the early stages of the history of the Church Slavonic language was just one of the methods of conveying the semantics of a Greek composite, without a conscious intention of the scribes neither to copy the structure of the Greek words nor to establish invariant lexical, morphological and structural correspondences between the source and the target language.

Grekova O.K. INTEGRATIVE RUSSIAN FOR SPECIAL PURPOSES` VOCABULARY COURSE // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2020. Issue 4 (210). P. 183-191

Introduction. The paper deals with Language for Special Purposes Vocabulary Course Modern Teaching Methods. It limelights the integrative course with the multichannel teaching aids’ presentation and lines out its organization principles. This program is based on the auditive educational lectures’ course, built exclusively on the educational material of authentic lectures’ extracts. Lectures’ glossaries as a pattern for revising the main pronunciation difficulties at the same time introduce the discipline subject index. Totally it results in forming the compact multipurpose course, involving the spheres of Phonetics/Accentuation/Rhythmics/ in the aggregate with Lexicon/Grammar/Logic/Composing/Rhetoric/Sounding &Written text Analysis/Speech Development. As soon as each lecture’s task typology is vast and is reproduced repeatedly, students gain the possibility to see every object diversely in its totality and contradictions. The purpose of this article is not only to describe the integratively introduced knowledge, but to present a system of methods for working with knowledge in the flow of such educational course. Material and methods. The principle research method is the comparative analysis of hypothetical and real ways of uniting the different purposes and aims of the functional Russian as a Foreign Language course in a solid program. Results and discussion. It turned out that the purposes and aims of forming competences, being different in their nature, are compatible in the integral whole in the educational course. Such course can be based on listening as a type of speech activity. And it’s the diverse kinds of mental activity (extracting information from different non-homogenous sources, presented on different vehicles, phenomenae’ comparison, emphasizing the main item, making whole of an odd set, general and concrete problems’ formulating, enumerating the problem aspects) that forms a certain mentality type. And it is vital not only for those, specialized in “Philology: Linguistics: Literature Studies”. Conclusion. An integrative educational course is an integral system, simultaneously involving students in several kinds of mental and speech activity. Multichannel teaching aids presentation forms the communicative competence rapidly. Hence such courses contribute to intensifying Russian as a Foreign Language educational process.

Guseinov G.A. ABOUT SOME ASPECTS OF ANCIENT RELATIONSHIPS OF TATI AND KUMYK LANGUAGES // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2022. Issue 3 (221). P. 46-55

Introduction. A retrospective analysis of the history of the relationship between the Tat and Kumyk languages has not yet been the subject of special consideration. Its chronological and areal limits are from the oldest contacts in the North Asian region at the level of the pre-languages to the early medieval era of the existence of the Khazar Khaganate in the East Caucasus. The aim is to provide the necessary historical and linguistic material at the disposal of Tati language researchers, which reflects the retrospective stages of its relationship with the Kumyk language, correlating with the main tasks of this study. Objectives include: 1) the oldest stage of the pre-language relations of these languages, associated with the effect of the Proto-Turkic substrate on Prairan; 2) ancient (III–II thousand BC) – contacts of the northern and southern Western Iranian languages, including Tati, which led to the development of the second (ancient) type of Turkic rotacism in them; 3) connections of the early medieval (Khazar Khaganate) era, the legacy of which are the Hebraisms of the Kumyk language. Material and methods. The material is reviewed at the level of various synchronous slices. At the same time, the methods of the comparative historical method, as well as linguistic geography and areal geography, are used. Results and discussion. The presence in Prairan vocalism of the Prototurk substrate umlaut (reverse harmony of vowels) turns out to be due to the contacts of the corresponding proto-languages in the front Asian zone. Later (III–II thousand BC) their manifestations include rotacism in the northern and southern Western Iranian languages, including Tati. Even later is the general Turkic progressive harmony of vowels, known to both Tat dialects. By the early Middle Ages, the appearance of a noticeable number of Hebraisms of the Khazar era in the Kumyk language refers. Conclusion. The oldest level of relations between the Tat and Kumyk languages includes the presence in the Prairan vocalism of the Proto-Turkic substrate umlaut, the development of which turns out to be due to the contacts of the corresponding forelanguages in the front Asian zone. Later (III–II thousand BC) in the northern and southern Western Iranian languages, including Tat, the ancient Turkic (Bulgarian) rotacism develops. Even later, due to bilingualism, the general Turkic progressive harmony of vowels is divided with the local Turkic languages in the Tati language. In the early Middle Ages, a noticeable number of Hebraisms – borrowings from the Hebrew language – penetrated the vocabulary of the Kumyk language.
