The material for analysis is Eastern-Slavic mythological tradition diversified in folklore, literary texts; language system bearing culturally significant typifications; peculiarities of ceremonial practice. The topic of boundary, which rises from the fundamental perceptions of consciousness about heterogeneity of space, is projected on the microcosm of a human body. In symbolic anatomy it is possible to outline the inner boundaries that structure a body from inside, and external ones that fix the boundaries of structures that go outside. | 2011 | The article deals with problems of cognitive linguistics. The fundamental concepts comprising world language picture is the centre of attention. The article traces the verbalization of the concept of “bread” in the Russian language, using materials from the academic dictionary that contain some phraseological units with component “bread”, each of which implements one of the main cognitive features of this concept. On the basis of the examples given, it is shown that the degree of phraseologization of these units is different, but nevertheless all of them retain a connection with the original denotate. This circumstance contributes to the preservation of positive connotations in this phraseological paradigm. The analysis of cognitive signs to identify the scope of the concept of “bread” in the language picture of the world of the Russian people is carried out. The question of the original meaning, which forms the main nominative meaning of the word “bread” in Russian, which is present in the semantic structure of all derivatives, regardless of the degree of their distance from the creation of a semantic base, is considered. For the bulk identification of the concepts of “bread” in the linguistic picture of the world of Russian people, an analysis was conducted on the basis of cognitive signs. The fundamental nature of the concept “bread” in a language picture of the world of the Russian people with all evidence is shown at all levels. A complete idea of the scope of this concept can be created only with regard to folklore material. However, the system of the most important cognitive signs is successfully traced on the material of lexical, phraseological and paremiological units. We have been collecting the corresponding materials from dictionaries of V. I. Dal, V. M. Ogoltsev, D. N. Ushakov, M. Fasmer, and the four-volume academic dictionary of Russian (the Small Academic dictionary). The task of cognitive or linguistic-cognitive analysis is to analyze language units, focused on identifying cognitive signs that represent this concept in the structure of a particular character. The research shows that cognitive characteristics realized by the concept “bread” embrace the image of bread in the national thinking of Russian nation. | 2012 | Introduction. In the modern novel “The Senility of Vladimir P” a typical image of a “small man” is created and the myth of Russia as a multi-layered system of stereotypes recognizable by the Western recipient is constructed. The purpose of the study is to characterize the stereotypical image of the Russian “small man” in the modern British novel and to determine its functions in the meta-myth of Russia. Material and methods. The methodology of comparative studies, in particular, imagology is used as its the interdisciplinary nature allows one to study the image of the “Other” in the social, cultural and literary consciousness of another country at intertextual, contextual and textual levels upon the concept of stereotypes (according to J. Leerssen). “The Senility of Vladimir P” by M. Honig is a material for research. Results and discussion. Under a scandalous headline, the author offers us a story about life in Russia through the prism of the theme of “small man”. The main character, Nikolay Sheremetyev, is not inclined to reflection until the situation of loss appears and his beloved nephew is arrested. From this moment on, the narrative is gaining momentum, the main character is changing: reality acquires more and more grotesque features, and reader witnesses painful transformation of Sheremetyev, the “small man”, the last honest person in Russia, who makes a deal with his conscience and begins to act within the framework of English-Saxon tradition. The image of the “Other” is presented by Honig precisely from the perspective of the Anglo-Saxon tradition in which all the other characters are actually written out: Russians only by entourage and consistent with the Western stereotype, but infected with Western individualism. The characters of the novel are classified by type depending on the model of behavior and prototype. Conclusion. M. Honig builds a grotesque, absurd image of Russia in the middle of the XXI century. Ethnotype characters act in conditional situations without author pretending to psychologize the image and reveal characters, because they must create the most complete, comprehensive picture of Russian reality, reflect Russian national features as they fit into the British myth of Russia that is familiar to the British. Honig constructs the ethnotype of Russian citizens of the mid-XXIst century from 1) the image of a small man (Nikolai Sheremetyev), traditional for Russian literature; 2) the media image of Russian elite formed mainly by Western media and Russian liberal media; 3) an exaggerated and schematic image of a typical Russian, featured in Western cinema of the late twentieth century. Before us there is a conflict not only of different attitudes, but the opposition of the Russian and English (more broadly Anglo- Saxon) worlds at the cultural and civilizational level. Honig’s novel is an example of secondary actualization, when a fiction text constructed under the influence of the media begins to be perceived as a non-fiction model, becoming a kind of simulacrum of reality. | 2013 | The paper draws comparisons between the stages in the history of the English language developing in the multilingual environment and its status of a macromediator in the modern world. The research is based on two fundamental methods: the comparative historical method that assists in observing the development of English in the diachronic perspective and its co-existence with other languages in anisotropic linguistic situation of that time and the dialectical one directed at identifying such contradicting directions of the language system evolution as integration and disintegration, standardization and individualization, centrism and acentrism. The evolution of classifying English language origin (Teutonic group in the 17th and 18th centuries, Anglofrisian group in the 19th century and West Germanic group in the 20th century) is rooted in the changes of intralinguistic nature caused by a range of extralinguistic factors. On the one hand, island distribution of the language areal, hard accessibility of the territory, and therefore their isolation, and on the other hand, attractiveness of this land due to favorable conditions (mild climate, diverse landscape, rich flora and fauna), Christianization, active trade relationships leading to permanent polyglossia of linguistic environment (Celtic, Germanic, Scandinavian dialects, classical and vulgar Latin, various languages of Roman legionaries, French) were the reasons why the English language obtained and has maintained till the present time such peculiar distinctive properties as acentrism, high level of lexical mobility, substantial derivational potential, economy of linguistic means and rather free manipulations with language standards. The latter is also connected with long-term absence of the unified national, political and language center in Britain and mostly marginal usage of the language predominantly in the oral form. The authors also insist on the need to further look into the grammatical structure of the English language throughout its evolution in order to better understand the consequences of the polyglossian environment not only on its vocabulary but also the status constituent. | 2014 | The paper outlines the relativization strategies employed by Eastern Khanty, an endangered underdescribed Finno-Ugric language spoken in Western Siberia. The notion of subordination employed here is confined mainly to morphosyntactic criteria such as clausal embedding and the use of non-finite verb-forms. The approach involves a synchronic analysis of structural patterns and functional-semantic features of relative clauses in the general functional theoretical framework. These syntactic constructions are also considered diachronically revealing the paratactic character of the Khanty complex sentences. The analysis is based on the Khanty narrative corpus, reference-grammars and dictionaries. The paper includes the analysis of morphosyntactic structures coding relative relations and other cases having different morphosyntactic manifestations, but the same underlying cognitive structure. | 2031 | |||||

| 2020 | The article deals with the conception of intertextuality as a category of the text and as a method of the violation of its structure. The paper analyzes the peculiarities and the causes of usage of this stylistic device in the artistic text by the example of the novel by A. Dцblin “Berlin Alexanderplatz”. The key role of intertextuality in the montage technique is elicited and proved in works by authors of the postmodernism period. In the present article it is also taken an attempt to give a clear definition of this linguistic phenomenon and related terms, to mark forms of expression and degrees of markedness of intertextuality on different levels. | 2021 | The article describes two basic strategies of a man’s self-presentation in the virtual discourse: virtual reconstruction of social identity and virtual reconstruction of personal identity. The peculiarities of gaining identity and nomination strategies, as exemplified by open letters presented on special sites, are described. Despite the inherent anonymity and carnivalization of communication process in the virtual discourse allowing transformation using speech masks and visual images, authors of the open letters voluntary refuse anonymity and desire to exhibit “Real Self”, emphasize the value of individuality, save the unique face in the era of total globalization. It is explained by the fact that open letters are ego-texts, bound by the author “Self”, which acts as the center of generating ideas, feelings and actions. It is concluded that the leading strategy for the authors of the open letters in the virtual discourse is virtual reconstruction of personal identity. | 2022 | The research of means verbalizing the modal semantics, and in particular of modal verbs remains urgent in modern linguistics as they express modal values of the possibility and need which are ones of the most important in the cognitive and communicative relation. In its turn, cognitive and communicative needs of society remain variable and that causes semantic function extension of the language means, which are constantly to respond to the needs of society noted above. In this regard the semantics studying of the verb müssen is especially significant. The purpose of the research presented in this article is to reveal specifics and to define the mechanisms of the past and current semantic changes of the verb müssen that have ensured its development as a modal verb according to cognitive and communicative needs of the German society. To that effect the original Old, Middle, Early New and New High German texts were studied. In the selected examples from the given texts by means of the method of semantic interpretation and using the method of contextual analysis the meanings of preterite-present verb müssen functioning as modal verb in the correspondent periods of the development of German language were determined. Due to the consistent usage of the method of comparison and collation in the process of analysis of the meanings their similarities and differences were determined. For more detailed reflection on the transformation development tendency in the semantics of the verb müssen appearing in modal function the methods of mathematical statistics were also used. As a result of the conducted research semantic peculiarities of the verb müssen functioning in various periods of German were specified and the mechanism of the past and current changes is defined. The basic semantic transformation mechanism of the verb müssen into both modal objective and, from Early New High German, into modal subjective semantic is context-induced reinterpretation. | 2024 | The article presents the experience of comparative analysis of phraseological units in the Russian and Chinese languages with the somatic component of the “tooth”. The research analyzed the position of the classic and modern linguistic studies, actualizing the cultural semantization of phraseological units. Analytically described the semantic nests of the collected fund of phraseological units with somatism “tooth” in the Chinese and Russian languages. Carried out a comparison of the shared and unique values of phraseological units. In the Chinese language there are idioms connected with speech activity, with the appearance and facial expressions of a person, reflecting the relationship between people, with a person describing the action of speaking, as well as the unique meanings associated with a book, an article, with durability. The following meanings are established in the Russian language: strength, food, experience, reflection of the person’s negative emotions (resentment, wrath, anger, hatred), the symbolic expression of aggression. It is found that somatism “tooth” in Chinese and Russian phraseological units symbolically replaces the individual elements of the surrounding reality, conditioned by the history of peoples, their religions, customs and traditions, the natural conditions and value systems of the people, and therefore can not be considered identically, which must be taken into account in the process of mastering the language, and in the process of translation. | 2036 | Introduction. The need to modernize the educational process in Russia is undeniable. Modernization of pedagogical professional education involves its adaptation to the changed socio-economic and state-political conditions of Russia’s development and the development of the experience of modernization of the educational sphere accumulated by other countries. In a modern educational organization, information and communication infrastructure is one of the main components of the educational process, which has a wide range of didactic electronic educational resources (ESR) as a practice-oriented tactic for optimizing the educational process. The aim is to identify approaches to improving the efficiency of the educational process based on the use of electronic simulators in the training of future specialists. Material and methods. The main sources of the conceptual design of fundamentally new e-learning resources-educational content, pedagogical tools and innovative forms of its development was the experience of professional training of students of “South Ural State Technical College”, bachelor and master degree students of Professional Pedagogical Institute of Russian State Vocational Pedagogical University in the direction of training 44.04.44 Vocational training in the framework of the specialty “Information Security Management in Professional Educational Institutions”; the process of integrative involvement of employers in the development of electronic media simulators; practical experience of forming practice-oriented professional competences of students. The main methods of research are theoretical analysis of the published material on the integration of the implementation of the ESM-ensure high-quality implementation of the regulations of the federal state educational standards 3 ++ for professional training of bachelors and undergraduates. Results and discussion. We have analyzed the materials of publications on the problem of bringing professional education to the modern needs of the labor market, the main difficulties of which are associated with its rather complex internal semantics, including several significant levels of hierarchy and connections between different types of very fragmented information that is not acceptable enough for making effective decisions, including in the conditions of forced use of distance learning. From the standpoint of reliability theory, it is almost impossible to hope for encouraging results without a scientifically-based approach to development within the framework of qualimetric digitalization based on the use of resources from various content platforms and cross-platform ERM templates. A special role in the light of the often forced use of distance learning belongs to such pedagogical tools as an electronic simulator (ES), designed for the interrelated performance of three main functions-diagnostic, training, and educational-when working out practical skills of students, forming their skills of motor-reflex and cognitive actions in difficult situations, understanding the essence of the processes and their mutual dependence. Implementation on the basis of CodeRunner plugin (V3.3.0) for Moodle multiplayer FLOOR in the provision of quality of formation of universal and professional competencies of vocational education students in these areas has allowed to reveal that the use of ES contributes to the growth of educational achievements of students, at least 15 %, which, in turn, affects the increase of the level (degree) of the formation of their competence, predetermining improving the efficiency of the educational process, improvement of its constituent elements. Thus in addition to increasing the average educational achievements of students still recorded an increase of 18 % and median characteristics, then there is a corresponding decrease in the proportion of students with high handles in replies to questions of control tests. Effective modernization of the educational process of pedagogical professional education, in our opinion, largely depends on the integrative implementation of the use of innovative platforms of various architectures and cross-platform templates of EOR-educational content of pedagogical tools, based within the framework of the modern teaching paradigm on the conceptual provisions and methods of pedagogy, measurements, mathematical modeling and scientific and analytical statistics of the qualimetric approach. The article analyzes the trends in the use of electronic educational resources (EER) to improve the practice-oriented component of the component of professional education. One of the directions in the light of often forced distance learning is the use of media content of electronic simulators (ES), designed to form the skills of motor-reflex and cognitive actions in complex situations, understanding the essence of the processes on the basis of the interrelated performance of three main functions-diagnostic, training, educational in the development of practical skills of students. Conclusion. | 2037 | The article is devoted to the role of pronunciation in teaching French. Attention is focused on prosodic factors that play an important role in the process of understanding a statement. Decoding of verbal communication takes place at the intellectual, linguistic, emotional and relational levels. The interlocutors perceive not only individual words, but also the tone of the utterance. Intonationally transmitted information allows you to understand the deep meaning of the utterance and its components. The purpose of the study is to determine the place of the phonetic component in the methodology of teaching a foreign language. The following research methods are used in the work: analysis of pedagogical, methodological, linguistic literature and the work experience of Russian and foreign phonetists; the method of scientific description; synthesis and generalization of their own practice of teaching French at the university. Many modern researchers in the field of foreign language teaching methods are supporters of communicative learning, leading to a new perception of the role of pronunciation, and awareness of the importance of intonation parameters of speech. The effectiveness of teaching the French language is increased with the use of special exercises for practicing prosodic phenomena, in which the phonosemantic approach appeals to sound matter and contributes to the formation of foreign language pronunciation skills. The result is the development of exercises based on the analysis of traditional and modern didactic principles. It is proposed to practice pronunciation skills in order to correct oral speech according to the following parameters: intonation and rhythm, intensity of articulation, phonetic environment. The effectiveness of training at the segment level increases with the use of exercises based on the principle of “from simple to complex”. The suprasegmental level, which implies normative stress, correct melody, rhythm, and pauses, also plays a significant role in mastering the articulation base of the language being studied. Only the complex perception of the above phonetic phenomena leads to the assimilation of the articulatory base of a foreign language. Thus, students need to master phonetic and phonological skills, since their insufficient formation will have negative consequences for the entire language learning process. | 2048 | Introduction. The article considers the image of St. Petersburg in the lyrics of Ivan Elagin, one of the prominent representatives of the second wave of emigration. The objectives of the study are: to trace the development of the image in its evolution, to fix the “common places” of St. Petersburg poetics, at the same time to note the author’s personal contribution to the development of the theme in conditions of emigration. Material and methods. The research methodology involves the interpretation of poetic texts based on theoretical and literary concepts (acmeism, literary tradition, poetry of the diaspora and the metropolis, etc.). Results and discussion. The image of St. Petersburg in the literature of the Russian abroad has repeatedly become the subject of scientific research, but the lyrics of Ivan Elagin have not yet attracted the close attention of literary scholars in interpreting the theme of St. Petersburg from acmeistic positions. We considered a number of his poems as a vivid example of following the precepts of acmeism in conditions of emigration, although the avant-garde element is no less important in the lyrics of Elagin. But in the image of the city on the Neva, the poet deliberately focuses on the poetics of acmeism, as evidenced by numerous allusions and thematic exchanges with senior acmeists – N. Gumilev, A. Akhmatova, O. Mandelstam. Conclusion. The lyrical embodiment of the image of St. Petersburg by Ivan Elagin is dictated by his acmeistic orientation and the desire to write his name in a line of his own poetic acmeist teachers. St. Petersburg of Ivan Elagin actualizes the general settings for the “St. Petersburg text”, but, in addition, demonstrates the emigrant specificity in interpreting the image of Northern Palmyra. The dominant feature of the image is its mortality, striving for “beyond”, the reflection in it of existential longing and nostalgia – the eternal “companions” of the exiled poet.
