The increase of humanity’s technological capabilities is accompanied by the increase of our dependence on those capabilities. High technologies (information technology, nanotechnology and biotechnology) show the fragility and vulnerability of the person in front of them as generated power. Hi-Hume are aimed at manipulating individual and mass consciousness. | 4336 | Introduction. The paper focuses on the main term formation processes in the Russian language based on the field of oil and oil products desulfurization. Such features of the studied filed as low exploration degree and absence of term pattern bring this study up-to-date. Taking into account that the removal of sulfur improves the quality of oil and its derivatives, desulfurisation of crude oil and oil products is a strategic pathway not only for Russia, but also for other countries that extract and refine oil. A more complete understanding of the term formation processes has a positive impact on the development of the Russian language scientific worldview, and also enhances the professional qualities of Russian translators. Aim and objectives. The aim of current paper is to regulate selected terms of the previously unexplored oil and oil products desulfurization field according to the principle of term formation. This research is useful not only for specialists in this field, but also for translators working in the chosen sphere. Material and methods. The material for research is The Basic Terms in Oil and Gas Processing: A Brief Reference Book by G. Tarakanov and Transformations of Sulfur Compounds and Aromatic Hydrocarbons of Oils Diesel Fractions in the Processes of Oxidative Desulfurization by E. Krivtsov. Resuls and discussion. Basic word formation processes of the national Russian language, terminologization, and transterminization are widely-used at the level of the original vocabulary in the studied terminology sphere. The term formation with the adaptation of foreign language inclusions also occurs at the same level. The formation of terms based on the method of calquing belongs to the junction of the borrowed and original vocabulary. The Russian language is able to transcribe foreign terms, and its alphabetic system determines its ability to transliteration. Conclusion. Term formation processes in the Russian terminology of the “Desulphurization of oils and oil products” sphere on the basis of original vocabulary is more motivated than on the basis of borrowed. However, in the studied term system, there is a high tendency to adapt foreign-language inclusions, mainly Greek and Latin, which is caused by the medieval tradition to assign chemical elements names in Latin. | 4347 | Introduction. The concept education is one of the most significant in the conceptual sphere of modern society, as evidenced by the unflagging interest in this mental-linguistic universalism both at the level of the national conceptual sphere and at the level of individual discourses and discursive practices. In the online diaspora discourse, the representation of the concept education acquires vivid features, since the analysis of the Internet communication of the representatives of the Russian diaspora in China reflects a special variant of the Russian linguistic culture oriented to the Chinese culture, which is due to the novelty and relevance of this research. Aim and objectives. The purpose of this article is to describe the specifics of representation of the concept education in network discourse of the Russian-speaking diaspora of China, based on the analysis of its inolinguistic cultural substrate. Material and methods. More than 10,000 texts of Internet communication of members of the Russian-speaking diaspora community in China, containing the name of the analyzed concept and its other lexical representatives, became the material of the study. In addition to the methodological tools of interlinguoculturology and lexical semantics, the analysis uses techniques of quantitative, contextual and discourse analysis. Results and discussion. As the analysis has shown, among the components of the inolinguistic cultural substrate of the concept education, the following lexical units of Chinese characteristic of the Russian-Chinese language environment are of the greatest interest: лаоши 715 (老师138), вайцзяо 138 (外教 40), сюешен/сюэшен 5 (学生 112), сюэюань 2 (学院 64). Conclusions were made about the ambiguity of the definition of the concept сюэюань due to the ambiguity and multivariance of its translation, leading to disputes about the correctness of the classification of higher education institutions in China; about the exceptionally positive connotation of the xenonym вайцзяо, the ambivalent connotation of the lexemes лаоши and сюэюань, as well as predominantly negative – the lexical unit сю- ешен; the identification of oneself by Russian teachers from лаоши and вайцзяо without the need to translate Chinese equivalents into Russian in connection with full acceptance of this professional role and status as respected and honorable in Chinese society and culture. Conclusion. The network discourse of the Russian-speaking diaspora in China is distinguished by a certain set of xenonyms that express the concept education. These lexemes are characterized by a special cultural value and relevance, and their analysis indicates a strong influence of the foreign language environment on the perception of information by representatives of the diaspora community, self-identification in accordance with the social and professional statuses adopted in the Chinese tradition, as well as a more expressive expression of emotions and assessments using the foreign word. | 4348 | Introduction. The use of poetic texts as didactic materials is an effective method of teaching Russian as a foreign language. This study aims to describe the methodological and linguistic aspects of interpreting perceptual semantics in poetic works by Marina Tsvetaeva. The interpretation of literary works in perceptual terms facilitates understanding these works’ messages and provides an opportunity for studying and applying units with the meaning of perception in communicative practice. Material and methods. The material for the study was poems by Marina Tsvetaeva with a pronounced semantics of perception (270 poems, 547 contexts). The main research methods were the linguo-stylistic analysis of the texts, the conceptual and semantic analysis of the keywords, and a linguocultural commentary. Results and discussion. When selecting poems for lessons in a foreign-language audience, it is essential to take into account the students’ cognitive interest, the principle of accessibility, and the principle of the methodological value of the poems for studying. When interpreting texts and analyzing perceptual images, foreign students encounter lexical, grammatical, stylistic, and linguocultorological difficulties. By successfully overcoming the difficulties, students perceive the messages and the emotional tonalities of the poems. The titles of certain poems set “perceptual dominants” conceptually expressed in the further semantic development of the text (“V Sumerkakh” [At Dusk], “Luch Serebristyy” [Ray of Silver], “Nochnye Shepota: Shelka . . .” [Night Whispers: Silk . . .], etc.). Tasks on the analysis of perceptual images and the linguo-poetic analysis of poems must be formulated in accordance with the main stages of the lesson. The actualization of skills and abilities involves the use of individual perceptual experience and information available to students about literary texts. Pre-reading tasks aim to capture the readers’ interest and encourage them to be creative (conceptual guess and comparison). Reading tasks aim to analyze the means of expressing perceptual images at the lexical, grammatical, and stylistic levels of the poem. The focus is on keywords with perceptual semantics. Post-reading tasks aim to generalize and interpret the material. Conclusion. The linguo-stylistic analysis of poems by Marina Tsvetaeva in terms of perception allows foreign students to present one of the options for interpreting the texts using their linguistic and sensory experience. The students understand the functions perceptual units perform, observe the implementation of direct and figurative meanings of keywords, and see how the author expresses her intention at all the levels of the texts. The results of the research showed that political discourse is a very productive sphere for the creation of national precedential phenomena. As a rule, precedential phenomena in political discourse are very specific. Their source can be found either in the sphere of politics or historic events of the nation. Precedential phenomena in political discourse usually have a short life span. There types are precedential texts, names and expressions. While translating national precedential phenomena, interpreters prefer to use concrete definition, equivalents or analogues of phraseological units. Sometimes precedential phenomena are lost in translation. Conclusion. So national precedential phenomena represent an important characteristic of political discourse. They serve as a link between the author and the recipient, make the speech more vivid and emotional and influence the audience in a specific way. But their national peculiarities often impede the translation process. Anyway some knowledge of cultural sources is necessary for correct interpretation and understanding of precedential phenomena.
