System of Teaching Tasks on Physics for Basic School Pupils // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2006. Issue 3 (54). P. 22-27

The paper presents the method of problem-active approach to teaching physics in school, which is performed on the basis of system of tasks. The method gives the possibility to make the teaching more active, to develop students, to give deep and lasting knowledge on the subject. The method is based on introducing into teaching special types of tasks: a task – trajectory, a task – dotted line, a task – vector, the performance of which helps to involve students in independent search for new information, skills and competences. Students’ activity gradually becomes more and more independent. The paper is meant for physics teachers, would-be teachers.

New Approaches to Experimental Training of a Teacher of Physics // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2006. Issue 3 (54). P. 69-74

The process of modernization of school education calls for changes in the sphere of training teachers. To solve this problem will be possible on the basis of a new model of pedagogic training, which will include new contents of students’ education, effective ways of training would-be teachers, who can work under changing conditions. The method of training physics teachers, suggested here, makes use of a laboratory practical work for forming students’ experimental, as well as methodical skills. The given paper presents a new approach to training would-be physics teachers on the basis of such notions as: system, level, projecting the contents of school activity .The given method is put into practice in school and out- of-school students’ activity while fulfilling laboratory practical work in physics.

TRAINING STUDENTS TO ORGANIZATION OF SCHOOLCHILDREN’S RESEARCH ACTIVITY AT PHYSICS CLASSES // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2014. Issue 11 (152). P. 182-186

The authors determined the need for special training of future teachers of physics to the organization of research activity of schoolchildren. This need is due to the new requirements of the school standard in which many research activities are laid as the results of studying. It includes problem statement, the search for problem solving, planning and execution of research activitiy to solve the problem. In accordance with the requirements of the school the standard of pedagogical university graduate training has also changed. In this paper we propose a model to prepare students for the guidance of the pupils’ research works, teaching them to the research activities that meet the requirements of the new standard. The ways to implementation of the model are shown, the results of its use, which speak for the effectiveness of training of bachelors and masters are presented.

PROPAEDEUTIC COURSE IN PHYSICS FOR THE 5–6 CLASS AS A MEANS OF DEVELOPMENT OF INTEREST IN THE SUBJECT AND A PRACTICAL COMPONENT // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 4 (181). P. 57-63

The article reflects the problem of science education, which manifest themselves in school and in higher school. In particular, these problems are common to the schools and universities of Tomsk. The problems are manifested by the facts: poor results at final exams in school (average point at the final examination in physics is not high, for Tomsk it is slightly higher than in Russia in whole); weak natural-science preparation of pupils identified in the serious study; lowering of the pass mark for the students of technical faculties of leading universities of Tomsk. In addition, in the above studies was found low practical and technical preparation of students, which affects the training of engineers. The authors analyzed the proposals to solve the manifested problems. Part of the proposals concerns the introduction of a propaedeutic course of natural-science for pupils of 5–6 classes. The authors believe that such training is more effective in the study of the course, built on the basis of the most important natural subject – physics, rather than on the basis of integrated natural sciences course. Propaedeutic study of the subject, built in a certain way, contributed to the appearance of the motivation to study it. The process of such training is presented as an elective course (shows the program and, in part, the ways of working with students), where students are introduced to the great discoveries and the engineering, and consumer applications of these discoveries. The course is built on the basis of a joint discussion of the problems, updating of knowledge of students about the scientists and the benefits of their discoveries, the organization of observations and execution of simple model experiments. As a result, students gain some practical, technological and information skills. The article shows the positive results of the students, the appearance of their motivation to study physics.

Keywords: problems of science education, strengthening of practical training of students, development of interest in physics, elective course for students of grades 5–6
