A health poster is one of the most popular educational tools for the mass, therefore it is necessary to pay attention to linguistic and extralinguistic aspects of poster which have a big impact on people. The aim of the article is to identify the main strategies and tactics used in COVID-19 posters to prevent the infection, and to compare verbal and visual features of a health poster in Russian and English. The material for the study is health posters aimed at COVID-19 prevention in the English and Russian languages, posted on the official websites of various medical and healthcare organizations. The main method used in the study is multimodal discourse analysis. The article presents a comprehensive analysis of the main aspects of verbal and nonverbal impact in COVID-19 posters in English and Russian. Using multimodal discourse analysis, we distinguished the main strategies and tactics of COVID-19 posters impact, as well as their common and distinctive features in English and Russian. The main strategies used in the COVID-19 poster include the draw attention strategy, the informing strategy, the call for protection strategy, and the prohibition strategy. There are four strategies of the COVID-19 poster to impact the audience. Each strategy implements particular tactics using language, images, composition and other features. Moreover, there are some differences in posters in English and Russian from a cultural point of view, which can be explained by different context of communication between the two cultures, according to E. | 4556 | The ways of formation and organization of the inner world of a man may be observed at the level of spiritual contents of a man where a dialectic unity of soul and consciousness is revealed. The ways of formation and organization of the inner world of a man of a social level is actualized in a «system world». Here different forms of spirituality and non-spirituality are revealed. The historical experience shows that the carnation people is possible not only in gene engineering, but also by the social reorganization, by the souliessness of people in the capitalist society of general consumption. This very problem caused the environmental disaster of the planet. It was settled that the spirit of a man is a form of synthesis, it binds together the highest senses of the spiritual life and the consciousness of a man. It was found that one-sided development of one of the poles of the spirit leads to the formation of soulless highbrows on the one hand and senseless crowds of people living by instincts, archetypes of individual collective unconsciousness (the experience of fascism and stalinism) on the other. A man’s soul in predominant of the spiritual life of a man, being the main to determine the consciousness of a man. This constitutes the freshness of the work. | 4565 | The article is devoted to the one of the last plays by E. L. Shvarts “A Story of a Young Couple”). It is devoted to the problem of mutual understanding of loving people, their readiness to build relationship in a family and accept a compromise. The motive “learner-teacher” plays an essential role in the logic of the play. This motive is developing during the act of the play and is linking plotlines of different characters. This motive is shown on several levels: verbal, situational and on the level of the system of characters. The author of the article has tried to analyse the semantic spectrum of the motive. In the post-war time the loss of kin relations is filled up with family creation that is with clan creation. It distinguishes the work of E. L. | 4566 | Studies in the field of pedagogy, psychology and techniques of teaching mathematics show that the success of future mathematics teachers largely depends on how much they possess the psychological and pedagogical knowledge of the patterns of students’ mental (intellectual and personal) development they possess and the ability to apply this knowledge. In particular, knowledge of the basics of intellectual upbringing of students can help in solving the problems of modern school mathematics education. Such a problem statement of vocational training of future mathematics teachers involves the organization of training, in which psychological, didactic, methodological and mathematical knowledge is integrated, that is a psychodynamic approach to learning is implemented. The Department of Mathematics, Theory and Methods of Teaching Mathematics of Tomsk State Pedagogical University developed one of the ways for implementing this approach. It includes the development and integration of such disciplines as “Methods of Teaching Mathematics”, “Intellectual Upbringing”, “Modern Models for Teaching Mathematics”, “Developing Technologies in Teaching Mathematics” and other. The integration is carried out through the implementation of the following psychological and pedagogical requirements: the knowledge of conceptual theories of training, foundations of intellectual upbringing in particular; formation of a reflexive experience; formation of text competence; the development of an open cognitive position. The main educational strategy is the project activity strategy through case studies, as well as the extensive use of contextual learning. To implement this strategy, various types of learning activities are used that update the psychological, pedagogical and methodological knowledge of the future mathematics teachers about certain cognitive processes, create conditions for students to learn to identify and compare texts with certain psychodidactic functions, to create the author’s text in accordance with the psychological and pedagogical requirements for modern education. | 4567 | The article deals with the problem of «concept» and «anticoncept» relations by the example of concepts TRADITION and FASHION in the English world picture. Concept and anticoncept are interrelated and interconnected. The relations between them and a metaconcept domain are similar to those of hyponyms and a hyperonym but not absolutely identical. Therefore, concept and anticoncept relations shouldn’t be described in terms of antonymy, because these two mental representations are not simply contrasted to each other. They have integrative and distinctive features that can be restored by different means, including association experiment. A study of association links can help in modeling the structure of the concept. The resulting verbal associations reflect the conceptual signs of the concepts TRADITION and FASHION, indicate a deep rootedness in the consciousness of the English cultural stereotypes which are a figurative representation of what is traditional and what is fashionable. The full spectrum of obtained associations allows to speak about the specifics of the conceptual connections in the consciousness of English-speakers. On the basis of the association experiment data analysis, it is proposed to treat concepts TRADITION and FASHION as concept and anticoncept correspondingly and to determine them as interrelated and interconnected oppositions included in the same metaconcept domain VALUES and forming its poles. | 4579 | An important instrument of the increase of educational activity is its logistization. In the article we offer a logistic model, where an educational institution is considered as a micro-logistic system, and educational activity – as a set of various flows of useful resources, which interact, influence each other, depend upon the current market conditions and evolve, corresponding to the change of inner and outer conditions. Using the logistic approach, we bring out the research of structure of the basic element of the system – the flow of human resources. The flow is represented as a certain function, having two components: scalar W0– the concrete appearance of useful resources and vector 0 W (t,z) – the orientation of the flow in space (z) and time (t). Thus, the flow is W =W0 ⋅W0(t,z). The special attention is paid to the process of forming the human resources flow and to its providing components. We show that in an educational establishment the educational activity results the conversion of the input flow of human resources (claimers for getting some educational services) into the output flow (specialists of various levels). Besides, for stable functioning of the conversion process the educational establishment requires the following vector components: material, financial, informational, of power (energetic), of manpower (personnel) and of service. We work out the mathematical expressions, describing this process. They give us the opportunity to define the sources of expenses and to optimize the total costs in order to minimize them. | 4581 | Introduction. The idea of Superman was more relevant than ever at the turn of the last Millennium. Echoes of thoughts about the existence of a “special” omnipotent person of the new era are found in the philosophical concept of transhumanism, aimed at improving the quality and prolonging the life span, as well as at preventing aging and death. The concept of transhumanism is considered not only as a philosophical concept, but also as a world organization. The ideas of transhumanism are embodied in texts dedicated to prolonging the life and preserving the youth of a person, including in Internet texts. With the wide spread of media in all spheres of life, the development of linguistics has reached a new stage – a new branch called media linguistics has been born. The object of the analysis of the new direction is one of the key concepts of media linguistics – an Internet blog, which is an Internet genre, which is a network space of a certain topic and contains relevant information content (texts, images, multimedia). The chosen model of blog analysis as an Internet genre highlights media, pragmatic, structural-semantic, and stylistic-language parameters. As part of the analysis of this work, the stylistic and linguistic features of the English-language blog “SkinTour” are: specific names of articles in the form of rhetorical questions, characteristic lexical units (medical procedures), the vocabulary used for nominating cosmetics themselves; acronyms, antonyms, the degree of comparison of adjectives. Material and methods. The material basis of the research was the author’s research corpus of texts of the Englishlanguage blog “SkinTour”, from which 50 authentic articles were selected. In the theoretical part of the study, the concepts of transhumanism, blogging and Internet genre are described; the analysis of the material base allowed to synthesize the obtained segments of scientific facts and knowledge accumulated by previous generations and contemporaries; the parameters of the analysis were systematized. In the practical part of the work, the lexical and grammatical content of the texts of the English-language transhumanist blog “SkinTour” is analyzed. The methodological basis of the work is a systematic approach, the following General scientific methods are implemented: analysis, synthesis, induction, generalization (methods of logic); quantitative methods, grouping method (methods of statistics); method of component analysis (methods of structural linguistics). Results and discussion. Due to the wide spread of media in a wide variety of areas of human activity, there is an increase in the number of products of the “network space”, one of which is the Internet blog (hereinafter: blog). The vast majority (about 90 %) analyzed English-speaking blogs tagged “Anti-aging” (more than 500) contains in the title the tag “Skin” and focused mainly on the female half of the population that seeks to care for problem skin. The English-language transhumanist blog “SkinTour” is also aimed at a female audience, containing thousands of articles from an expert in the field of medicine. In the process of analysis, media, pragmatic, structural-semantic and stylisticlanguage parameters of a blog as an Internet genre are highlighted. As part of the analysis of stylistic and language parameters, the content of the English-language transhumanist blog “SkinTour” is represented by the following features: lexical features: article titles in the form of rhetorical questions; frequent use of terms denoting medical procedures and cosmetics; acronyms; antonyms; grammatical features: the degree of comparison of adjectives. Conclusion. The English language of blogs is an original reflection of the modern virtual world. Due to the variety of language materials in the Internet space, medialinguistics is a large field for linguistic research. Heterogeneity of texts in the media sphere is the key to the diversity of analysis of transhumanistic blogs. The practice of studying texts of Internet genres should be carried out in order to fix new lexical, grammatical, stylistic and other features of the media repertoire of the English language. | 4598 | Introduction. This paper discusses the features of the use and semantics evaluation of verbs from the microfield “regular consumption of alcohol in large quantities” (one of the microfields that make up the semantic field “binge drinking”). The goal is to analyze the evaluation value of the verbs of the selected microfield. Material and methods. The article is written on the material of the National Corpus of the Russian Language and various explanatory dictionaries. The methods of continuous sampling, contextual and definitional analysis were used. Results and discussion. The evaluative component of the verb «пить» ‘drink’ (the core lexeme of the microfield) can be reconstructed only from the surrounding context, the range of evaluative values of this verb is very wide. The verb “употреблять” ‘use’ and“злоупотреблять” ‘abuse’ have a negative rational assessment (as a rule, these verbs do not have an emotional assessment). The verbs “пить” ‘drink’ and the expression “глушить водку” ‘to hit vodka hard’ have a negative rational and a conflicting emotional assessment (sympathy). Within the selected microfield, a group of verbs of argot origin is distinguished: they are characterized by a common seme ‘excessiveness’ and a similar contextual environment. Another separate group is composed by verbs with the common potential semes ‘animal’ and ‘loss of human appearance’. These semes are often actualized with the surrounding context. Conclusion. The lexical meaning of the verbs of the selected microfield can contain various evaluative components. Some verbs express both rational and emotional judgment. New paradigmatic connections are formed within the microfield and some verbs acquire interesting syntactic features. Keywords: Russian language, semantic field, binge drinking, alcohol | 1855 | |||||
| 4599 | Introduction. One of the pressing problems of modern preschool education is the mathematical education of children, which in turn is the foundation for the further development of mathematical training of preschoolers. This problem directly stems mainly from the lack of professional knowledge among educators and preschool education programs, in particular, developing cognitive interest in teaching mathematics to senior preschoolers. The aim of the research is to develop and test a program for the development of cognitive interest in children in the process of teaching mathematics in preschool institutions. Material and methods. To determine the level of development of cognitive interest in teaching mathematics in senior preschoolers, a set of diagnostic methods was selected: L. N. Prokhorov’s method for studying the attitude of children to cognitive activity; Yu. A. Afonkin’s methodology “Child in the classroom” for studying the behavior of children in the classroom with mathematical content; a survey of parents “Organization of cognitive activity of preschool children at home” was conducted to identify the degree of participation of parents in the cognitive activity of the child and maintaining his interest. The empirical base of the study was formed by taking a continuous sample in one of the preschool institutions in the city of Chistopol: the municipal budgetary preschool educational institution “Kindergarten of general developmental type No. 6 “Zhemchuzhinka”” of the Chistopol municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan. Results and discussion. The problem of developing cognitive interest in senior preschool children is a unique period of development of a child’s personality, since during this period children form an idea of the world around them, intensive physical and mental development occurs. One of the facets of its development is cognitive interest. During the experimental study, it was revealed: 1. A positive change in the mathematical development of children begins with their experience with real objects or objects that have quantitative or qualitative properties, such as different colors, sizes and shapes, when performing arithmetic or logical operations with numbers. 2. Teaching mathematics through games may appeal to preschoolers who find mathematics inaccessible and tedious. Learning through games helps children understand that understanding mathematical patterns and relationships can be a pleasant and motivating activity. Based on the analysis of the six-step theory of teaching mathematics by Zoltan Dienes, an experimental study was conducted on the development and testing of the psychological and pedagogical program “Magic Figures” for the development of cognitive interest in teaching mathematics to older preschoolers. In the course of conducting an experimental study to determine the level of development of cognitive interest in teaching mathematics to older preschoolers using a set of diagnostic techniques, we made the following conclusions: the program increased the motivation of children to participate in math classes; the program strengthens the students’ conviction of the need to study mathematics at preschool age; the program encourages students to take a responsible approach to their professional development; the program increases students’ confidence in learning mathematics; The program provides educators with appropriate tools and facilities for teaching mathematics in preschool institutions. Conclusion. In the course of the implementation of the psychological and pedagogical program “Magic Figures”, the development of cognitive interest in teaching mathematics among older preschoolers, there is a positive trend in the mathematical training of both educators and preschool children. Mathematical ability is an essential skill needed in everyday life. Keywords: mathematical training, educators, preschool education, cognitive interest | 1855 | |||||
| 4600 | In this article an attempt is made to correlate an average number of thunderstorm days per annum with an average number of lightning discharges to the ground for each landscape. This is based on comparing visual lightning observations aver¬age multiannual values of thunderstorm activity and the data of a density of lightning discharges to the ground, obtained with a multistation system locating thunderbolts to the ground. The results can be use for estimation of dangerous from thunderstorm in regions without instrumental lightning observations | 1854 | |||||
