Kositskaya F.L. FASHION CATALOGUE AS A CREOLIZED TEXT. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2014. Issue 10 (151). P. 153-156

The article deals with creolized texts consisting of verbal and nonverbal (paragraphemic) elements. With a change of the scientific paradigm studying of a language with its links with other semiotic systems, including non-verbal code becomes very topical. The main method of creolization of a text is to combine a verbal means and an image into a coherent whole linguo-visual formation. A fashion catalogue is a typical creolized text created by the model of: a verbal text is equal to an image. That means that it is primarily created as a creolized text where the verbal and the visual components are specially selected for their interaction. A photographic image for fashion catalogue clients (readers) has a greater degree of significance, than a verbal (written) text. Here colour plays a special role, its psychological language creates a mood, evokes emotions and has symbolic meanings.

Polyakova N.V. OBJECTIVATION OF WAYS OF WORLDLY SPACE STRUCTURING IN THE SELKUP AND RUSSIAN LANGUAGES. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 3 (180). P. 47-50

Each ethnos has its own ideas of the world and the system of worldly space structuring that allows orienting in space. The idea of the three-part structure of the world including the Upper, Middle and Lower Worlds is common for many nations as well as the idea of existence of vertical and horizontal projections of the universe. In mythology the Upper World is connected with the highest gods. It is located over people. The Middle World is the place inhabited by people and animals. The Lower World is associated with the world of evil spirits and the dead. It is located under the ground or water. Ethnographic and linguistic material demonstrates coexistence of vertical and horizontal world projections in the Selkup worldview and presence of only the vertical world projection in the Russian one. The Middle World being according to the ancient beliefs the world for people and animals is the most significantly objectivized both in the Selkup and the Russian languages. The analysis of linguistic and ethnographic material allowed revealing essential differences in the Selkup and Russian ways of worldly space structuring. The circular type of space structuring is typical for the Russian ethnos as the representative of the farming culture. There is the house and householding buildings on the fenced territory in the center of the Russian worldly space, the next concentric circle includes the settlement, the second concentric circle consists of the fields and pastures having an important economic value, the third concentric circle includes forest grounds, the fourth is represented by the distant spaces. People feel the most familiar with the next and the second concentric circles and less familiar with the third and fourth concentric circles. The representatives of the Selkup ethnos orient in surrounding space relying on focal points by specification of their arrangement relative to each other. The focal points are a river, a forest and a house.

Petrochenko L.A. YIDDISH LANGUAGE BORROWINGS IN MODERN ENGLISH. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 10 (187). P. 107-111

Yiddish, the language of Ashkenazic Jews, arose about ten centuries ago as a result of contact with various dialects of Medieval German. Of all the Germanic languages, Yiddish looks least Germanic: it uses a Hebrew alphabet and is read from right to left, and its grammar and lexicon have undergone considerable influence not only from Hebrew and Aramaic, but also from various Slavic languages. Between 1890 and 1920 millions of Jews from Central and Eastern Europe boarded ships for America. They were fleeing the tragic events that shook the Old World. So Yiddish language and culture began its journey on a new continent. Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, and Philadelphia were among the cities where Yiddish theaters, newspapers, and book publishers thrived. A Yiddish vaudeville sprang up, featuring performers who could switch in the blink of an eye from dances and funny jokes to sentimental songs. The heart of the culture lay in New York, where Second Avenue acquired the nickname “the Yiddish Broadway.” Yiddish words were quick to enrich American English - words like bagel, bupkes, chutzpah, klutz, schlemiel, schlep, schmuck, tchotchke, etc. Many words and phrases from Yiddish you can encounter today in American books, magazines, newspapers; or hear on television or radio, in movies or nightclubs; or may overhear on the street in many cities in the United States. The borrowings from Yiddish include specific ethnic and religious terms, words of conversational speech, pejorative words and terms of Jewish cuisine.

Introduction. Nowadays the sphere of construction engineering is one of the fast-developing fields. Owing to the advanced construction technology development new words appear in the Russian language. The purpose of the article is to discover and describe the latest professional borrowings related to the field of innovative construction technologies and introduced into Russian in the 21st century. The objectives of the paper are the material selection, the definition of the sources and time of borrowings being analyzed, and creating the classification of foreign terminological units. Material and methods. The material for the study is the latest borrowings in the sphere of construction engineering appeared in the Russian language in the 21st century and used in the professional discourse (web-sites for construction professionals). The basis of the methodology lies in the descriptive and comparative methods. Results and discussion. The article contains a short theoretical overview of borrowings in Russian. The study shows that most of the terminological units denoting advanced construction technologies are borrowed from other languages with the technology itself. The major part of the given terminological units is borrowed from English and represents loanwords, calques and partial calques. Moreover, with the purpose of stating the time of borrowings all terminological units were searched for in the National Corpus of the Russian Language. It appeared that the majority of terms are not recorded either in the National Corpus of the Russian Language or in terminological dictionaries. Conclusion. Modern construction vocabulary of the 21st century is represented mostly by anglicisms among which there are lexical and semantic borrowings (calques and partial calques). The article has analyzed terminological units not previously recorded in either terminological dictionaries or National Corpus of the Russian Language. The practical value enables to use the article materials for academic and lexicographical purposes.

Gnezdilova N.S., Maletina L.V. FORMATION OF LINGUISTIC COMPETENCE BASED ON A SET OF EXERCISES IN A TEXTBOOK ON RUSSIAN AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2021. Issue 5 (217). P. 18-25

Introduction. The article is devoted to the methodological analysis of the complex of conditional speech exercises and their typology in textbooks on Russian as a foreign language for students who begin to study Russian at the elementary level. The paper deals with the problem of sufficiency / insufficiency of speech exercises for the formation of linguistic competence as an important component of intercultural communicative competence. As an object, a textbook on Russian as a foreign language is considered as the main component of the educational and methodological complex, which sets out the content of speech material and ways of mastering it through a system of exercises. The subject of this research is a methodological analysis of the typology of exercises as part of the complex in the “Family” section of textbooks on Russian as a foreign language (elementary level) “Let’s go!” (authors S. Chernyshov and A. Chernyshova), “Russian season” (authors M. M. Nakhibina, V. E. Antonova, V. E. Zhaboklitskaya, I. I. Kurlova, O. V. Smirnova, A. A. Tolstykh) and “Russian souvenir” (author I. Mozelova). Purpose of the study. To consider the complexes of conditional speech exercises in textbooks of Russian as a foreign language, their typology for the formation of linguistic competence in Russian among foreign students of preparatory faculties of Russian universities. Material and methods. Theoretical and comparative analysis of conditional speech exercises in the content of the “Family” section in textbooks on RFL, taking into account the communicative practice of teaching, made it possible to highlight the features of the types of exercises in each individual textbook. On the basis of a quantitative analysis, their ratio within the complex was determined. Results and discussion. As a result of the study, the types of conditional speech exercises, organized in complexes, are described. Their quantitative ratio is presented on the example of the content of the section on the topic “Family” in the textbooks of the elementary level: “Let’s go”, “Russian season”, “Russian souvenir”. Conclusion. This study is aimed at helping the teacher navigate the choice of a textbook for foreign students at the initial stage of study, depending on their needs and the goals of studying RFL.

Gnatyshina E.A., Belevitin V.A., Gafarova E.A. ELECTRONIC SIMULATORS – AN IMPORTANT RESOURCE MODERNIZATION OF PROFESSIONAL PEDAGOGICAL EDUCATION. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2021. Issue 5 (217). P. 69-77

Introduction. The need to modernize the educational process in Russia is undeniable. Modernization of pedagogical professional education involves its adaptation to the changed socio-economic and state-political conditions of Russia’s development and the development of the experience of modernization of the educational sphere accumulated by other countries. In a modern educational organization, information and communication infrastructure is one of the main components of the educational process, which has a wide range of didactic electronic educational resources (ESR) as a practice-oriented tactic for optimizing the educational process. The aim is to identify approaches to improving the efficiency of the educational process based on the use of electronic simulators in the training of future specialists. Material and methods. The main sources of the conceptual design of fundamentally new e-learning resources-educational content, pedagogical tools and innovative forms of its development was the experience of professional training of students of “South Ural State Technical College”, bachelor and master degree students of Professional Pedagogical Institute of Russian State Vocational Pedagogical University in the direction of training 44.04.44 Vocational training in the framework of the specialty “Information Security Management in Professional Educational Institutions”; the process of integrative involvement of employers in the development of electronic media simulators; practical experience of forming practice-oriented professional competences of students. The main methods of research are theoretical analysis of the published material on the integration of the implementation of the ESM-ensure high-quality implementation of the regulations of the federal state educational standards 3 ++ for professional training of bachelors and undergraduates. Results and discussion. We have analyzed the materials of publications on the problem of bringing professional education to the modern needs of the labor market, the main difficulties of which are associated with its rather complex internal semantics, including several significant levels of hierarchy and connections between different types of very fragmented information that is not acceptable enough for making effective decisions, including in the conditions of forced use of distance learning. From the standpoint of reliability theory, it is almost impossible to hope for encouraging results without a scientifically-based approach to development within the framework of qualimetric digitalization based on the use of resources from various content platforms and cross-platform ERM templates. A special role in the light of the often forced use of distance learning belongs to such pedagogical tools as an electronic simulator (ES), designed for the interrelated performance of three main functions-diagnostic, training, and educational-when working out practical skills of students, forming their skills of motor-reflex and cognitive actions in difficult situations, understanding the essence of the processes and their mutual dependence. Implementation on the basis of CodeRunner plugin (V3.3.0) for Moodle multiplayer FLOOR in the provision of quality of formation of universal and professional competencies of vocational education students in these areas has allowed to reveal that the use of ES contributes to the growth of educational achievements of students, at least 15 %, which, in turn, affects the increase of the level (degree) of the formation of their competence, predetermining improving the efficiency of the educational process, improvement of its constituent elements. Thus in addition to increasing the average educational achievements of students still recorded an increase of 18 % and median characteristics, then there is a corresponding decrease in the proportion of students with high handles in replies to questions of control tests. Effective modernization of the educational process of pedagogical professional education, in our opinion, largely depends on the integrative implementation of the use of innovative platforms of various architectures and cross-platform templates of EOR-educational content of pedagogical tools, based within the framework of the modern teaching paradigm on the conceptual provisions and methods of pedagogy, measurements, mathematical modeling and scientific and analytical statistics of the qualimetric approach. The article analyzes the trends in the use of electronic educational resources (EER) to improve the practice-oriented component of the component of professional education. One of the directions in the light of often forced distance learning is the use of media content of electronic simulators (ES), designed to form the skills of motor-reflex and cognitive actions in complex situations, understanding the essence of the processes on the basis of the interrelated performance of three main functions-diagnostic, training, educational in the development of practical skills of students. Conclusion. The resource capabilities of verifying the variants of content platform architectures and cross-platform templates of such educational tools of EOR as ES, as well as innovative forms of their development and implementation, allow us to hope for encouraging results in finding ways to improve the efficiency of the educational process of professional educational organizations (VET), timely leveling of the contradiction between the requirements of employers of the modern post-industrial society and the level of formation of professional competencies of VET graduates.

Orlova O.V. On the Problem of the Lexical Implementation of «Linguocentrism» of the Conceptual Picture. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2002. Issue 1 (29). P. 9-14

The article is dedicated to the analysis of the verbal representation of I. Brodski's unique language philosophy in the lexical structure of Chapter X in his poem «Gorbunov and Gorchakov». The author traces the means and methods of the lexical implementation of meta-iingual reflection of the poet in the process of realization of the semantic programme of the poetic text. The research carried out by the author of the article enables us to come to the conclusion that a certain system of lexical means implementing the «Linguocentrism» of his conceptual world picture was already formed at an early stage of his creative work.

It is demonstrated that the essence of the philosophical aesthetics of symbolism lies in the knowledge of the world on the basis of the idealistic concept of duality, according to which the world of ideas is considered true, and the real world is recognized as imperfect. The subject of consideration is the specificity of the organization of lexical level units involved in creating images of the lyric hero in the poetical texts of S. Baudelaire and A. Blok. Through the use of lexical-semantic, textological analysis and with reference to the dictionary data it is demonstrated that the rebellious heroes of famous poets perceive life through the tragedy aesthetics of symbolism. The problem of vital searches of lyric heroes Baudelaire and Blok is presented in dynamics and is realized in the context of understanding the philosophical aesthetics of symbolism in general, and also taking into account the characteristics of the author’s worldview. In the comprehension of the problem of life searches of lyric heroes Sh. Baudelaire and A. Blok it is possible to outline both similar and distinctive tendencies. Martseva T.A., Kobenko Y.V. The History of the English Language Origin as a Clue to Understanding its Current Status. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2024. Issue 4 (234). P. 75-83

The paper draws comparisons between the stages in the history of the English language developing in the multilingual environment and its status of a macromediator in the modern world. The research is based on two fundamental methods: the comparative historical method that assists in observing the development of English in the diachronic perspective and its co-existence with other languages in anisotropic linguistic situation of that time and the dialectical one directed at identifying such contradicting directions of the language system evolution as integration and disintegration, standardization and individualization, centrism and acentrism. The evolution of classifying English language origin (Teutonic group in the 17th and 18th centuries, Anglofrisian group in the 19th century and West Germanic group in the 20th century) is rooted in the changes of intralinguistic nature caused by a range of extralinguistic factors. On the one hand, island distribution of the language areal, hard accessibility of the territory, and therefore their isolation, and on the other hand, attractiveness of this land due to favorable conditions (mild climate, diverse landscape, rich flora and fauna), Christianization, active trade relationships leading to permanent polyglossia of linguistic environment (Celtic, Germanic, Scandinavian dialects, classical and vulgar Latin, various languages of Roman legionaries, French) were the reasons why the English language obtained and has maintained till the present time such peculiar distinctive properties as acentrism, high level of lexical mobility, substantial derivational potential, economy of linguistic means and rather free manipulations with language standards. The latter is also connected with long-term absence of the unified national, political and language center in Britain and mostly marginal usage of the language predominantly in the oral form. The authors also insist on the need to further look into the grammatical structure of the English language throughout its evolution in order to better understand the consequences of the polyglossian environment not only on its vocabulary but also the status constituent.

Introduction. In order to increase the effectiveness of the educational process, learning should be deliberate. The introduction of the model of tutor support into the educational process will solve the problem: to teach to learn. The learner becomes independent, with the correct attitude in life and the skill of self-organization. The tutor plays the role of a consultant, teacher, psychologist, coordinator. Aim and objectives. To substantiate the effectiveness of using the model of tutor support for students in the educational process of the secondary vocational education system. Material and methods. The article uses the data of the selective federal statistical observation of the employment of graduates who have received secondary vocational and higher education. A survey of students, graduating groups of the institution of secondary vocational education. Theoretical research methods were used; empirical methods: analysis and conversation. Results and discussion. The modern world is an environment of global instability and dynamic changes in all spheres. Therefore, potential employers highly value not only the professional qualities of their employees, but also social and psychological qualities (Softskills): communication, leadership, team, entrepreneurial skills. Employers note the lack of Softskills competencies among graduates of educational institutions: weak motivation and inconsistency of personal qualities (self-organization, motivation, initiative, responsibility, desire to learn) Among the most significant characteristics, graduates of the secondary vocational education system named: motivation; experience; general impression; professional competencies; ability to learn; IT-competence. According to the results of introspection, they also tended to give a low assessment of their level of development. And they expressed an opinion about the need to pay more attention to the development of personal competencies in the learning process; skills that will allow them to be competitive in the labor market, such as communication skills, personality marketing, time management, etc. In order to solve the basic problem of secondary vocational education: the intellectual, cultural and professional development of a person and the training of qualified workers or employees and mid-level specialists in all main areas of socially useful activity in accordance with the needs of society and the state, as well as meeting the needs of the individual in deepening and expanding education. The feasibility of introducing tutor support into the educational process is considered. The tutor plays the role of a consultant, teacher, psychologist, coordinator. On the basis of individual educational routes, the tutor achieves the formation of a harmonious, socially responsible personality of the student, focused on self-development and self-realization. In the model of tutor support, training is built taking into account the individual characteristics of each student, which allows him to maximize his potential. Conclusion. The model of tutor support should be considered one of the most promising. First, a tutor is a psychologist who helps a student to understand his inner problems, motives, desires, abilities; understand resources and limitations. Achieve a balance of desires and possibilities. Secondly, a tutor as a teacher teaches (forms the ability) independence: to set goals and objectives; identify opportunities and resources; develops the ability to act and the willingness to take responsibility for the decisions made. The third most important component: a tutor is an educator who builds the correct attitude to the world around him and himself; preservation of national identity, respect for the native language, culture and patriotism. The fourth vector of a tutor’s work is career guidance work. The development and movement along an individual learning path requires the tutor to be competent in the field of professional training of his ward.
