Pushkareva I.A., Lomakova A.V. THE WORD-IMAGE “MEMORY” IN M. I. TSVETAEVA’S LYRIC POETRY OF 1920 // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2020. Issue 3 (209). P. 124-131

Introduction. The theme of Memory is a key one in culture and thus it is studied in history, sociology, semiotics, philology and other domains. The “Mnemonic Code” retains its significance throughout the entire career of M. I. Tsvetaeva as a poet. Material and methods. The aim of the article is to study semantic and stylistic features of the word-image “Memory” in M. Tsvetaeva’s lyrics of 1920 through the analysis of the lexical structure of the corresponding poetic text. The semantic-stylistic analysis is based on the theories of the imaginative speech substantiation by M. N. Kozhina and of the text paradigms by N. S. Bolotnova. Referring to both linguistic and textual paradigms goes within the textocentric approach in modern linguistics and the linguistic analysis of the literary text itself. Results and discussion. Semantic lexical paradigms present associative pairs and fragments of associative series of words and superword units within the lexical system of the text, already existing in the linguistic consciousness of the reader on the one hand and formed by the text on the other hand. Analysis of M. Tsvetaeva’s poems revealed semantic lexical paradigms based on semic recurrence, isotopic chains actualized due to such type of foregrounding as repetition, and semantic lexical paradigms based on semantic contrast. In 1920 M. Tsvetaeva wrote 4 poems containing the word-image “Memory”: “Good Night to a Stranger in a New Cell...”, “Psyche” (“Punch and Midnight ...”), “Running from Home…”, “How They Drink in Long Drinks... ” (Excerpt). They are written at the end of the third period of the poet’s creative work, they precede the new features of her idiostyle. The word-image “Memory” is associated with the main themes of M. Tsvetaeva’s works – the lost world, creativity, love. In the verbal associative network of M. Tsvetaeva’s poems of 1920, the word “memory” is accompanied by the usual lexical representatives “remember”, “forget”, phraseological unit meaning “without memory”. It actualizes in the locative “in memory”, in the spoken syntactic structure “what a memory” and it is accompanied by the epithets and descriptive adjectives as “bad”, “female”, “all”. Conclusion. The contextual meaning of the word-image “Memory” is based on a rich usual background and is explained in M. Tsvetaeva’s lyrics of 1920 through the themes of the vanishing old world, creativity and love. This further develops the trends outlined in the earlier poems, but they are expressed more clearly, expressively and deeply.

Keywords: cultural memory, M. I. Tsvetaeva’s idiostyle, M. I. Tsvetaeva’s lyric poetry, communicative stylistics, lexical structure of the poetic text, semantic lexical paradigms

Kuznetsov P.M. MARKETING COMMUNICATION BARRIERS AND SPECIFICS OF THE RUSSIAN CUSTOMER // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2015. Issue 5 (158). P. 52-59

The article deals with the Russian customers’ types with the specific features, peculiar to each type. General peculiarities, which represent modern Russian mentality and can be used to distinguish Russian customers from those of Europe and the USA, are considered too. These are, first of all, the large income-contrast between wealthy minority and poor majority of Russian population (there is a distinct stratification of Russian society), priority of material wellbeing and the lack of trust to advertising. These peculiarities are considered in the context of the marketing communication barriers, which occur in process of marketing message recognition by customers. There are five consequentially occurring barriers: attention; understanding; trusting; remembering and first actions. We analyze them in three aspects: 1) the influence of four factors, which characterize the marketing message, showing its quality and efficiency (these are form, contents, technical facilities and organization of the massage); 2) the influence of Russian customers’ peculiarities, which determine the smooth or hard coming of marketing message over this or that barrier of marketing communications; 3) making the set of marketing communication instruments, which could be most effective to overcome each barrier. As the result, we conclude that the stratification of Russian society into wealthy minority and poor majority is now the most actual peculiarity, which influence passing the four (of five) existing barriers and determines the set of marketing communication instruments for overcoming each of them.

Sapukh T.V. “EDUTAINMENT” TECHNOLOGY IN THE EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT OF THE UNIVERSITY // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2016. Issue 8 (173). P. 30-34

The term “edutainment” is formed from two English words: “entertainment” and “education” and combines entertainment and learning. We understand edutainment as a special education technology, viewed as a complex of modern technical and didactic means of teaching, based on the concept of learning through entertainment. The main difference between edutainment and the modern paradigm of learning is that the subject is actively involved in the educational process. As a result of interaction between an informative and entertaining object and active in learning subject we obtain knowledge, abilities, skills, individual experience, subjective emotions. Edutainment technology tasks have to meet three pedagogical principles: the principle of theory with practice linking, the principle of consistency and the principle of accessibility. Edutainment technology has great potential in the organization of the learning process at the University. It is necessary to maintain a reasonable balance between education and entertainment. Tasks created to promote the interest, need to be balanced with activities to improve intelligence.

Stepanova E.S. LINGUOCOGNITIVE PECULIARITIES OF THE SCIENTIFIC AND POPULAR MEDICAL DISCOURSE // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2019. Issue 4 (201). P. 95-101

The aim of the research is the description of the cognitive and discursive space of the scientific and popular medical discourse, which is represented by phenomenological cognitive structures and linguistic cognitive structures. It provides the differentiation of the notions “scientific medical discourse” and “scientific and popular medical discourse”. The scientific and popular medical discourse is one of the types of the scientific discourse. Material and methods. The methodology of the research is based on the cognitive approach to the phenomenon, its actualization in the discourse proposed by Victoria V. Krasnykh. She states that knowledge and representations are preserved in cognitive structures. The research methods are cultural analysis and descriptive-analytical contextual method. Results and discussion. The results of the research show linguistic means that represent phenomenological cognitive structures that are typical for the cognitive and discursive space of the scientific and popular medical discourse. Extralinguistic factors influence the discourse. In case of the scientific and popular medical discourse the sphere of doctor-patient communication serves as an extralinguistic factor. The scientific and popular medical discourse has the characteristics of the scientific medical discourse (representatives of which are doctors) and the naïve medical discourse (representatives of which are patients). The strategies that are typical for different types of discourse intersect in the scientific and popular medical discourse. Conclusion. The theoretical significance of the research lies in the fact that results of the research contribute to cognitive linguistics on the questions concerning the study of the scientific and popular medical discourse. The results expand the basis of study of semantics of the scientific and popular medical discourse, means of realization of phenomenological cognitive structures. The suggested typology can be used for the analysis of other types of discourse. The practical significance lies in the fact that the typology of phenomenological cognitive structures characterizes the cognitive and discursive space of the scientific and popular medical discourse. The author of the scientific and popular medical discourse uses linguistic means taking into consideration linguocultural experience of a linguistic personality. It helps to view the ordinary phenomenon from the unusual perspective. The article presents the examples of realization of phenomenological cognitive structures that reflect cultural views of the society. Phenomenological cognitive structures represent cultural values in the transformed way.

Introduction. Considering the problems with graphical training and formation of graphical culture of secondary school students is timely and relevant due to reducing the number of teaching hours devoted to the study of graphic disciplines. In this regard, to search for new opportunities and develop educational-methodical support for improving the quality of graphics education of students in high school is of high interest now. The aim of this study is to identify the general level of students’ graphical culture, importance of the graphical training course in the secondary school, as well as to identify ways and means to enhance the graphic education of the students. Material and methods. Research materials, used in this study, are the data collected from the literature on graphic culture and graphical preparation of students, and education process in secondary school. In this study we used general scientific analysis methods: synthesis, comparison, surveillance and questioning, interrogating and performing graphic assignments by the students. Results and discussion. We defined the term “graphic culture” in the context of this study, determined the structural components of graphic culture, the stages of graphic education of high school students, examined the ways and means of improving the quality of graphic preparation, in particular, by studying the “Technology” course. We have provided detailed information on pedagogical and psychological counseling and the implementation of graphic assignments by students. Conclusion. We have proposed the following strategies for better accumulation of graphic knowledge and skills during secondary school studying. First, to use the structural-logical schema when studying different subjects. Second, to include the graphic disciplines to the list of complementary courses, elective courses, and as additional education of secondary school students. Third, to pay a special attention to graphic education at the classes on technology, purposefully forming students’ knowledge and skills in reading and making of drawings, sketches, diagrams, as well as of a general aesthetic perception of the objects of surrounding world.

New ideas on wave neuronal processes and only two neuronal constants, H. Berger’s and M.N. Livanov’s ones, which were included into a dozen of simple algebraic equations, permit us to explain interrelationship of many known quantitative regularities in psychology. New equations, which were derived deductively from neurophysiological data, permit to explain quantitatively a lot of psychological phenomena in a broad range of conditions, particularly, the speed of gain of information and the dependence of short-term memory span on the alphabet span of stimuli. Besides it was shown in experiments with hundreds of subjects that individual parameters of electroencephalogram permit to compute individual peculiarities of human behavior, in partial to compute MMPI psychological profiles as well as to esteem intellectual abilities of human being. The predictors were electroencephalographic parameters like amplitudes and frequencies of EEG waves as well as coefficients of correlation between activities at different brain areas in resting state of subject
