Substantiates the validity of allocation of etiquette speech genre “bow,” which is widely used in the Chekhov’s letters. The description of etiquette speech genre is held with regard to its main constitutive parameters of speech genres (following the T.V.Shmeleva’s Model of speech genre): the communicative purpose, the image of the addresser, the image of the addressee, the factor of the eventful past, the factor of the eventful future, structural and linguistic peculiarities. The “bow” in Chekhov’s letters is a method of transmitting an indirect recipient (recipients of the bow) through the direct recipient of letters. The communicative purpose of the speech genre “bow” is an expression of a respectful and kind attitude of the addresser to his addressees. With this speech genre, the author shows himself as a person who knows the conventional speech etiquette (including correspondence etiquette) and simultaneously supports, maintains contacts and good relations with people, regardless of temporal and spatial factors. Speech genre “bow” as one of the most consumed etiquette genres in Chekhov’s letters, written during the period 1892-1894 years, generally performs the phatic function. The features of Chekhov’s linguistic expression in the speech genre “bow” give his epistolary communication emotions that determine the overall positive communication background. One of the pressing problems of modern preschool education is the mathematical education of children, which in turn is the foundation for the further development of mathematical training of preschoolers. This problem directly stems mainly from the lack of professional knowledge among educators and preschool education programs, in particular, developing cognitive interest in teaching mathematics to senior preschoolers. The aim of the research is to develop and test a program for the development of cognitive interest in children in the process of teaching mathematics in preschool institutions. Material and methods. To determine the level of development of cognitive interest in teaching mathematics in senior preschoolers, a set of diagnostic methods was selected: L. N. Prokhorov’s method for studying the attitude of children to cognitive activity; Yu. A. Afonkin’s methodology “Child in the classroom” for studying the behavior of children in the classroom with mathematical content; a survey of parents “Organization of cognitive activity of preschool children at home” was conducted to identify the degree of participation of parents in the cognitive activity of the child and maintaining his interest. The empirical base of the study was formed by taking a continuous sample in one of the preschool institutions in the city of Chistopol: the municipal budgetary preschool educational institution “Kindergarten of general developmental type No. 6 “Zhemchuzhinka”” of the Chistopol municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan. Results and discussion. The problem of developing cognitive interest in senior preschool children is a unique period of development of a child’s personality, since during this period children form an idea of the world around them, intensive physical and mental development occurs. One of the facets of its development is cognitive interest. During the experimental study, it was revealed: 1. A positive change in the mathematical development of children begins with their experience with real objects or objects that have quantitative or qualitative properties, such as different colors, sizes and shapes, when performing arithmetic or logical operations with numbers. 2. Teaching mathematics through games may appeal to preschoolers who find mathematics inaccessible and tedious. Learning through games helps children understand that understanding mathematical patterns and relationships can be a pleasant and motivating activity. Based on the analysis of the six-step theory of teaching mathematics by Zoltan Dienes, an experimental study was conducted on the development and testing of the psychological and pedagogical program “Magic Figures” for the development of cognitive interest in teaching mathematics to older preschoolers. In the course of conducting an experimental study to determine the level of development of cognitive interest in teaching mathematics to older preschoolers using a set of diagnostic techniques, we made the following conclusions: the program increased the motivation of children to participate in math classes; the program strengthens the students’ conviction of the need to study mathematics at preschool age; the program encourages students to take a responsible approach to their professional development; the program increases students’ confidence in learning mathematics; The program provides educators with appropriate tools and facilities for teaching mathematics in preschool institutions. Conclusion. In the course of the implementation of the psychological and pedagogical program “Magic Figures”, the development of cognitive interest in teaching mathematics among older preschoolers, there is a positive trend in the mathematical training of both educators and preschool children. The research objective is to reveal the inner meanings of the studied lexemes and find out cultural value of the parts of the body that they denote. The object of the investigation is the dialectal variants of the lexemes denoting top and back of a head in the Selkup language.The author has collected and classified the dialectal variants of the lexemes denoting the considered parts of the head in the Selkup language. The paper gives the etymological review of the somonyms ket. sumba ‘top of a head’, ‘back of a head’ and ket. nukku ‘back of a head’, whereas the somonym taz. par ‘back of a head’ was considered from semantic point of view. Linguistic analysis of ket. sumba and ket. nukku which both denote ‘back of a head’ revealed that they refer to different parts of the back of a head. Also the mythological materials describing the studied parts of the head were analyzed. The results show that the somonyms ket. sumba, ket. nukku and taz. par have different cultural meanings and value. The nomination taz. par integrates the idea of interconnection of physical and spiritual worlds, the terms ket. sumba and ket. nukku comprise information about the Selkups’ apprehension of the Universe. Therefore, playing volleyball, students practice skills to quickly respond to changing situations, make the right decisions in various circumstances, choose the most appropriate actions. | 4293 | Introduction. The present paper examines a literary figure of ekphrasis and its implementation through intertextual references in fiction. Despite how relatively ‘researched’ the phenomenon of ekphrasis is, the overwhelming majority of existing works focuses on the transfer of meaning between the verbal and visual mediums. This approach omits the reader’s possible interpretation of ekphrastic descriptions and their stylistic expression in texts. The aim of the research is to carry out a linguistic analysis of ekphrastic intertextual references and their possible impact on the reader’s perception of a fictional text. Material and methods. The study is based on ekphrastic abstracts from the novels by Dina Rubina ‘On the Sunny Side of the Street’ and Margaret Atwood’s ‘Cat’s Eye’. The research methodology uses the following techniques of cognitive poetics: the figure-ground dichotomy, the model of literary resonance, the theory of narrative interrelation. Results and discussion. The cognitive poetic analysis of the ekphrastic representations of characters has shown: • intertextual references link scenes within a narrative; • intertextual references supply additional symbolic and metaphorical meanings to an artwork; • intertextual references imitate the visual organisation of an art object at the syntactic, semantic and textual levels. Conclusion. Using cognitive poetic methods of linguistic analysis, we examined stylistic expression of ekphrasis in a literary text. Taking the role of a figure, the character depicted in the painting acts as a pronounced attractor when influencing the reader’s perception. This perceptual influence is confirmed by the typical semantic, syntactic and stylistic characteristics of attractors presented in the analysed passages. Comparison of the ekphrastic descriptions and the corresponding context revealed the parallelism of the used constructions, which indicates a similar organisation of their figure-background relations. Parallelism can be also marked as specific intertextual references, through which an art object is actualised in the reader’s mind. In addition to the contextual environment, intertextual references contribute to the symbolic realisation of a character in a literary text, complementing their representation with metaphorical and conceptual meanings.
