| 4359 | The problem of pedagogical goal-setting under the situation of drastic sociocultural changes which require the reformation of educational system is analyzed. Two approaches to the definition of educational goals “education for life” and “education for a human” are scrutinized. The question concerning the role of extra-curricular activities in the system of school education is put by the example of teaching speech and acting techniques in the upper school. The course goals are defined: to surmount the dialectal peculiarities and to improve the speech up to the standard pronunciation; to develop listening and communicative skills in general. The drama element in voice and speech exercises is brought in in order to awaken positive emotions, enthusiasm and to remove muscle spasms. A short performance at the end of the year watched by teachers, parents and students contributes to the development of students’ motivation. This is a form of creativity, self-expression and self-realization, this is that conscious activity which we want our children to learn. | 4360 | The phenomenon of “educational metaspace” is considered in the context of the anthropological approach. The concept of “subjectivity” is interpreted as a conscious and active attitude. We prove the necessity of technologized work of the teacher in the educational metaspace through certain forms and methods of joint activities focused on the needs of the modern educational situation. Description of the experimental part of the work is a design of educational metaspace and it is constructed in the logic of humanitarian research. Design of metaspace based on the category of “problem”, which is understood as a method of detecting and fixing the lack of thought means to achieve this goal. The algorithm of work with a problem is presented in several stages. Each stage corresponds to a specific form of work of joint activities. Design of metaspace is based on a particular subject material. This material became the novel M. A. Bulgakov's “Master and Margarita”. The basis of the educational project was the film P. Weir's “Dead Poets Society”. The project is seen as project actions of each participant. | 4362 | In this article we are talking about linguodidactic and methodical potential of specialized lexicographical sources – dictionaries of slang units. It emphasizes the importance of data dictionaries for a foreign media – secondary language personality, mastering the Russian language as a foreign language. It is emphasized that the introduction of foreigners with dictionaries of jargon and their active use in educational activities, and everyday social and interpersonal communication contribute to effective adaptation of the alien within the Russian linguistic culture, effective development of lexical resources of the modern Russian language. These lexicographical publications are the basis of learning of the Russian youth slang by the foreigners who are actively using them as sources of material collection as the reference books contain extremely valuable information regarding the interpretation of the meaning of words and connotative components of these values. Fixing the unit in slang dictionary suggests mandatory setting of the correct accent, specification of the value, using the contextual features and connotative shades of meaning, which is also largely helps an alien as a secondary language person in his language practice to study Russian as a foreign language. In the course of questionning the informants in the audience of foreign undergraduates from China the author highlighted and justified a number of parameters which determine linguodidactic, didactic and methodological value of this type of dictionaries. Keywords: secondary language personality, Russian as a foreign language, language competence, linguocultural competence, jargon, youth jargon, slang expression, dictionary | 1877 | |||||
| 4363 | The history of volunteer practices in prerevolutionary Russia is among the major problems that attract increasing attention of researchers. The need to study them is caused not only by scientific, but also by the practical need for a deeper consideration of volunteer activity in the system of charitable institutions and public organizations. The statutes and reports of these organizations are valuable sources, significantly broadening and refining our understanding of the history of volunteerism in Russia in the second half of the 19th century. Reflecting the nature of society itself, they contain information about their composition (quantitative and personal), organizational structure, subordinate organizations and activities, as well as practices of public volunteers. Thanks to the availability of such a document as the charter, members of the society first got an idea of the procedure for using the rights granted to them and the sphere of application of volunteer efforts and free labor. The article analyzes statutes and reports of the Tver Charitable Society for the Promotion of Women’s Labor, the Orenburg Slavic Charitable Society, the Arkhangelsk Sobriety Society, the Odessa Society for Combating Drunkenness, the Charitable Society for the Publication of Useful and Cheap Books, the Society for the Improvement of National Labor in Memory of the Tsar Liberator Alexander II, the Charitable Society for the Protection of Animals, the St. Petersburg Slavic Charitable Society, and others. | 4364 | The results of experimental work on approbation of pedagogical support for the formation of readiness of bachelors of management for profession development are considered. The results obtained earlier in the course of the study made it possible to conclude that the first-year students participating in the study who chose the direction of training “Human Resources Management” have low awareness of the specifics, nature and content of the professional work of personnel specialists, orientation and expression of motives, formation of professionally important qualities. This determines the necessity to strengthen the orientation on the formation of personal readiness to master the profession from the first days of study at the university. In this regard, a set of pedagogical means has been developed and implemented, namely: the program of the training course “Introduction to Professional Activitiy”, a training manual and other methodical means. The content of the training course was realized according to a specific algorithm, including the decomposition of learning objectives and related with them planned results of training, selection and structuring of content, determination of methods for assessing the results of course mastering during and at the end of the study according to criteria and indicators for the implementation of relevant diagnostic tasks. This approach made it possible to ensure the structural, substantive and methodological integrity of the course, the relationship with other training courses and, in general, to pay attention to improving the level of readiness of bachelors in management to master professional competencies at the initial stage of training. The results of approbation confirm the hypothesis put forward by us on the need to include this course in the professional training of bachelors of management to ensure its effectiveness. The analysis of quantum size effects in the electron and phonon states was done, dependence of the deformation potentials of the composition and thickness of the layer superlattices was defined. It is shown that the intervalley Г-M scattering is most intensive when the wave functions of electrons and the polarization vector of the phonons are localized in the same layers of superlattice. Interface oscillations occur in superlattices with a sufficiently thick layers and cause a relatively weak intensity of T-Ј transitions of electrons from the central valley to the upper conduction bands. Rhyming compounds represent the group of minor types of word-formation in Modern English. The members of the group are less important in comparison with the other ways of replenishing the English vocabulary, but they play an important role in the field of expressive means of language. The meaning of rhyming compounds is diverse and often unpredictable; they usually denote quantity or intensity. Rhyming compounds are formed by repetition of roots with some changes in the vowels or/and consonants. The system of the word-formation type in question is rather stable and tends to increase. | 4372 | The article describes the concept of motivation and motives, explores a naturalistic approach to man, characteristic of the Western tradition studying the motives as «a multifaceted concept that includes: needs, attitudes, interest, habits, motives, desires, inclinations, urges, examines the impact of motivation on learning, the dynamics of motives of choice of profession, the influence of type of school on the motivation of educational activity of students at state and private institutions. It is noted that among the students of a private university clearly prevails the pursuit of knowledge and orientation to a professional career and at the same time a disregard for the degree. We are slightly puzzled by the coincidence of positions of students of both universities in relation to the career of the entrepreneur and the manager. The survey showed that the availability of money with a lack of abilities plays a prominent but not central role in the selection of paid education. The motives of educational activity of students are closely linked with the motives of choice of institution (profession), and with the conditions of professional activities. They are largely determined by the degree of satisfaction with the quality of teaching and training. The study motives of the student youth of non-state and state colleges of higher education suggests that at present the fundamental differences in this area do not exist, largely due to the immaturity of the private sector of higher education. However, research has shown the relationship between the payment for learning and a higher motivation for learning of students of a private college. The students found great interest in his professional career, confidence in their future, there is no doubt that they are faster to adapt to new economic and social realities. | 4373 | The discourse research remains the focus of modern linguistic science. The discourse is considered concretization of speech “in different modes of human existence”. The French architectural institutional discourse refers to the object, thematic discourses born at the intersection of the architectural (project-constructive) discourse proper and others discourses, such as scientific, academic, legal (legislative-administrative), newspaper-publicistic. This discourse is an example of polydiscursiveness, communicative intersection of discourses, so the legal discourse (legislative and administrative) is an integral part of the architectural discourse. The legal discourse is one of the most actual discourses of our time. it is oriented at all levels of the society, regulates the legal relationship between the individual and the society, whose interests are enshrined in laws and other regulatory documents of state power. The legal discourse reflects the political, economic, ethno-linguistic, moral and ethical factors of the organization of the state and society. The French legal discourse fully meets these destinations. The article deals with the French legal discourse in the field of architecture and urbanism and its subtypes: legislative and administrative, relating to the written type of discourse, because the issue and publication of laws, regulations and legal documents are carried out exclusively in the written form. In its turn, the legislative and administrative discourse is divided into two sub-discourses: law-making and lawapplying. The language of the legal discourse is one of the most peculiar codes, it is the first element and the building material of law. | 4382 | Introduction. The study of discourse typology is one of the advanced research lines in communicative linguistics. Engineering communication is becoming a subject of increased focus for linguists due to its rapid development driven by dynamic changes in technology, society and industry, which is resulted in continuous exchange of information between the members of the engineering society. Despite the significant number of discourse studies in different social institutions, engineering discourse remains an understudied area as Russian researchers traditionally consider it as a part of the scientific or scientific and technical discourse. In view of the fact that discourse is translated into certain genres, and genres, in turn, are always included into a certain discourse field, authors propose the idea that the engineering discourse provides a series of particular core genres which reflect the values, strategy and information of engineering communication and make it distinct from the scientific discourse. The paper addresses the distinguishing characteristics in lexical organization of the technical standard to reveal the fact that the genre of standard meets the goals of engineering communication. Material and methods. As the empiric material of the research 184 pages of running Russian standards for the engineering technology and equipment were used. The texts of the standards were exploited as the subject matter for discourse analysis. Content analysis as a general research technique provided the identification of the quantitative aspect in the lexical structure of technical standards. The efficiency of this technique was proven by international schools of discourse analysis and by national researchers as well. Results and discussion. The analysis of the lexical structure of standards revealed the key discursive aspects of the studied genre, which identified the standard as a core genre of engineering discourse. Conclusion. As to performed analysis, the technical standard genre meets the primary goal of professional communication in the engineering field. The peculiar characteristics of the genre studied are determined by the demands of discourse and communicative situation as well. | 4387 | It has been found that occupancy of and ^-opioid receptors (ORs) by DPDPE and U-50488, respectively, prevents irreversible cardiac cell damage during global ischemia (45 min) and reperfusion (30 min) of the isolated perfused rat heart by the Langendorff technique. Activation of Kj-ORs decreased cAMP levels in the myocardium during reperfusion but stimulation of 8J-ORs had no effect on the cAMP levels. The occupancy of both types of receptors did not alter the cGMP levels before and after ischemia. Cardioprotective effect of DPDPE was completely abolished by pretreatment with cyclopiazonic acid, an inhibitor of Ca2+-ATPase of sarcoplasmic reticulum. | 4396 | Introduction. The present paper examines a literary figure of ekphrasis and its implementation through intertextual references in fiction. Despite how relatively ‘researched’ the phenomenon of ekphrasis is, the overwhelming majority of existing works focuses on the transfer of meaning between the verbal and visual mediums. This approach omits the reader’s possible interpretation of ekphrastic descriptions and their stylistic expression in texts. The aim of the research is to carry out a linguistic analysis of ekphrastic intertextual references and their possible impact on the reader’s perception of a fictional text. Material and methods. The study is based on ekphrastic abstracts from the novels by Dina Rubina ‘On the Sunny Side of the Street’ and Margaret Atwood’s ‘Cat’s Eye’. The research methodology uses the following techniques of cognitive poetics: the figure-ground dichotomy, the model of literary resonance, the theory of narrative interrelation. Results and discussion. The cognitive poetic analysis of the ekphrastic representations of characters has shown: • intertextual references link scenes within a narrative; • intertextual references supply additional symbolic and metaphorical meanings to an artwork; • intertextual references imitate the visual organisation of an art object at the syntactic, semantic and textual levels. Conclusion. Using cognitive poetic methods of linguistic analysis, we examined stylistic expression of ekphrasis in a literary text. Taking the role of a figure, the character depicted in the painting acts as a pronounced attractor when influencing the reader’s perception. This perceptual influence is confirmed by the typical semantic, syntactic and stylistic characteristics of attractors presented in the analysed passages. Comparison of the ekphrastic descriptions and the corresponding context revealed the parallelism of the used constructions, which indicates a similar organisation of their figure-background relations. Parallelism can be also marked as specific intertextual references, through which an art object is actualised in the reader’s mind. In addition to the contextual environment, intertextual references contribute to the symbolic realisation of a character in a literary text, complementing their representation with metaphorical and conceptual meanings.
