Velichko Y.V., Militsina O.V., Kalashnikova Y.V. THE DEVELOPMENT OF ETHNO MUSICAL AND ETHNO-CULTURAL KNOWLEDGE OF YOUNGER STUDENTS IN THE PROCESS OF TRAINING FOLK ENSEMBLE // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2020. Issue 1 (207). P. 33-39

Introduction. The article analyzes the application of ethno-cultural approach to music education of younger students as a factor of socialization of students, their ethnic identification and self-determination in the multinational cultural space. Material and methods. In the course of work the song material was studied in the style of local folk song tradition of the Nikolsky district of the Penza region, the echoes, folk tunes which make up the content of ethno-cultural and ethnomusical knowledge mastered by younger schoolchildren in folklore ensemble. Their use makes it possible to design the process of formation of ethno-cultural and ethnomusical knowledge as a personal intellectual experience based on internal acceptance of information and implementing this knowledge in practical actions. Results and discussion. The success of the formation of ethno-cultural and ethnomusical knowledge of younger students depends on several factors, for example, the wealth of emotional and moral content of musical works or compliance with the specifics of children’s musical and creative activity. As elements of the selection of local history material, its spiritual and moral content, the presence of musical and artistic traditions that contribute to the realization of the child’s right to their own national art culture and language in the process of its development and aesthetic education are updated. Nikolsky district of the Penza region is rich in its musical traditions, has a historical, cultural and spiritual heritage, which includes valuable historical and architectural monuments associated with historical events, the lives of outstanding figures of culture and art of Russia. All this allows younger students to quickly and easily navigate the world of ethnomusical values of the native musical culture and the culture of other peoples. The pedagogical potential of ethnocultural musical material lies in the fact that it provides simplicity and brightness of the artistic-figurative perception of works of this orientation. Conclusion. Purposeful, systematic lessons with children in the folklore ensemble contribute to the preservation of spiritual and moral values of the musical culture of the ethnic group. Younger students demonstrate not only the knowledge of song and dance culture of ethnic groups living in the Penza region, but also Patriotic civic qualities relevant to the modern stage of development of society.

Komarova E.N. PROFESSIONAL SELF-REALIZATION IN THE IDEA OF FUTURE TEACHERS OF THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2020. Issue 1 (207). P. 61-69

Introduction. The most important task of modern education is to provide opportunities for personal and professional growth and for the implementation of self-realization. The main approaches to the study of the concept of selfrealization are outlined. The results of a survey of future teachers of the Russian language are presented. The ideas of future teachers of the Russian language in relation to their professional self-realization are revealed. Material and methods. The study was conducted on the basis of the analysis of theoretical sources on the problem of self-realization and the results of a survey of students of the philological faculty. The author’s questionnaire consisted of 3 open-ended questions and 4 closed-ended questions. Results and discussion. Various approaches to understanding these concepts are analyzed and their own position on this issue is substantiated. According to the results of the survey, it was found that 15% of 3-year students and 55% of 4-year students are sure that professional self-realization implies continuous improvement in the chosen profession and the need for improvement. The needs arising for future teachers of the Russian language during pedagogical practice, which is a key link between the theoretical training of future teachers of the Russian language and their independent work in an educational institution, are characterized. Conclusion. Self-actualization is understood as a tendency to self-realization. And self-realization is a process of personality development, involving active cooperation with other people, the application of one’s own efforts. It is revealed that the pedagogical practice is a critical point in the formation of the future teacher of the Russian language. Before practice, the main difficulties for students are self-doubt and lack of knowledge in the field of methodological disciplines. After teaching practice, the lack of free time among teachers of the Russian language and the high intensity of work become the basic barriers for self-realization for students. This makes future teachers of the Russian language doubt their further professional activities. The question arises of the psychological and pedagogical support of students during practice.

Martseva T.A., Kobenko Y.V. The History of the English Language Origin as a Clue to Understanding its Current Status // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2024. Issue 4 (234). P. 75-83

The paper draws comparisons between the stages in the history of the English language developing in the multilingual environment and its status of a macromediator in the modern world. The research is based on two fundamental methods: the comparative historical method that assists in observing the development of English in the diachronic perspective and its co-existence with other languages in anisotropic linguistic situation of that time and the dialectical one directed at identifying such contradicting directions of the language system evolution as integration and disintegration, standardization and individualization, centrism and acentrism. The evolution of classifying English language origin (Teutonic group in the 17th and 18th centuries, Anglofrisian group in the 19th century and West Germanic group in the 20th century) is rooted in the changes of intralinguistic nature caused by a range of extralinguistic factors. On the one hand, island distribution of the language areal, hard accessibility of the territory, and therefore their isolation, and on the other hand, attractiveness of this land due to favorable conditions (mild climate, diverse landscape, rich flora and fauna), Christianization, active trade relationships leading to permanent polyglossia of linguistic environment (Celtic, Germanic, Scandinavian dialects, classical and vulgar Latin, various languages of Roman legionaries, French) were the reasons why the English language obtained and has maintained till the present time such peculiar distinctive properties as acentrism, high level of lexical mobility, substantial derivational potential, economy of linguistic means and rather free manipulations with language standards. The latter is also connected with long-term absence of the unified national, political and language center in Britain and mostly marginal usage of the language predominantly in the oral form. The authors also insist on the need to further look into the grammatical structure of the English language throughout its evolution in order to better understand the consequences of the polyglossian environment not only on its vocabulary but also the status constituent.

Gubaydullina A.N. «School» Subject in F. Sologub’s Lyrics // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2004. Issue 3 (40). P. 73-78

In F. Sologub’s texts and publicistic articles there is a subject of pedagogics, school knowledge, types of «pupil» and «teacher» are steady. Between parts of pair «the pupil – the teacher» Sologub traces relations in the context of a steady antisocial script. Absurd, anecdotic sequences of school subjects in many respects have an autobiographical basis. The school lyrics participates in creation of a portrait of the typical character of Sologub’s lyrics: passive, dependent on the social patterns, limited to frameworks of algolagnic complex.

Sevryukova A.A., Il’yasov D.F., Kostenko O.A. DEVELOPMENT OF READINESS OF THE TUTORS IN A GENERAL EDUCATION ORGANIZATION TO SUPPORT STUDENTS’ PROFESSIONAL SELF-DETERMINATION // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2018. Issue 8 (197). P. 102-109

Modern Russian education is characterized by the adoption of tutors into general education organizations. It is established that these specialists rarely turn to the practice of supporting a professional identity of schoolchildren, are not ready to carry out this process. The concept of the tutor’s readiness to support the professional identity of schoolchildren is defined. This is a complex personal and professional description of a tutor which includes the awareness of importance of the supporting professional identity of schoolchildren, an interested mood in the creative use of the theory of tutoring in the practice of career guidance work with students, the presence of reflexive abilities that allow timely making adequate decisions in the process of constructing and implementing an individual way of choosing the future profession by tutors. A criterial evaluation system has been developed. It offers a level characterization of the components of the readiness of tutors (motivational, activity, analytical) to support the professional identity of schoolchildren. Based on the analysis of the literature, the expediency of using the powerful resources of intracorporate training for the development of this quality is justified. The system of intracorporate training is simulated, the program of which three meaningful lines are proposed: the legal framework for tutoring; psychological foundations of professional identity of schoolchildren as an object of tutoring; effective technologies of tutoring support of professional identity of schoolchildren. The description of the activity methods of work to improve the professionalism of tutors within the framework of intracorporate training is given. The findings of the authoritative study are presented, demonstrating the need for the development of readiness of tutors to support the professional identity of schoolchildren. The results of the control experiment are interpreted that allow one to assess the impact of internal training on positive changes in all components of tutors’ readiness to support schoolchildren in choosing their future profession.

Keywords: tutors, professional identity of schoolchildren, tutors support, tutors’ readiness to support a professional identity of schoolchildren, criteria of preparedness formation, intracorporate training of teachers

Shevchenko O.G. FROM IMITATION METHOD TOWARDS SELF-ASSESSMENT AND SELF-CHECKING STRATEGIES IN INTONATION DEVELOPMENT // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2017. Issue 8 (185). P. 28-36

The article presents the overview of resources in practical phonetics published in Russia over the period of sixteen years. In this study far from the critical review we conclude the main problems typical for Russian pronunciation training. We found the traditional ways of teaching phonetics and defined their advantages and drawbacks. The article is an attempt at taking a comparative look at the treatment of English tones in a sample of ten teaching resources through the time of sixteen years. The selection of English tones for the analyses is for their notoriety in the context of learning by Russians. After analyzing the teaching resources we found the balanced treatment of segments and suprasegments which is definitely a great advantage of time. Also a positive moment is an equal treatment of pronunciation together with grammar and lexis. However till present days we can state the over-use of drill-like pronunciation activities, where the repetitive and mechanical practice is still the weakness of the analyzed pronunciation materials. Traditional drill-based activities are so far fruitful but the modern way of education demands inclusion of communicative pronunciation-oriented activities in the learning practice. The occasional use of consciousness-raising and self-monitoring activities is still a typical feature of phonetic classes all over Russian universities. It is a strong call for incorporation of confidence building and reflective activities in the pronunciation training.

Emelyanova J.B. READINESS AND ABILITY TO SWITCH LINGUACULTURAL CODES AS AN INTEGRATED CHARACTERISTIC OF TRANSLATOR’S LANGUAGE KNOWLEDGE // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2019. Issue 7 (204). P. 148-157

The article considers the way linguistic and cultural knowledge is used in translation and justifies the need to view a translator as a professional native and foreign language user. Similarly, it is important to recognize the specific character of translator’s language knowledge because, firstly, it is a tool in a professional cross-cultural mediation in translation; secondly, it provides the basis for the acquisition, development and functioning of translation skills. An attempt is made to identify the characteristics of translator’s linguacultural knowledge relevant to the process of code-switching, which should be viewed as the switching of linguacultural codes in order to reflect the interlingual and cross-cultural aspects of translation. Based on the analysis of the mental processes and mechanisms of linguacultural switching the following characteristics of translator’s lingualcultural knowledge have been proposed. Chunk-based language knowledge is represented by communicative chunks and communicative contours and is able to improve access, activation and retrieval of linguistic knowledge, error control, the functioning of radiant thinking and spreading activation. Frame-based knowledge of a foreign language creates the framework for probabilistic forecasting, facilitates direct access to conceptual representations in a foreign language, raises its activation level and reduces its dependence on the native language, as well as improving integration of linguistic and conceptual information into semantic memory. Systemic language knowledge means knowing a language as a system of dependencies and connections and ensures distinctness, flexibility and mobility of language knowledge. Language awareness involves the ability to pay attention to language forms, reflect on language, patterns and specific character of its functioning. Such awareness develops the skill of separating two languages and cultures, improves language and error control and prevents linguistic interference. Functional parallelism reflects the type of relationship between two language systems and is made up of systemic, communicative and operational aspects. The last characteristic involves the awareness of the linguistic factors causing breakdowns in code-switching in translation, as well as the ability to predict and deal with such problems. Collectively, the above-mentioned characteristics form the readiness and ability of a translator to code-switch. The development of these characteristics should be made part of professionally oriented foreign language teaching to trainee translators.

A brief description of the supersymmetric and duality covariant approach to supergravity is presented. The formalism is based on exceptional geometric structures and turns the hidden U-duality group into a manifest gauge symmetry. Tensor hierachy of gauged supergravity appears naturally here as a consequence of covariance of the construction. Finally, the full supersymmetric Lagrangian is explicitly constructed. This work was presented on the International Conference “Quantum Field Theory and Gravity (QFTG’14)” in Tomsk.

Сопова S.P. A. P. CHEKHOV’S NARRATIVE “A DREARY STORY” IN B. SHLOEZER’S TRANSLATION // Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2015. Issue 6 (159). P. 179-182

The author considers the method of concept analysis as a research tool in literary studies, which could be also used in literary translation. The article states that the concept “dreary” has a dominating role in A. P. Chekhov’s narrative “A Dreary Story”. This concept represents semantic monotony and estrangement, which gradually reveals its existential potential. Therefore a philosophical subtext is logically found in the narrative, but its preservation in a translation is a great challenge for a translator. The author analyses one French version of Chekhov’s narrative. It was written in 1926 by a sociologist, writer, translator, music and literary critic, Boris de Shloezer. He oriented himself to one interpretation of this narrative which was done by a philosopher-existentialist, Lev Shestov. It allowed the translator to communicate a general philosophical idea, an existential tragic element of “A Dreary Story”. Nevertheless he did not pay enough attention to the text structure with its pervaded motives, which are organized by the title concept dreary. As a consequence Shloezer did not succeed in making an adequate French translation of “A Dreary Story”.
