| 5807 | This paper concerns the lexical problem how to convey the category of gender while translating the authentic English texts into Russian. When contrasted to each other the English and the Russian analogous nouns being of different genders illustrate dramatically different outer world as it is seen through the grammatical category of gender. The Russian professional translators do their best to convey the English gender peculiarities using both grammar and lexical-semantic devices sometimes seeming to be of no effect. While studying gender close attention is drawn to conveying masculine and feminine gender and animate/inanimate categories. | 5809 | We propose a strategy to infer the transition redshift zda, which characterizes the passage through the universe decelerated to accelerated phases, in the framework f(R) gravities. To this end, we numerically reconstruct f(z), i. e. the corresponding f(R) function re-expressed in terms of the redshift z and we show how to match f(z) with cosmography. In particular, we relate f(z) and its derivatives to the cosmographic coefficients, i. e. H0, q0 and j0 and demonstrate that its corresponding evolution may be framed by means of an effective logarithmic dark energy term ΩX, slightly departing from the case of a pure cosmological constant. Afterwards, we show that our model predicts viable transition redshift constraints, which agree with ΛCDM. To do so, we compute the corresponding zda in terms of cosmographic outcomes and find that zda ≤ 1. Finally, we reproduce an effective f(z) and show that this class of models is fairly well compatible with present-time data. To do so, we get numerical constraints employing Monte Carlo fits with the Union 2.1 supernova survey and with the Hubble measurement data set. | 5810 | The article deals with the ways of expressing attributive characteristics of actions by means of structures of discrete nomination (word combinations) and units of indiscrete nomination – single-word nominants having a complex semantic structure and denoting both an action and its qualitative characteristics at the same time. It also studies formal and semantic features of these units of nomination and their combinations. The article examines the factors determining the speaker’s choice of naming actions and its attributes. The main factors are cognitive (the influence of the character of perception of an action and its attributes – atomistic or holistic), linguistic (the possibility of analytical structuring and semantic expansion) and pragmatic (the speaker’s pragmatic intentions). | 5812 | The article analyses inter-confessional relations of the Russian old believers (pomorets) and representatives of the Orthodox Church in Ust-Tsilma municipality of the Mezen district of the Arkhangelsk province in the second quarter of the XIX century. The analysis is based on the previously unknown archival documents stored in the State archive of Arkhangelsk region. The main attention is paid to the activities of the Orthodox priests, which was aimed at the eradication of schism. Reveals the factors that contributed to the preservation and consolidation of the old believers in Ust-Tsilma villages. Special importance is attached to opening of the common faith parish in the village of Ust-Tsilma in 1856. Analyses and explains the failure of local authorities and clergy on the eradication of the old believers. The main conclusion serves the determination of the activity of the clergy, carrying out the decrees of the sovereign for the elimination of the schism, which fullfiled explanatory work among the old believer population rather inertly. That explains the failures of the local authorities and clergy to eradicate it. Keywords: Russian, Old Believers, split, priests, Ust-Tsilma, house of worship, the church | 1661 | |||||
| 5813 | In today’s Russian society relations between the state and the church have a significant influence on interethnic and interconfessional relations. | 5814 | The article is devoted to the problem of the formation of a headmaster’s humanitarian culture. The purpose of the article is to reveal the intrinsic components of this phenomenon and to show the manifestations of humanitarian culture through the formation processes of a person’s spirituality. The author discloses spirituality through the poliparadigmatic approach in science, defines the pedagogical essence of spirituality, considers its formation as a process of self-building and personal growth. The article states that the humanitarian culture of a headmaster is a necessary factor for forming spiritual environment of school. At the same time the personality of headmaster is considered to be capable of spiritual enrichment and self-development and is a carrier of special spirituality and of pedagogical mentality - intelligence. Intelligence, as a quality of the personality, can be developed if spiritual and moral values need self-development, and high humanitarian culture become the inner regulators of a headmaster. The research shows that the pedagogical community imposes high requirements to spiritual and moral personal qualities of a head, such as decency, nobility, conscientiousness, justice, high spirituality and culture. The examples of two innovative schools of the Amur Region (Gymnasium №1 in Tynda and Secondary school №1 in Arkhara) have shown how the humanitarian culture of a headmaster influences the spiritual environment of a school. According to the author, this environment will be as such if upbringing is based on spiritual and moral values, spiritual unity of a school, professional activity of the “spiritual mentors” which are capable to awake souls of their pupils and a headmaster as a well-educated person. Keywords: humanitarian culture of a headmaster, spiritual environment of school, spirituality, intelligence of the personality, personality of a headmaster, spiritually-moral values, poliparadigmatic approach | 1661 | |||||
| 5815 | Introduction. The revival of religious drama in the modern Russian children and youth literature, that began in the 2000–2010s, is being investigated. The specific genre features of the hagiological plays, which were peculiar to school drama in Russia of the17–18th centuries, are being examined. Material and methods. Hagiological plays for children and youth God is Wonderful in His Saints and White Angel of Moscow, written by R. V. Koshurnikova are used as material for the research. Comparative-historical and comparative-typological methods are used for the study of artwork. Results and discussion. In the 17th century, in the period of the emergence and functioning of such a variety of clerical genres as drama about the saints, the formation of its steady dramatic and epic structure took place. The specifics of hagiographic plots, their narrative, associated with historical and biographical content, including a wide range of chronologically developing events of the saint’s life from birth to death, which are often presented against the background of important historical events of the described epoch, led to the strong association of hagiographic plots with epic genres – hagiography. The hagiographic plot, taken from living narratives, retained its epic genre-forming potential and, when it was falling into a different genre system of drama it washed away the dramatic nature of the plays. In the modern dramas about the saints the genre memory of hagiographic drama formed in the 17th century is preserved. Conclusion. Hagiological plays of the modern children’s writer R. V. Koshurnikova reveal the same specific genre features as in the period of formation and functioning of religious drama in Russian literature of the 17th century. The increase in the volume and role of extra-textual elements (remarks), fragments of an extensive narrative text, designed as monologues of characters expands the epic layer in the dramatic text and leads to the diffusion of the genre nature in the plays of the Siberian writer. Keywords: hagiographic play, genre, chapter, lives of saints for children, R. V. Koshurnikova, school drama | 1661 | |||||

| 5834 | In modern literary studies in the context of globalization processes “mass culture” is less criticized as something “low” in relation to “elite”. Mass literature claims equal rights with any other literature in connection with the latest discourse of relativism and pluralism, when there is no consistent hierarchy of literary values. Moreover, popular literature increasingly becoming better and more inventive. However, these processes also lead to the erasure of cultural identity, in particular national and religious, as shown in the article on the example of the Christian novel by William Paul Young “The Shack”. The novel significantly deviates from the norms of the biblical Canon in matters of the value of the Church, Scripture, the image of God, the concept of hierarchy, and this deviation is associated with such global processes as multiculturalism, democracy, individualism, liberalism, etc. For example, instead of addressing the Church and the Bible, the main character receives a note from God for a personal audience, during which God appears before him in the image of a large black woman. The mass popularity of the novel around the world testifies to the crisis of modern religious identity, as it is positioned as a Christian, and in fact is heretical. | 5836 | The year of 2019 is the anniversary of two writers of different eras – A. S. Pushkin (1799–1837) and V. V. Nabokov (1899–1977). This study did not initially include the goal of identifying the “bringing together “of two writers, but an analysis of the wind motive led to results that broadened the ideas about the creative dialogue between Nabokov and Pushkin already established in literature. The aim of the work is to analyse the wind / storm motive in V. Nabokov’s novel “Otchayaniye” (Despair) in relation to cultural tradition. Material and methods. Motive and intertextual analysis based on the work of B. Gasparov, I. Silantyev. For understanding of the functionality and archetypical semantics of the wind / storm motive, the studies of K. Nagina and E. Nikanorova are significant; among the research work on Nabokov, the baseline for this study is, firstly, the article by A. Dolinina, who described the principles of using V. Nabokov to use Pushkin’s intertext in the novel “Otchayaniye” (Despair). Results and discussion. When analyzing “Otchayaniye” (Despair), it was considered that the narrative motive is often implemented in conjunction with an anonymous motive, therefore the focus of research attention was not only the wind motive / storm motive, but also windcalm. It was revealed that the wind motive in the novel is polysemantic and “works” to reveal the main themes and problems in the novel, “involved” in the design of the author’s concept of the work. It is associated primarily with moral and ethical issues: the definition of boundaries and the essence of free will, crime and punishment. It was found that the motive functionally considered in the novel correlates with the archetypal image of the storm, which traditionally embodies above the personal will and trial, the condition of passage of which is the strength of the moral basis of the individual. For the immoral character, who is the central hero of the novel, Herman (a murderer who is not experiencing remorse and torment of conscience), the wind turned into a storm, carries the semantics of punishment (“frightening” wind, “murderous drafts”). The study revealed the use of Nabokov’s method of increasing gradation in the design of the wind motive, which accompanies Hermann’s doubts and moral throwing, turning into a storm at the moment of final despair. Stillness arises at the climax points of the plot (the murder of an imaginary double and Herman reading his own, which must justify, but expose his mediocrity, “story”). If Herman interprets windcalm as the indifference of being to human life, as the absence of God, then at the author’s level “silence of being” emphasizes Nabokov’s idea of free will: nature does not give signs and does not interfere with a person’s moral choice. The analysis of the wind motive made it possible to reveal, the Pushkin’s fairy tale “Skazka o Rybake i Rybke” / About the Fisherman and the Fish as a significant intertext of the novel; the final “Otchayaniye” (Despair) correlates with the outcome of the tale: the character who wished to become a “despot” not only of his own being, but also of the lives of others (to take the place of God), remained “by the broken washtub”. Conclusion. This study made it possible to expand the understanding of the intertextual connections of the novel by V. Nabokov, to clarify the author’s concept of crime and punishment. | 5837 | Introduction. The study of verbal and cognitive activity of an author and an addressee in the process of co-creation based on the text as a form of communication remains an urgent problem. The modern cognitive-discursive paradigm of scientific knowledge and development of communicative theory of text offer the challenge in the study of text as an object of perception, interpretation and understanding. The aim of the article is the detection of some linguo-cognitive mechanisms of hyperconcept forming as a result of interpretative activity by a subject perceiving the text relying on the regulative theory as one of the directions of the communicative stylistics of the text. Material and methods. The research is examined on the analysis, comparison and generalization of scientific literature on the theory and history of the issue, on the use of the methodology and conceptual and terminological apparatus of the regulative theory, on the application of conceptual, linguistic, semantic and stylistic analysis. The material for the study was the poems of famous Russian poets F. I. Tyutchev, I. A. Bunin, Z. N. Gippius, N. A. Zabolotsky. Results and discussion. The starting point is the following: the interpretation of the text by the addressee depends on linguo-cognitive mechanisms – verbal and cognitive processes that form the generalized meaning of the text (hyperconcept), stimulated by the general system of the text, including the cognitive operations of analysis, comparison, synthesis based on associative activity and an experience of a person. In identifying the hyperconcept, the regulatory strategy of the text, the methods of regulation, the regulatory means and structures which the author used in the text with an orientation towards co-creation with the addressee, “control” of his cognitive activity are important. The lexical system of the text stimulating its associative and semantic deployment in the mind of the reader is especially significant. Interpretive activity presupposes the interconnection of the concepts actualized in the text within the limits of its general conceptual structure based on the relations of complement, enhancement, contrast, inclusion, comparison, generalization. Taking this into account, relying on the regulative theory, the following linguocognitive mechanisms of hyperconcept formation were identified: 1) through amplifying-convergent mechanism, associated with the sequential strengthening of the key concept by various regulatory means and structures in the context of the inductive-deductive lexical macrostructure of the text; with repetition as a way of regulation and a regulatory strategy for the stepwise enhancement of the semantic features of the key concept; 2) closed sequentialadditional, manifested in a phased artistic-figurative concretization of various signs of a hyperconcept based on the use of a strong regulatory strategy of a homogeneous explicit type and repetition as the main way of regulation; 3) comparative-paradoxical, stimulated by the regulatory strategy of the paradoxical-contrastive type; contrast as the main method of regulation and textual paradigms of the antonymic type as a regulatory dominant; 4) comparativesynthesizing, reflecting synthesis (generalization) on the basis of parallel comparative associative-semantic deployment of different facets (features) of the key concept, stimulated by a stepped lexical macrostructure of the inductive-deductive type. Conclusion. The use of the regulative theory and its conceptual and terminological apparatus makes it possible to determine some of the patterns organized by the interpretive activity of the addressee and the linguo-cognitive mechanisms of the formation of the general meaning of the text given in the poetic text. Obtained observations are of interest for further development of the problem of notional interpretation and methods of semantic analysis of the text.
