Activities of teachers of Tomsk Sunday female school corresponded to the general trends in the development of education for adults. Students of different age-group studed here. Teenage girls prevailed among them. Teachers of Sunday school accumulated practice in management of youthful extracurricular reading. This was the innovation of methodical work of teachers. Firstly, they raised the question of the range of children’s reading in the framework of the adult school. The girls studied by the same books as the adults. Of course, this expanded the range of reading for young readers, has contributed to their development. But this required more methodical work of teachers. Secondly, the teachers of Tomsk Sunday female school thought how to instill love of reading in young female pupils. For this purpose they needed to develop their auditory skills first. So, the special role in methods of teaching assigned for teacher’s reading in the classroom. It was to be prepared, emotional, expressive, dialogical. Finally, the question of development of female pupils’ reading culture involved progressive mastery of their reading skills, at the beginning – emotional, later – esthetic, and then – conceptual and analytical. Kalyuzhnyy A.A. Theory-Methodological Particularities of the Image Researches. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2006. Issue 2 (53). P. 68-75

Image is considered to be the product of the special activity on the creation or improvement of image, as the result of making purposeful professional efforts. Social-psychological image definition should take info account its double nature – social and psychological. Being the subject’s unit for the social group, image in definite sense is the unit of the given group for the given subject at the same time, as the image creation occurs in accordance with the deliberate and non-deliberate notions of the subject about the characteristics of the group, for which the image is being created. Image shouldn’t be considered only as the phenomenon of the individual’s mental life, but it is wrong to describe it exclusively as a display of the external factors regarding the individual, including an influence of the group. Image is the display of psyche work on the coordination of its own impulses with individual and group experience.

Tchernyavskaya Y.O., Mamedova E.S. TRANSFORMATION OF FOLKLORE TRADITION IN SMALL PROSE BY SERGEY SILIN. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2021. Issue 1 (213). P. 104-113

Introduction. Sergey Silin’s small prose has not yet been sufficiently researched by literary critics, but it arouses interest among readers of different ages and can be attributed to dual addressed literature. The study of the writer using the techniques of sadistic poems, horror stories and jokes contributes to a deeper understanding of the main trends in modern Russian prose. The purpose of the article is to reveal the genre originality of small prose by Sergey Silin. Material and methods. Theoretical basis for the study were the works of folklorists E. M. Meletinsky, E. Kurganov, O. N. Grechina, M. V. Osorina and others. The research material is short stories and horror stories by S. Silin (“The Fatal Five”, “The Fatal Four”, “Don’t Drown Five Graders!”, “Sambo Lesson”). Result and discussion. The analysis revealed the characteristic features of Silin’s small prose. In his work the author transforms the techniques of urban folklore genres: scary stories, sadistic poems, jokes. Conclusion. S. Silin’s works are dually addressed: not only to children, but also to adults. In his works, the writer uses techniques typical of urban folklore genres – they reflect the cynical attitude to death which is characteristic of sadistic poems; the use of clericalism; the absence of a clear confrontation between good and evil; the division into «good» and «bad» characters; the catharsis is replaced by a humorous ending; the idea of retribution is replaced by a paradoxical ending which emphasizes the immutability of what is happening. The stories most often have a circular composition, indicating that the main conflict of the work remained unresolved.
