Within the framework of the development of the ultradispersed piezoceramic powder safety level, the research of the quantity of the peripheral blood was carried out both experimentally and in the conditions of the working area. In addition workers and employees involved in the production underwent ECG-test-ing, the results showing the dynamics of the twoyears' observations. The discovered derangements have revesible character and testify to inessential morpho-functional shifts in the explored organs and systems.

In the chronic experiment on rats was showed a toxic effect of ultradispersive powder (UDP) for piezoceramics on pulmonary tissue. The complex of structural changes of pulmonary tissue that include appearances of productive inflammation with outlet to sclerosis and collection of compensatory-adaptive reactions has been found. On the whole it is confirm a presence protracted toxic exogenerative nature effect. The toxic effect is consequent of significant increase levels of Pb, Cr and in a less degree Ti (in 19, 3,7 and 3,3 once appropriately) in pulmonary tissue of rats after 4 month experiment

We might conclude that consonantal markers are characteristic of nouns of all three genders, therefore they didn’t relate to the grammatical category of gender, which was formed later. As the markers are rather old, the original meaning of them was connected with an earlier category – category of animateness/inanimateness, i.e. they were markers of animateness. Generation of the grammatical gender was connected with vowel markers.

The article deals with basic periods of formation and development of communicative stylistics of text, which has been growing at the Tomsk State Pedagogical University since 1992 at the department of modern Russian and stylistics (from the end of 2017 the department of the Russian language). Peculiarities of this scientific school and factors that defined its dynamics in scientific context of linguistics at the end of XX – beginning of XXI century are described in the article. In the light of the ideas of the communicative paradigm of linguistic knowledge, in the nineties and early 2000s, the achievements of related sciences are formed that fall under the traditional and functional stylistics, functional lexicology and the theory of the communicative text: the main directions of the communicative stylistics of the text: on the verge of linguistic pragmatics – the regulative theory, on the verge of psycholinguistics – theory of text associations, on the verge of philological hermeneutics – the theory of semantic expansion of the text. Each of these areas of communicative stylistics is aimed at researching the effectiveness of dialogue between the author and the reader with the use of text. The main is the systemic and active approach to the text as a form of communication and the phenomenon of idiostyle of the language personality, which is “left” outside the text. Ideas of communicative and active approach to the text, which are realized in works of this trend, were called for the methods of teaching the Russian language. The basic periods of communicative stylistics of text development are due to new tendencies in language and speech research, connected to extension of units of analysis and to intensification of cognitive and discursive aspects of textual activity, expansion of empirical base of researches, that includes at the beginning of XXI century poetic, advertising, epistolary, media discourses. Cognitive and media vector of development is typical for modern communicative stylistics of text. It is obvious that there is the necessity of further expansion of empirical material associated with genre and style variety of up-to-date media communication, elaboration of typology of informational and media language personalities, research of cognitive aspects of their idiostyle as well as perfection of methods of different types of texts’ analysis in perspective.

Ulyanova U.A. THE FUNCTIONING OF YIDDISH BORROWINGS IN AMERICAN ENGLISH. Tomsk State Pedagogical University Bulletin. 2021. Issue 1 (213). P. 50-56

Introduction. Borrowings from Yiddish language in the American English are considered. This layer of borrowings is of special interest in the English language as the question of systematization of borrowed words from Yiddish and their complex description has not been solved yet. The aim is to describe the structural and functional features of borrowings from the Yiddish language in the American English. Material and methods. The research material is borrowed verbs from the Yiddish language, which belong to the colloquial vocabulary (to kibitz and to schmooze). The research methods are lexicographical and contextual analysis, as well as descriptive and comparative methods. Results and discussion. The borrowed lexemes schmooze and kibitz which are elements of the lexico-semantic field «Verbal communication» have negative connotation in modern English. The analysis of vocabulary definitions and etymology has shown that the meaning of borrowed verbs in English does not coincide with the meaning of the verbs in Yiddish, as in the process of borrowing there was a gradual change in the semantics of borrowed words. The initial meaning of the verbs in Yiddish is connected with information (communication of information). The meanings of the borrowed verbs are based on the common seme «verbal influence» (hidden or obvious). The verb to schmooze has several different meanings: to talk, to manipulate, to influence, to network. The meaning of the verb to kibitz has been divided into several categories: to make ironic comments, to comment, to give intrusive and unrequested advice while watching a game, performance. The shift in the meaning of the verb to schmooze is based on the phonosemantic effect, which is produced by the sound combination schm-. The change in the meaning of the verb to kibitz can be explained by high frequency of use when it appeared in American English. Taking into account the information from academic and slang dictionaries, the exact time of appearance of the lexeme schmooze (1897) and the approximate time for the lexeme kibitz (1910-1927) has been established. Non-conformity with norms of the Yiddish language when the Yiddish borrowings are used by non-Jewish English speakers is the reason of multiple variants of spelling of borrowed words in the English language. Conclusion. The research has focused on the peculiarities of lexicography of borrowed words in academic and slang dictionaries. The results prove that it is necessary to develop an integrated approach to the description of borrowings from the Yiddish language and their description in various dictionaries.

The analysis of senior schoolchildren’s creative works allows state a low level of their speech culture. We can see mechanical memorizing of texts, inability to work with a task and a speech production, which makes the necessity of constructing such a methodical system of handling the information in which certain knowledge and acquired experience permeate pupil’s own ideas and become sensible due to this. Inroduction. Despite numerous publications on the early reception of F.M. Dostoevsky’s work in Great Britain, the scientific literature covers some important facts for understanding the peculiarities of the phenomenon only partially. Among them are the critical responses of the English writer Arnold Bennett pre-echoing the “Dostoevsky cult” in Great Britain. The aim is to elicit the peculiarities of Dostoevsky’s work reception by Bennett in 1910s and to identify the role of the latter in forming the tendencies of the writer’s legacy apprehension in the English culture. Material and methods. Material of the research includes three Bennett’s articles about Dostoevsky, published in The New Age weekly in 1910–1911. The methods comprise cultural-historical, literal-historical and comparative analysis. Results and discussion. In general, A. Bennett in his interpretation of Dostoevsky’s work follows the line of his predecessors. For example, he regards the form of the author’s works as a drawback; while his younger contemporaries will discover its novelty and meaning-making function in the text. Herewith, he rethinks some aspects of the traditional interpretation and calls The Karamazov Brothers, previously underestimated by the critics, an outstanding work. Bennett is not prepared for the deep understanding of the Dostoevsky’s work, but his interest in the author’s legacy, persistent urge to publish the translations play important role in popularizing his books in Great Britain. As a result, Dostoevsky’s novels become a matter of discussions among the young English writers and become available for the common readers. Conclusion. Bennet’s articles about the Russian author make a representative material in terms of learning the critic’s personal reception and in terms of identifying the typical features of the reception of 1910s. They form preconditions for the development of the so-called “Dostoevsky cult”.

The author of the article is reviewing K.A. Barsht's monograph «The Poetics of Andrej Platonov's prose». The book is evaluated against the background of multi¬ple investigations dealing with different pieces and as¬pects of the creative work of the writer. The author of the article points out that K.A. Barsht has investigated the whole of Platonov's prose as a poetical system, he has discovered and described very convincingly the basic images - signs of Platonov's prose and their semantic chains recreating the original ontology and cosmology of the writer.
