| 4284 | In this article we are talking about linguodidactic and methodical potential of specialized lexicographical sources – dictionaries of slang units. It emphasizes the importance of data dictionaries for a foreign media – secondary language personality, mastering the Russian language as a foreign language. It is emphasized that the introduction of foreigners with dictionaries of jargon and their active use in educational activities, and everyday social and interpersonal communication contribute to effective adaptation of the alien within the Russian linguistic culture, effective development of lexical resources of the modern Russian language. These lexicographical publications are the basis of learning of the Russian youth slang by the foreigners who are actively using them as sources of material collection as the reference books contain extremely valuable information regarding the interpretation of the meaning of words and connotative components of these values. Fixing the unit in slang dictionary suggests mandatory setting of the correct accent, specification of the value, using the contextual features and connotative shades of meaning, which is also largely helps an alien as a secondary language person in his language practice to study Russian as a foreign language. In the course of questionning the informants in the audience of foreign undergraduates from China the author highlighted and justified a number of parameters which determine linguodidactic, didactic and methodological value of this type of dictionaries. | 4285 | Introduction. The present paper examines a literary figure of ekphrasis and its implementation through intertextual references in fiction. Despite how relatively ‘researched’ the phenomenon of ekphrasis is, the overwhelming majority of existing works focuses on the transfer of meaning between the verbal and visual mediums. This approach omits the reader’s possible interpretation of ekphrastic descriptions and their stylistic expression in texts. The aim of the research is to carry out a linguistic analysis of ekphrastic intertextual references and their possible impact on the reader’s perception of a fictional text. Material and methods. The study is based on ekphrastic abstracts from the novels by Dina Rubina ‘On the Sunny Side of the Street’ and Margaret Atwood’s ‘Cat’s Eye’. The research methodology uses the following techniques of cognitive poetics: the figure-ground dichotomy, the model of literary resonance, the theory of narrative interrelation. Results and discussion. The cognitive poetic analysis of the ekphrastic representations of characters has shown: • intertextual references link scenes within a narrative; • intertextual references supply additional symbolic and metaphorical meanings to an artwork; • intertextual references imitate the visual organisation of an art object at the syntactic, semantic and textual levels. Conclusion. Using cognitive poetic methods of linguistic analysis, we examined stylistic expression of ekphrasis in a literary text. Taking the role of a figure, the character depicted in the painting acts as a pronounced attractor when influencing the reader’s perception. This perceptual influence is confirmed by the typical semantic, syntactic and stylistic characteristics of attractors presented in the analysed passages. Comparison of the ekphrastic descriptions and the corresponding context revealed the parallelism of the used constructions, which indicates a similar organisation of their figure-background relations. Parallelism can be also marked as specific intertextual references, through which an art object is actualised in the reader’s mind. In addition to the contextual environment, intertextual references contribute to the symbolic realisation of a character in a literary text, complementing their representation with metaphorical and conceptual meanings. | 4286 | Introduction. Digitalization of education is in demand due to the new didactic capabilities of computer technologies. However, so far there are extremely few examples of describing the pedagogical experience of teachers in this direction. The use of animated drawings in algebra lessons of the 7th grade contributes to the formation of a personality ready to unleash its creative potential in the digital economy. At the same time, interested students can be offered an educational and research task to create animated drawings under the guidance of a teacher. The aim of the research is to present fragments of algebra lessons in the 7th grade using animation drawings made in the GeoGebra environment. Material and methods. The study and analysis of literature on the use of dynamic drawings in teaching mathematics at school, summarizing the author’s experience in testing the elements of the methodology for teaching algebra in the 7th grade using animated drawings, which are elements of the digitalization of school education. Results and discussion. The author uses concrete examples to present a new technology of teaching using animated drawings in algebra lessons of the 7th grade. Conclusion. The analysis of school textbooks on mathematics of different years has shown that there are significantly more illustrations in modern textbooks: drawings, diagrams, graphs, drawings depicting figures, bodies and their intersections. We observe the principle of clarity in its development. Today, computer technologies allow us to take the next step in this direction and move from stationary drawings to animated ones. The use of new teaching technology using animated drawings in algebra lessons of the 7th grade increases the level of understanding and assimilation of knowledge by providing clarity of mathematical concepts and statements, eliminating undesirable computational difficulties, conducting operational testing. Animated drawings help the teacher to create the same type of tasks with a predictable solution. They provide opportunities for experimentation and support for an experimental research style of learning. All this makes it relevant to create animated content for conducting math lessons at school. Consequently, the systematic use of computer technology in teaching mathematics increases the active participation of students in research work. The material of the article can be considered as a contribution to the solution of this methodological problem. | 4294 | The article reveals the ways of implementing the subject approach to the design of the personal development program in the general education organization. The relevance of the problem is justified by the requirements of federal state educational standards for general education, the educational component of which presupposes the design of its own personal development program, taking into account the characteristics of the socio-cultural environment, the needs of the subjects of education. The article shows how to involve children in the process of creating and developing a personal development program, to form a space for self-realization of children on the basis of social design techniques. It is shown that the principle of subjectivity presupposes the organization of educational content, which would be inherently the space of children’s self-determination, would provide children with the opportunity to choose topics for projects, content and activities, roles and social positions in collective activities, forms, methods, time frame, cooperation partners , etc. The article contains approaches to developing a variable personal development program as a system of children’s projects - collective, group, individual. The content of personal development is reflected in the program in the form of thematic cycles of the project activity, which are a set of various types, subjects, duration and composition of project participants with gaming instrumentation, suggest the integration of various types of children’s activities in accordance with the main directions and values of the personal development of students in primary school. | 4295 | The article considers the way linguistic and cultural knowledge is used in translation and justifies the need to view a translator as a professional native and foreign language user. Similarly, it is important to recognize the specific character of translator’s language knowledge because, firstly, it is a tool in a professional cross-cultural mediation in translation; secondly, it provides the basis for the acquisition, development and functioning of translation skills. An attempt is made to identify the characteristics of translator’s linguacultural knowledge relevant to the process of code-switching, which should be viewed as the switching of linguacultural codes in order to reflect the interlingual and cross-cultural aspects of translation. Based on the analysis of the mental processes and mechanisms of linguacultural switching the following characteristics of translator’s lingualcultural knowledge have been proposed. Chunk-based language knowledge is represented by communicative chunks and communicative contours and is able to improve access, activation and retrieval of linguistic knowledge, error control, the functioning of radiant thinking and spreading activation. Frame-based knowledge of a foreign language creates the framework for probabilistic forecasting, facilitates direct access to conceptual representations in a foreign language, raises its activation level and reduces its dependence on the native language, as well as improving integration of linguistic and conceptual information into semantic memory. Systemic language knowledge means knowing a language as a system of dependencies and connections and ensures distinctness, flexibility and mobility of language knowledge. Language awareness involves the ability to pay attention to language forms, reflect on language, patterns and specific character of its functioning. Such awareness develops the skill of separating two languages and cultures, improves language and error control and prevents linguistic interference. Functional parallelism reflects the type of relationship between two language systems and is made up of systemic, communicative and operational aspects. The last characteristic involves the awareness of the linguistic factors causing breakdowns in code-switching in translation, as well as the ability to predict and deal with such problems. Collectively, the above-mentioned characteristics form the readiness and ability of a translator to code-switch. The development of these characteristics should be made part of professionally oriented foreign language teaching to trainee translators. | 4296 | Introduction. The concept education is one of the most significant in the conceptual sphere of modern society, as evidenced by the unflagging interest in this mental-linguistic universalism both at the level of the national conceptual sphere and at the level of individual discourses and discursive practices. In the online diaspora discourse, the representation of the concept education acquires vivid features, since the analysis of the Internet communication of the representatives of the Russian diaspora in China reflects a special variant of the Russian linguistic culture oriented to the Chinese culture, which is due to the novelty and relevance of this research. Aim and objectives. The purpose of this article is to describe the specifics of representation of the concept education in network discourse of the Russian-speaking diaspora of China, based on the analysis of its inolinguistic cultural substrate. Material and methods. More than 10,000 texts of Internet communication of members of the Russian-speaking diaspora community in China, containing the name of the analyzed concept and its other lexical representatives, became the material of the study. In addition to the methodological tools of interlinguoculturology and lexical semantics, the analysis uses techniques of quantitative, contextual and discourse analysis. Results and discussion. As the analysis has shown, among the components of the inolinguistic cultural substrate of the concept education, the following lexical units of Chinese characteristic of the Russian-Chinese language environment are of the greatest interest: лаоши 715 (老师138), вайцзяо 138 (外教 40), сюешен/сюэшен 5 (学生 112), сюэюань 2 (学院 64). Conclusions were made about the ambiguity of the definition of the concept сюэюань due to the ambiguity and multivariance of its translation, leading to disputes about the correctness of the classification of higher education institutions in China; about the exceptionally positive connotation of the xenonym вайцзяо, the ambivalent connotation of the lexemes лаоши and сюэюань, as well as predominantly negative – the lexical unit сю- ешен; the identification of oneself by Russian teachers from лаоши and вайцзяо without the need to translate Chinese equivalents into Russian in connection with full acceptance of this professional role and status as respected and honorable in Chinese society and culture.
