| 4352 | The immense interest in metaphor has resulted in the emergence of a massive literature on the subject. From this academic interest in metaphor, a growing interest in metonymy has emerged over recent years, resulting in the formation of an impressive body of research, almost entirely from a cognitive linguistics perspective. The new works on metonymy show a consensus around a number of claims: that metonymy, like metaphor, is a conceptual phenomenon; that metonymy, like metaphor, plays a central role in conceptualization and communication; and that metonymy and metaphor can be identified as distinct, though related, phenomena. Metonymy is not just a type of language but reflects a significant form of human cognition. Metonymy differs from metaphor by the number of domains. In metaphor, there are two conceptual domains, and one thing is understood in terms of another. On the other hand, metonymy involves only one conceptual domain, in that the connection between two things is within the same domain, or within the same domain matrix. There are many types of metonymy and the least investigated of them is the relation between the metric system units and the means of inaccurate measures which can be used alternatively to indicate the space measurements within the same domain. | 4369 | The article contains the research results of different levels of interpretation and perception of hagiographic texts about saint old man, Fedor Tomskiy, written for children’s readership, recipients of adolescence in Tomsk. The results of experiment are provided according to the horizon of reader’s expectations, to the analysis of which the first part of the article is devoted. The pretext experiment, based on a questionnaire survey among the pupils of Sunday schools and general education schools of Tomsk, had the aim to identify different types of readers, belonging to secular and religious cultures, which affected their ideas of hagiographic genre, phenomenon of sanctity and knowledge of particular saints. The perception of hagiographic works for children by pupils of Sunday schools and general education schools in Tomsk was studied during the second experiment. This research was conducted within the receptive aesthetics which is aimed to study the reader’s response to works and particularities of text’s perception. And the functional reality of work is determined by interacting of the reader and the textual structure. Modern works of art and religion, written for young reader, have different formal and informative levels, modal and value plans. The understanding of difficult textual structure happens only in the process of its specification by recipient. The recipient determines relevance and semantic content of the work, distinguishes emotional and semantic dominant of the text in the process of aesthetic perception. In the course of the experiment, a correlation was found between the reader’s reception of the text and the pretextfactors. The main factor in perception of art and religious text is secular or religious world view. | 4370 | Introduction. The study of discourse typology is one of the advanced research lines in communicative linguistics. Engineering communication is becoming a subject of increased focus for linguists due to its rapid development driven by dynamic changes in technology, society and industry, which is resulted in continuous exchange of information between the members of the engineering society. Despite the significant number of discourse studies in different social institutions, engineering discourse remains an understudied area as Russian researchers traditionally consider it as a part of the scientific or scientific and technical discourse. In view of the fact that discourse is translated into certain genres, and genres, in turn, are always included into a certain discourse field, authors propose the idea that the engineering discourse provides a series of particular core genres which reflect the values, strategy and information of engineering communication and make it distinct from the scientific discourse. The paper addresses the distinguishing characteristics in lexical organization of the technical standard to reveal the fact that the genre of standard meets the goals of engineering communication. Material and methods. As the empiric material of the research 184 pages of running Russian standards for the engineering technology and equipment were used. The texts of the standards were exploited as the subject matter for discourse analysis. Content analysis as a general research technique provided the identification of the quantitative aspect in the lexical structure of technical standards. The efficiency of this technique was proven by international schools of discourse analysis and by national researchers as well. Results and discussion. The analysis of the lexical structure of standards revealed the key discursive aspects of the studied genre, which identified the standard as a core genre of engineering discourse. Conclusion. As to performed analysis, the technical standard genre meets the primary goal of professional communication in the engineering field. The peculiar characteristics of the genre studied are determined by the demands of discourse and communicative situation as well. | 4371 | Introduction. The use of poetic texts as didactic materials is an effective method of teaching Russian as a foreign language. This study aims to describe the methodological and linguistic aspects of interpreting perceptual semantics in poetic works by Marina Tsvetaeva. The interpretation of literary works in perceptual terms facilitates understanding these works’ messages and provides an opportunity for studying and applying units with the meaning of perception in communicative practice. Material and methods. The material for the study was poems by Marina Tsvetaeva with a pronounced semantics of perception (270 poems, 547 contexts). The main research methods were the linguo-stylistic analysis of the texts, the conceptual and semantic analysis of the keywords, and a linguocultural commentary. Results and discussion. When selecting poems for lessons in a foreign-language audience, it is essential to take into account the students’ cognitive interest, the principle of accessibility, and the principle of the methodological value of the poems for studying. When interpreting texts and analyzing perceptual images, foreign students encounter lexical, grammatical, stylistic, and linguocultorological difficulties. By successfully overcoming the difficulties, students perceive the messages and the emotional tonalities of the poems. The titles of certain poems set “perceptual dominants” conceptually expressed in the further semantic development of the text (“V Sumerkakh” [At Dusk], “Luch Serebristyy” [Ray of Silver], “Nochnye Shepota: Shelka . . .” [Night Whispers: Silk . . .], etc.). Tasks on the analysis of perceptual images and the linguo-poetic analysis of poems must be formulated in accordance with the main stages of the lesson. The actualization of skills and abilities involves the use of individual perceptual experience and information available to students about literary texts. Pre-reading tasks aim to capture the readers’ interest and encourage them to be creative (conceptual guess and comparison). Reading tasks aim to analyze the means of expressing perceptual images at the lexical, grammatical, and stylistic levels of the poem. The focus is on keywords with perceptual semantics. Post-reading tasks aim to generalize and interpret the material. Conclusion. The linguo-stylistic analysis of poems by Marina Tsvetaeva in terms of perception allows foreign students to present one of the options for interpreting the texts using their linguistic and sensory experience. The students understand the functions perceptual units perform, observe the implementation of direct and figurative meanings of keywords, and see how the author expresses her intention at all the levels of the texts. Material and methods. The article is based on a complex approach including biographical, cultural-historical, comparative-typological, historical-literary, historical-functional methods. Results and discussion. The main points of the reports were briefly presented, the topical aspects of Erdmann’s work were pointed out, the range of works of literature and theater discussed in the context of his work was outlined, and an idea of translations and productions of Erdmann’s plays in European countries was formed. Conclusion. | 4384 | Introduction. Digitalization of education is in demand due to the new didactic capabilities of computer technologies. However, so far there are extremely few examples of describing the pedagogical experience of teachers in this direction. The use of animated drawings in algebra lessons of the 7th grade contributes to the formation of a personality ready to unleash its creative potential in the digital economy. At the same time, interested students can be offered an educational and research task to create animated drawings under the guidance of a teacher. The aim of the research is to present fragments of algebra lessons in the 7th grade using animation drawings made in the GeoGebra environment. Material and methods. The study and analysis of literature on the use of dynamic drawings in teaching mathematics at school, summarizing the author’s experience in testing the elements of the methodology for teaching algebra in the 7th grade using animated drawings, which are elements of the digitalization of school education. Results and discussion. The author uses concrete examples to present a new technology of teaching using animated drawings in algebra lessons of the 7th grade. Conclusion. The analysis of school textbooks on mathematics of different years has shown that there are significantly more illustrations in modern textbooks: drawings, diagrams, graphs, drawings depicting figures, bodies and their intersections. We observe the principle of clarity in its development. Today, computer technologies allow us to take the next step in this direction and move from stationary drawings to animated ones. The use of new teaching technology using animated drawings in algebra lessons of the 7th grade increases the level of understanding and assimilation of knowledge by providing clarity of mathematical concepts and statements, eliminating undesirable computational difficulties, conducting operational testing. Animated drawings help the teacher to create the same type of tasks with a predictable solution. They provide opportunities for experimentation and support for an experimental research style of learning. All this makes it relevant to create animated content for conducting math lessons at school. Consequently, the systematic use of computer technology in teaching mathematics increases the active participation of students in research work. The material of the article can be considered as a contribution to the solution of this methodological problem. | 4398 | The article is devoted to the one of the last plays by E. L. Shvarts “A Story of a Young Couple”). It is devoted to the problem of mutual understanding of loving people, their readiness to build relationship in a family and accept a compromise. The motive “learner-teacher” plays an essential role in the logic of the play. This motive is developing during the act of the play and is linking plotlines of different characters. This motive is shown on several levels: verbal, situational and on the level of the system of characters. The author of the article has tried to analyse the semantic spectrum of the motive. In the post-war time the loss of kin relations is filled up with family creation that is with clan creation. It distinguishes the work of E. L. Shvarts from the Soviet literature representing a family as the state. An important psychological, social and ontological role is played in this case by “teachers” who are keepers and propagators of life values. The followers are represented by people of young generation who have already created families or who are on the way toward it. The teachers are people of older generation (tutors, fellow workers, casual acquaintances and also come to life toys, the appearance of which attaches fabulousness to the play. The federal state educational standards for higher professional education are analyzed for this purpose; as well as objectsubject area of PhD researches, and views of lecturers from pedagogical institutions on student training for pedagogical activity. Objectives, content and results of pedagogical training are pointed out as a criterion for analysis. Problem analysis also includes preliminary statement of the problem based on phenomenological analysis of the practice. | 4400 | The article describes some results of a research on the techniques of teaching the discipline «Methodology and information technologies of project management» to the students of the field «Applied Informatics». This work develops the statements of works [1–3]. The present article generalizes authors’ teaching experience and demonstrates some working practice. The research on educational process shows the necessity of subject field extension to provide future graduates with related theoretical and practical knowledge that will enlarge their professional skills and thus will forward them to be more successful and competitive in work. Thus, the aim of the study is to improve the existing disciplines’ programs to build a branched system of teaching and learning materials that will meet the requirements of contemporary educational process. In this article some questions of teaching techniques the discipline «Methodology and information technologies of project management» are considered. Some elements of electronic courses are presented, as far as the system of evaluation of educational achievements is described. Microsoft Project that is studied among existing management systems was chosen to demonstrate some evaluation tests and education material. The Moodle platform served as basis for summing up and testing of created techniques. Further goals on educational system development are also argued. It is planned to continue the development of electronic courses intended for supporting independent student work while studying the disciplines.
