The reasons for the benefits of metaphorical means of abstract concept’s representation are given. The survey identifies the anthroponyms associated with the concept traitor in the British conceptual sphere, besides, the peculiarities of their usage as means of verbalization of the studied concept are described. The special attention in the article is devoted to the metaphorical concept Judas that is viewed as an equivalent of the concept traitor. The analysis of the collocations with the word Judas as their cognitive center proves that the concept Judas can substitute the concept traitor, correlates with the common adjacent concepts and acts as an effective way of expressing the evaluating aspect. | 4803 | The article deals with the notion of “strategic speech competence” in the composition of communicative competence, its structure, represented by substantial and pragmatic components. The urgency of the proposed problem is to intensify the process of teaching the Korean language at school and at a university. One of the ways to solve the problem of preparing graduates for speaking in a foreign language in the Korean language is the formation of strategic speech competence among students in the process of mastering the Korean language. The content component reflects the specifics of the Korean language, namely knowledge of cultural traditions, knowledge of social situations and social functions of communication, non-verbal features of oral-speech communication in the Korean language. The pragmatic component is represented by a complex of compensatory, perceptual and discursive skills. Particular attention is paid to the definition of a “discursive skill”, a “discursive marker”. The discursive skills include 1) the ability to accurately formulate your thoughts, 2) the ability to accurately use a variety of language tools, 3) the ability to defend your point of view, 4) the ability to introduce yourself; 5) the ability to put forth possible variants “For” and “Against”; 6) the ability to conclude, 7) the ability to end the conversation. The discursive markers include introductory sentences, prepositional constructions, introductory words, particles, functioning primarily in oral speech and orienting it on the listener. Discursive markers in Korean are distinguished. Methodical techniques aimed at forming strategic speech competence and teaching oral-speech communication in the Korean language are proposed. The problem of the development of educational independence of children of primary school age is posed as the basic meta-subject competence, indicated in the educational standard. As the main way of developing educational independence, it is proposed to organize cooperation of different ages between students of the second and fourth grades. Aim. Description of the experience of conducting different-age lessons and presentation of the positive impact of different-age cooperation on the formation of educational independence. Material and methods. Analysis of literature sources in order to identify effective ways of different-age cooperation; development and testing of the stages of this technology; monitoring the activities of children in differentage groups; conducting and analyzing diagnostic work. Results and discussion. The pedagogical tasks that are realized by educational communication of children of different ages are highlighted. It is shown how it is possible to organize educational sessions of different ages on the topic «Phonetics», in which schoolchildren will communicate in a pair «second grader – fourth grader», completing tasks compiled for each other. There are three stages in the organization of such educational work: preparatory, at which interesting tasks are designed and drawn up; the main one, when children interact in a couple of different ages, and the reflexive one, where educational successes and difficulties are discussed together. The cycle of classes ends with a test on a topic with an educational content common to all children. Conclusion. The results of this work are given and the relationship between the subject results and the position in which the student’s academic independence was manifested is shown. It is concluded that the interaction of children of different ages, in which both the older and younger students have the opportunity to show their active (teaching) position, has a positive effect on internal motivation, communicative and regulatory actions, as well as on subject skills. | 4820 | Adequate reproduction of the national-cultural color of the text is always at the center of the translation and accentuates the problem of the interrelation between language and culture. The translation of the works of the XIX century with the specific style and a large number of obsolete words and realities is complicated because of the need to preserve the historical color. The national coloring of the work is manifested in such elements of the text as the plot, characters, individual realities, which are the most “nationally” painted vocabulary, situations that at first glance do not have a pronounced national character. When translating, there is often a situation where cultural information, understandable to the native speaker, does not correspond to information contained in the target language. The analysis showed that in the English version of the story, the denotative meaning of the original language units is preserved in most cases. However, the connotative significance of realities is often lost, which damages the reproduction of the national color of the story. During the transfer, a significant part of the stylistic specificity of Gogol disappeared. The title of the cycle “Evenings in Little Russia”, which led to the change of the name of the stories (“An evening in May”, “Mid-summer evening”), removes the accent on the national color of Dikanka made by Gogol. Successful reception of preservation of national color can be considered transcription of realities and transfer of its content as a descriptive expression. In some parts of the text, in particular where appropriate equivalents are used, interpreters manage to convey the national flavor of the story, but in most cases the national color is lost.
